Job Specification
• The role holder will provide reliable and effective underwriting and operational support to the D&O Underwriting Team from pre-underwriting (such as recording submissions) through to post-bind (such as cash collection).
• There is the opportunity to evolve towards more senior roles in either underwriting or operations.
Principal duties and responsibilities
• Working closely with the Underwriters in the department to create and maintain accurate information within ZEUS (the RISING EDGE designed and proprietary underwriting system).
• Review of submissions entered into ZEUS and comparisons to documents received from the brokers/underwriters.
• Monitor and ensure that all risks entered onto ZEUS are correctly approved by the various stakeholders and all checklists (such as subjectivities) are completed.
• Once bound, to maintain a control of missing slips and chase brokers according to agreed guidelines.
• On receipt of the slip, to enter EEA/ Non EEA Split, review previous data entries (inception date, commission levels, signed lines etc) and create policy.
• On policy creation, enter all business splits and tax amounts to correspond with the broker closing. Once completed, book the policy in our administrative system.
• Raise debit notes and statements of account as required. Agree broker statements of amounts owed.
• Investigate any differences between booked premiums and amounts received.
• To create MTAs / policy adjustment where necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities includes supporting the general administration of the office including office supplies etc.
Contributes to the Company’s result by:
• Guaranteeing that the underwriters have accurate and up to date information to assist them in performing their duties.
• Ensuring that information within ZEUS is accurate to enable correct financial reporting and accurate cash collection.
Required Education

• Recently graduated or Strong A-level with relevant experience and attributes.
