Meet Long Island’s Outstanding Real Estate Industry Professionals

The Law Offices of Gilbert Balanoff, P.C.

Gil has lectured for the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations as well as serving on several committees. Tiffany is following right in her father’s footsteps. She was recently elected for a 3-year term to serve on the Board of Directors for NYSAR (New York State Association of REALTORS®); she is a Graduate of the NYSAR ITI Instructor Training Institute so that she can teach real estate classes for continuing education. She also sits on several committees for both NYSAR and LIBOR (Long Island Board of REALTORS®) just like her Dad.

Tiffany also gets her drive to continuously educate herself, from her Dad. She has several accreditations and designations such as ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative), PSA (Pricing Strategy Advisor), RENE (Real Estate Negotiation Expert), SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist), and SRS (Seller Representative Specialist).

Gil has a great rapport with agents and brokers and is always willing to share knowledge and information with them even when he is not the attorney involved in the transaction. His clients know that they can communicate with him throughout the process and even well after the closing.

Gilbert Balanoff has been practicing law for 50 years, representing clients in real estate matters for both commercial and residential transactions.

In 2016, when his daughter, Tiffany Balanoff, decided to get her real estate license they started a collaboration that still exists today. Tiffany credits her father with having provided her an enormous amount of insight and education that not only helped her get ahead in the industry but also allows for smoother transactions with her clients.

Both Father and Daughter are award winners in this family. Gil has recently received the Herald Long Island Top Lawyer Award and is currently a Top 3 Finalist for the Herald’s Long Island Choice Awards. Tiffany has been a #1 agent at Rockville Centre’s Douglas Elliman Real Estate office, a company wide Douglas Elliman Leading Edge Award Winner, and recently received the Top 5 Agent in Nassau County Award for the second year in a row from RateMyAgent.
