and wine. Classmates were once again “students” as they participated in this popular reunion event. Saturday culminated with the President’s Cocktail Reception, and Alumni and Donor Recognition Dinner. Reunion guests and Leading the Way donors gathered for conversation outside on the Dion Center Plaza. The reception was followed by an awards dinner for more than 150 guests. The Class of 1967 was inducted into the Rivier University Golden Society, acknowledging the 50th anniversary of their graduation and their devotion to their

alma mater. Outstanding achievement awards were presented to alumni, as well as the Sister Madeleine of Jesus Award, the University’s highest honor. (Recipients are featured on page 12.) Sunday morning old friends and former classmates returned to campus to celebrate a Reunion Mass in Resurrection Chapel, followed by a Champagne Breakfast with the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. Yearbooks served as table centerpieces, sparking more memories, much laughter, and a few tears. “It was a truly memorable event for all

who attended,” says Heather Petro, Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations. “This reunion was a gathering of friends who have become family to one another. It was easy to see the special place Rivier has in their hearts.” To all who joined the reunion in person and in spirit, the University thanks you. Your connections to each other and Rivier continue to support and inform who we are today. Please join us again next year!
