Add Thread locker to RXF Spring side Top Cap threads Problem description Insufficient torque when tightening the Spring side Top cap, can in some cases cause the Top cap to loosen from the Crown. This in turn can cause the Spring Top cap to unscrew and the fork to lose its ride height. There is no urgent need to stop riders from using the product. Loctite 243 (Blue) Thread locker shall be applied to the Top Cap threads during service. Spring side Top cap

Service instructions: 1. Use a 28 mm socket to unscrew the Top cap from the crown. Remove any potential lubrication from threads using a dry cloth. Note: If the fork is an RXF36 Coil remember to turn the preload adjuster to minimum before unscrewing Top cap.
2. Apply Loctite 243 (Blue) Thread locker to the outside of the Top cap thread. The Thread locker should cover at least 2-3 complete turns of the thread.
32 Nm
3. Use a 28 mm socket and Torque wrench to reinstall the Top cap in the Fork crown. Tighten the Top cap to 32 Nm.
When removing the Air Spring cartridge, it is easy to damage the Top Cap. Put pressure on the wrench while unthreading the Top Cap.
