WHAT DO STAFF SOMETIMES ASK FOR HELP WITH?
REIGATE GRAMMAR SCHOOL USEFUL CONTACTS
We all have times when life can feel a bit overwhelming. This can be due to any one of a number of things, from a patch of poor physical or emotional health, to family pressures, to something at work feeling a challenge to manage. Teaching is a really exciting profession but term time can also feel very busy and we often find that staff appreciate just talking through how to manage their week, for example, how to balance marking and planning with extra-curricular commitments.
Staff may be emailed by prefixing @reigategrammar.org with the initials listed.

HOW CAN RGS HELP IF YOU HIT A TRICKY PATCH?
USEFUL LINKS
The most important thing is to speak to someone early on so that we can offer support. Your HoD or SLT link is always a good place to start. Or you can talk to someone from the HR Department, or our School Counsellor, Nurse or Chaplain. Being open with us means that we can take an individual approach to looking after you. Maybe you need to leave early to see a sick relative, or need some strategies for managing marking or planning. Maybe there is a health worry and we can make a referral on your behalf to occupational health. Staff who might be experiencing a difficult time can also speak in confidence to our School Counsellor or to the Chaplain. All it takes is that first step to talk, email or see someone...and then we can help.
