ROAD TO INTERCOLLEGIATE!
Autor: Rebeca Domínguez Solano
The time of the year has come when several students are picked to represent our school. We are happy to share our experience in our first Intercollegiate, because yes, they´ve chosen us for going! Starting off, you might want to know what the Intercollegiate is. The Intercollegiate is a competition between all IT Campus. It's held in Mexico City every November (the school’s 1st trimester) and students participate in different academic competitions.

Starting with how students get chosen, all of our teachers, at the beginning of the school trimester, apply us to several tests to see our academic level in all subjects Spanish, Math, English, and such, and also in certain abilities and competencies such as teamwork and tolerance. When they told us we got very excited and couldn’t wait to start working on it.
Every school year there are special topics selected for every grade. The math topic this year for sixth grade is making a board game with equivalent fractions; it will be designed to teach fourth graders. We also have characterizations in English. What we have to do is investigate a certain character, which could be historical or fictional, and then we will have to interpret them with costumes. We will also have dynamic Science and general knowledge. There will be judges that will define who wins first, second, and third place in those competitions, so we must work really hard if we want to be on the podium.
We expect to do a great job there and to proudly represent our school Tepeyac Xcaret. Also, we hope to have a great trip and to always do our best. This is a great experience for all of us, even if we don't win at all, we know we will make new friends and get to see other students also trying their best. We also hope to meet new people and do great things in everything we do.
Well back to the topic, let us start with the experience. It was a typical day, and suddenly Miss Fernanda Cazares told us we would participate in Storytelling.
