34th annual festival, held each year during Columbus Day weekend, is a celebration of Italian culture and traditions. Downtown Reno transforms into Little Italy for the weekend, complete with a grape stomp, sauce cookers’ competition, wine walk, an Italian farmers’ market, children’s gelato-eating contest, traditional Italian fare and live entertainment including performances by Ray Massa’s Eurorhythms, Moreno Fruzzetti, Primo Basso, Aaron Caruso and Italy’s Capuano n’T Rock, as
well as the cast from Saltoriya performing acts from their show. Festival gates are open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11, along Third, Fourth and Virginia streets outside of the Eldorado Resort Casino, 345 N.
