ANIMAL SHELTER
This semester we finished with an adoption poster. The teacher shared with us some stories of some dogs that are available for adoption. One of the stories that really touched my heart was Neggo's because a person tried to cut him with a machete. He suffered abuse by some terrible human beings. We also read about other animal stories and we all had one dog to create a poster about and promote adoption.
Here are the steps that we need to follow to create a poster. First we need to put all the information about the animal like how old is he, if is medium and all of that things then the story and all and last the number or info of the adoption place.

I like this activity because we were helping the animals for adoption. But remember adopt not buy.

During this semester we learned about adoption, and animal rescue and also read some stories about dogs that are waiting to be adopted by people and have a lot of love and care from their owners. We read some stories about dogs that were mistreated and abused by their past owners. Here are 2 of them; Darky’s owner died and she was rescued and taken to a shelter, she was very sad and did not want to walk or eat. Chiquitas' owners did not care for her and abandoned her because he was sick with Parvovirus, then her neighbors found him and took her to the vet. She was in the hospital for a week and now he is feeling better and is healthy. She is looking for a new family that will love me. I enjoyed creating the adoption posters so these animals can find a home. We learned how important it is to adopt not buy. Thank you

Hi, my name is Madison, I’m a second grader and this is my experience at the animal shelter. When I walked into the shelter I felt surprised but when Gaby the vet started to explain a little bit, I felt anxious and lucky. Gaby explained that when animals are having trouble breathing the vet puts a tube in their throat to make them breathe. When I was getting on the bus to leave the shelter I felt confused because the teacher told the class that we were going to be there almost the whole school day and I felt like it was early to leave but it turns out there was more fun coming we were going to a ranch to see more animals. I was excited so when I arrived at the ranch I was surprised and kind of scared. Do you know why? Of course, you don’t but I’ll tell you now, so I was scared because there was like 1 or 2 huge dogs, but then I did no longer feel scared because it turns out that those dogs were so polite and definitely not aggressive. I also saw the cutest bunnies ever. Oh, and guess what? You are never going to believe this but they even had a pool for the animals. So now let me tell you a few names of the dogs that I recalled; Lucho, Manchas, Carlie, Roko, and Guero, they gave us a lot of information about the animals. Also the people there were helping and giving us the information and they were really nice. As you can see I had a lot of fun.

Hello, my name is Kade and this is my experience at the animal shelter.
So when I arrived to the animal shelter I was feeling kind of excited and happy, but when I entered the animal shelter, I realized that it was boring, but then I saw a Chihuahua dog I got happy, so I thought that there would be more animals. As Gaby started to talk I did not learn anything because they were speaking Spanish so I could not understand, but my teacher told me that she was saying that a lot of animals that come to shelters are hurt or injured. and that when animals can't breathe they install tubes in their throat. Then we entered another medical area and she started talking about the animals that need surgery, then we went to the ranch and there were a lot of animals so I had a lot of fun at the ranch. I saw bunnies, birds, dogs, and cats! We took pictures and went back to the bus and school. We learned a lot at the animal shelter and we have a lot of fun!
