Ramadan is a holy month and lasts a full lunar cycle. Teams is the main form of communication between staff in school, followed by email It is expected that staff check their Teams and email frequently throughout the day when not teaching

The school Nurse is responsible for the assessment, treatment and referral of student injuries and illnesses that occur during the school day. Teachers will be informed by the nurse of children with severe medical conditions. If a student develops an acute illness during school hours,sendthemtotheNurse(studentsinEY1toGrade1shouldbeescortedbyanadult) The nursewillcontacttheparentsifnecessary
Ifastudentisinjuredorunwell,theschoolnursewillbethepersontoadministerfirstaid Ifthe student is unable to make it to the Clinic, the Nurse should be called to the incident. They can be contacted on Teams, or on the Nurse mobile number if it is an emergency. (Emergency Number for the Nurse – 056 511 6281). There are first aid kits placed around the school for the Nursestoaccess ThesealsohavedetailsoftheNursesmobilenumbers
Any blow to the head or neck must be taken very seriously and the nurse should be informedimmediately.
EY and Grade 1 students should be accompanied by the LA to the Clinic. It is the adult’s responsibilitytoensurethatthecorrectclass,studentnameandreasonforclinicvisithave beengiventothenurses
FromGrade2upwards,studentsareallowedtovisittheClinicunattended Studentsshould getaClinicPassfromtheirteacher.
If the Nurse recommends for the child to go home, they will call the parents and arrange this.
