Entr'Acte Femininomenon Program

Director’s Note

I could not come up with a name for this project that encapsulated the perspectives, the power and the incredible barrier breaking that these tremendously gifted, skilled writers and composers have brought to the worlds of theatre and popular music. Luckily, a couple of our very talented Musical Theatre majors happened to have their fingers on the cultural pulse of the moment, pointed me toward the meteoric rise of new musical artist Chappell Roan and suggested the current buzzword, FEMININOMENON. It has joyously captured the Fall ’24 zeitgeist and truly provides us with an excellent umbrella under which to stand and celebrate the outstanding contributions of these pioneers who have been breaking glass ceilings during every decade of the past hundred years.

I hope that you will enjoy all of the hard work, heart and commitment of our Rider MTs and I join you in gleeful anticipation of all of the barrier breaking and ceiling shattering that this generation is about to pursue. Thanks for being here!
