For 25 years, he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the Club, showing up every day with unmatched work ethic, loyalty, and pride in what he did. For those of you that may not know who exactly Mr. Ron is, you likely crossed paths with him at some point during an employee lunch as he was the Steward working in the culinary department. He was not only a dependable teammate, but a genuinely good person whose kindness and

CHEF CHUCK VAN HEEST’S CHILI RECIPE INGREDIENTS 1 lb. ground beef 2 diced green peppers 2 cloves minced garlic 1 jalapeno 1 large diced white onion 2 cans diced tomatoes (14oz) 1 can tomato puree (29oz) 1 can tomato paste (small can) 2 cups water

DIRECTIONS

5 T chili powder 3 T cumin 1 T oregano ¼ cup brown sugar Tabasco sauce to taste

1. In a 6qt. Dutch oven, brown ground beef and drain fat.

2. Add to the beef, the onions, garlic, and both peppers. Cook for 2 minutes.

Worcestershire to taste

3. Add spices, tomatoes, puree, and water.

Salt & pepper

4. Simmer chili for 30-40 minutes on low heat.

2 cans kidney beans (14oz)

5. Add brown sugar.

6. Season with salt and pepper.

7. Add Tabasco and Worcestershire and adjust level of heat by adding more hot pepper as desired.

8. Serve with grated cheddar cheese, sour cream, and sliced scallions.

This chili freezes well and always tastes better the next day!

September Employee Lunch LEADERSHIP COOKS FOR SEPTEMBER LUNCHEON For the September luncheon, the Leadership Team rolled up their sleeves and joined Executive Chef Carolyn Torres in the kitchen!

Every day the culinary team takes care of the Talon Tribe by preparing employee meal and each month, the Talon Tribe has a luncheon to promote employee engagement, acknowledge service awards, give updates, and recognize the Tribe Vibe Quarterly Employee. So, with Chef Carolyn's "out-of-the-box thinking" the Leadership Team decided to pick a day to prep and make the entire Tribe their meal. Not only was this a great idea because it encouraged team bonding, but also there was a lot of laughs, many jokes (as shown in the pictures), and memories made... "Yes Pro, Yes Soup."

And, that's what being a Talon Tribe member is all about!

Culinary Dinner at Federal Fritter The Culinary Team bonded over a three-course dinner at Federal Fritter prepared by Executive Chef/Owner Todd Gray. The Culinary Team enjoyed delicious bites, tasty beverages and great conversation to celebrate the end of a busy season before heading into the busy holiday season.

The Gingerbread CLUB House THE HOLIDAY MAGIC OF AN IDEA COMING TO LIFE When Chef Carolyn came up with the innovative idea to make a replica of the Clubhouse as a gingerbread house, her team and others around her immediately thought it was a great idea. Chef Greg and Chef Kelsey got to work making the gingerbread pieces and shortly after Chef Quinn and Chelsee started putting together the Clubhouse. Decorations were added, lights turned on and only a few treats were snacked on in the making. Chef Carolyn said, “The level of detail and dedication they’re putting into this project is incredible. I’d really like to feature Quinn and Kelsey for all their hard work on this ambitious project and Chelsee for helping them decorate. The finished gingerbread house will be proudly displayed in the lobby for everyone to enjoy.” And, enjoy they did! Numerous Members, guests, and Tribe members have stopped to snap a photo or awe at the gingerbread Clubhouse. Way to represent what being a TRIBE member is all about; innovation and TRIBEwork.

Deck The CLUB Halls THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THE MAGIC CHEER! A big THANK YOU to all the Tribe Members that helped make the holidays feel special here at RBCC! From loading in the Clubhouse Lobby tree, to hanging lights and garland, decorating every nook and cranny, hosting multiple events including a Santa Brunch for almost 300 Members, the Club hasn’t felt more festive and inviting.

Door Decorating Contest A door decorating contest took place in December. Tribe members decorated their doors in different themes. Spaska went with a red bow Christmas theme. Bethany featured a winter wonderland and snowball fight against C. And Finance, they gave everyone a laugh with their “make it rein deer.”

However, the top three were as follows: First Place: Mary Veenema with a snow globe that lit up and blew air and snow.

Second Place: Chef Carolyn’s interactive Christmas tree where you can grab and place different objects.

Third Place: Chelsee Miranda featured a classic game, Candyland! Each of the players were gingerbread men/women who had Tribe members faces on them.
