he Center for Adult Life Enrichment in Hewlett will work to ensure that its senior members are protected when the center does reopen following months of closure because of the coronavirus pandemic, said Executive Director Lee Gerardi. The center is typically open Monday through Friday. Known as CALE, the center is headquarted in what was once a carriage house on the Hewlett Estate, and it offers a wide array of programs, activities and trips for seniors, whose ages range from their 60s to 90s. Optimistic about reopening, Gerardi said members are treated like family. Center officials have found online entertain-
