IMPROVING NATURAL DIAMOND MEMO & ORDERING RESULTS IN THE LAB-GROWN WORLD

Liam Boehme, M. Geller Diamonds

This presentation will focus on how to position naturals and higher-ticket items in a world dominated by low-cost, lab-grown marketing. In its 40+ years as a special-order memo house, M. Geller has spent years developing the best methods to improve special-order memo results for retailers, as well as helping develop the segment for jewelers who are more comfortable selling out of the case. We will examine three case studies where M. Geller and special-order expertise helped retailers grow their diamond business by as much as 60%. Furthermore, we will address the challenges faced by retailers in the recently volatile diamond market.

While lab-grown profit percentages look great on the books, actual dollar profit is continuously shrinking — and retailers are looking to improve results. Our meeting will discuss how to present both options, educate their staff and customers, and utilize our brandnew (and FREE) technology suite to compete with e-retailers, close sales faster, and be a 21st century retailer to reach younger consumers who have become the largest buying group in the jewelry industry.

In total, the program will evaluate where attending retailers are, how they compare to results in their regions, and steps to improve sales though as well as the free tools to achieve them.

This presentation briefly covers branding, positioning, and marketing in general, and then dives into and explains the most appropriate (not the most common) strategy for building a solid online presence for your jewelry company. We will explain the tactics involved and the purpose of building your digital marketing plan’s (the showroom) foundation first, then moving up to build the walls and main floor, followed by the VIP suite in the upper level. Doing it any other way will not be as effective, will cost more, and result in wasted marketing dollars.

10:30 - 12:30 p.m.

FROM RSVP TO ROI: GETTING PEOPLE THROUGH THE DOOR *PANEL DISCUSSION*

Facilitated by Buzz Advertising

Struggling to turn interest into in-store traffic? Tired of planning events that don’t deliver results? Join marketing experts from Punchmark, TTG, Buzz Advertising, Jewelry Store Marketers, and a few other special guests as they dive into what makes modern retail events successful. This engaging panel will explore why traditional events may be falling short, how to create buzz that actually brings people in, and innovative event ideas tailored for today’s jewelry customer. Walk away with actionable strategies to turn RSVPs into real traffic — and real ROI.

TRACK TWO

10 EMPLOYMENT LAWS EVERY

JEWELRY BUSINESS SHOULD KNOW

Liz Fraccaro, Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC)

This session breaks down 10 important employment laws and updates in plain language, so you understand what applies to you and how to stay out of trouble. We’ll talk about how to classify your workers, what you can and can’t say in interviews, social media use, how to handle complaints, and more.

Attendees will learn:

• The basics of hiring and managing employees the right way

• Tips for avoiding common mistakes that lead to legal issues

• Legal dos and don’ts around social media and employee privacy

TRACK THREE

JEWELRY REPAIRS: THE GOLDMINE YOU’RE IGNORING

Lawson, JD & Co

Is your repair revenue stuck in neutral? In this high-energy session, we’ll uncover three critical reasons why your repairs may not be reaching their full potential — and, more importantly, how to fix it. You'll hear real success stories of jewelers who have implemented these strategies and seen repair revenue soar by 300%!

Learn how to bridge the gap between bench jewelers and sales teams, optimize training for better performance, and create stronger customer connections that lead to bigger sales. Walk away with proven techniques to maximize efficiency, boost profitability, and turn repairs into one of your most valuable revenue streams.

TRACK FIVE

MAKING THE INTERNET WORK FOR YOUR STOREFRONT (NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND)

John Daugherty and Nick Failla, Collected Concepts

Think SEO is just for your website? Think again! In the past it sounded like you had to spend a fortune to get found online. Turns out, you don’t. In this high-energy, slightly irreverent session, we’ll show you how artificial intelligence isn’t just for tech nerds — it’s your new secret weapon for getting butts in seats (and feet in your store). Learn how to harness AI to not only rank higher online but also turn searches into store visits. Even better? The same strategy teaches your team about product features, benefits, and how to romance every item like it’s the star of The Show! You’ll walk away with real-world tools to boost team confidence, close more sales, and finally understand what your marketing agency should be doing. And here’s the kicker — it’s an easy, repeatable process that you can do yourself (yes, even if you still think ChatGPT is a new diamond shape). This isn’t fluff — it’s fun, functional, and totally future-proof. Perfect for store owners who want their team to work smarter (not harder) and their sales floor to feel like a sales force. If you’ve ever wondered how to get more people into your store by improving your website, (without hiring anyone or spending a dime), this session is your new best friend. You’ll walk away thinking, “Wow — I can totally do this.”

11:30 a.m. - 12:20 p.m.
