For the fifth time in a row Gerresheimer Querétaro was awarded in the “Gerresheimer Management System, GMS” T his year 2019 the awards are in the categories “Quality Systems 2019” and “Methods and Tools 2019”. With these two recognitions, the Gerresheimer Querétaro plant sets records for the group’s plant with the highest number of cumulative recognitions and the closing of the total cycle of recognitions in the 5 categories that Gerresheimer A.G. awards worldwide. During the last 5 years, Gerresheimer Mexico has been recognized for its management in “Employee Systems” with two awards “Best Plant Award”: “Manufacturing Methods and Tools”, and “Supply Chain Material Systems”.
The confidence of our investors and our board of directors has also let us receive the appropriate investments to continue modernizing our machinery and equipment as well to continue to expand the product lines and increase manufacturing capacity. Not only within the group, but also in the tubular glass packaging industry, we are the only plant in the world to manufacture the largest range of packaging for the pharmaceutical industry including Ampoules, Vials, Prefillable Syringes (RTF), Ready to Fill Vials, Ultra-thin Wall Ampoules and Dental and Insulin Cartridges with a production capacity of more than 1.7 billion units per year.
The awards were this year in the category “Quality Systems” for the project for the automation of the quality assurance process of the e-batch vials plant and in the category “Methods and Tools” for the continuous improvement process in the pre-fill syringe plant “RTF Syringes”.
Our investment plans for the following years will be focused on modernization and expansion for high value-added products for our customers, where we will be able to supply incremental volumes of pre-fillable syringes and vials ready to fill in “RTF” or “Ready To Fill” format, where we deliver pre-washed and sterile products complying with the strictest international quality standards of the pharmaceutical industry.
As a result of the focus on total quality, customer service and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, the Queretaro plant sets the record for the highest number of cumulative awards of the Gerresheimer Group, and the closing of the cycle of 5 categories but the most important thing for the more than 500 employees at this plant is the recognition of our customers with their trust and commitment to continue to be a highly reliable supplier of their packaging needs for their injectable drugs.
