Each year it seems like the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas gets shorter As I sit down to write this letter, we are still finishing up leftovers from our Thanksgiving, yet my wife and I are now in full blown “let’s get ready for Christmas mode.” We decorate, shop, make holiday cards (yes, my wife hand-makes our cards), bake, wrap gifts, and of course, celebrate all throughout the month. I’m sure many of you are preparing for your holiday plans and traditions as well
I would like to thank you for your generosity over the past few weeks with your support of Toys for Tots, the Delaware Food Bank and the 1925 Eagle Foundation’s Turkey Trot. A big shout out to Chef Carolyn and her passion for giving back with the second annual charity food dinner which benefited the Delaware Food Bank this year In addition to the hundreds of cans collected, through the support of RBCC Members at the dinner and silent auction on November 6 approximately $6,000 was donated to the Food Bank
I would like to ask you to be generous one more time this year – and that’s for our Talon Tribe You should have received a notice about RBCC’s Holiday Gift Fund. It’s through the Fund that we can show our appreciation to all the Tribe members who bring their warmth, energy and professionalism to RBCC throughout the year. It is because
of the Tribe that we feel welcomed and at home whenever we are at the Club If you haven’t already done so, please consider a donation to express your gratitude for their service. Click here to donate to the Talon Tribe Holiday Gift Fund.
Over the past few months, you have been hearing about the Club Bylaws being revised and updated. Please take a few minutes to read the section below explaining more about the process we have undertaken

John Caruso Board President
With all the holiday events going on over the next few weeks, I hope you will have a chance to attend some of them. If we don’t connect in person, on behalf of the entire Board, may this joyous season fill your home with love, your heart with hope and our world with peace.
After two years of hard work, careful review, and significant time, energy, and collaboration, we are pleased to share that the Bylaws Revision is in the final stages of completion With guidance from Robyn Stowell, a nationally recognized attorney with extensive experience in the private club, golf, and resort industries, we have undertaken a thorough and thoughtful rewrite to ensure the Bylaws reflect best practices and support the Club’s long-term success. The Club will be sending a communication specific to the Bylaws Revision at the beginning of January and asks that you take a moment to review the communication to understand why the changes are being proposed, how we arrived at them, and what they mean moving forward. Following the communication, the Board and Club Leadership will be available to answer any questions, comments or concerns you may have prior to the January Board meeting when the Board will vote on the revised and amended Bylaws.

As we enter the most festive season of the year, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your ongoing support of RBCC Your generosity especially toward the Talon Tribe Holiday Gift Fund allows us to celebrate the exceptional team members who go above and beyond to create the memorable experiences our Club is known for giving. Their dedication shines brightest during busy times, and your kindness ensures they feel truly appreciated.
November was a remarkable month at RBCC. From a stunning gala of 360 guests to an intimate Chef’s Table dinner for six where Chef Carolyn continues to dazzle your enthusiastic participation made every event a success. And now, as we turn the calendar page, December promises to be even more magical.
This month brings a full slate of holiday traditions (old and new): Brunch with Santa, Wreath Decorating, our Tree Lighting celebration, the Centennial Brunch, Gingerbread House Decorating, festive dinner nights, Golf Shop sales, Fireside Dining on the weekends, New Year’s Eve festivities, and so much more all featured in this month’s newsletter We look forward to sharing these moments with you
You may have already enjoyed one of our newly upgraded golf carts, which have been met with glowing feedback. And if you’ve ventured out on the course, you’ve likely noticed the large staging of pipes These will be installed this winter to link the ponds on holes 10, 11, and 12 an important step in our broader drainage plan The Club’s golf course architect and engineering partners have made tremendous progress toward long-term solutions that will protect and enhance our most beloved asset.
Behind the scenes, next year’s budget is taking shape with thoughtful consideration of your survey feedback. We are also advancing architectural plans to expand and elevate our outdoor dining spaces In addition, we are moving closer to partnering with GGA (Global Golf Advisors) to update our Strategic Plan and begin shaping a comprehensive Master Facilities Plan a much-needed framework for RBCC’s future.
While it may feel like our seasonal team just departed, preparations for 2026 are already underway We are interviewing H2B candidates, planning housing and transportation logistics, and doing everything possible to ensure another exceptional season ahead. At the same time, our search for the next Racquets Director has entered its final stages with several impressive candidates still in the running more news to come soon.
December’s Coffee with C will be a special Talon Tribe edition, and we look forward to returning with Member sessions in the new year. In the meantime, you can stay connected with us each week through Eagle Tracks, podcast episodes, website updates, and of course, conversations in person we always welcome our Members' visits
As we close out this year, please accept our warmest wishes to you and your families. Thank you for being part of this extraordinary community. Your support, involvement, and spirit make RBCC the place we are so proud to call home.
Happy Holidays from all of us at RBCC.
"I heard the bells on Christmas Day Their old, familiar carols play, And wild and sweet the words repeat Of peace on earth, good-will to men!"

Château Tertre de Courban, Bordeaux Blanc 2024
A beautifully balanced expression of Bordeaux’s classic white varietals, this vintage is crafted from 65% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Sémillon, and 15% Muscadelle The wine opens with bright aromas of citrus blossom, white peach, and a hint of honeysuckle. On the palate, vibrant Sauvignon Blanc brings freshness and lift, while Sémillon adds a gentle roundness and depth. The touch of Muscadelle lends an elegant floral note and a soft, lingering finish. Crisp yet textured, this is an ideal white to enjoy during the holidays
Poggio del Concone Rosso, Tuscany 2021

This bold and expressive Super Tuscan, a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sangiovese, is bursting with ripe blackberry, plum, and notes of warm spice and cocoa. Fullbodied and velvety, it delivers rich fruit and a long, satisfying finish. A perfect red to enjoy during the cold winter months.

If you’ve dined in the 1925 Dining Room over the past month, you may have noticed two new touches to enhance your experience: an amuse-bouche, a small tasting from our chefs to begin your meal, and a mignardise, a sweet bite from our pastry team to finish These additions will now be part of our dining standard to bring even more delight to your visit.

We have also launched Fireside Dining on Friday and Saturday evenings in the Men’s Grill It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cozy night with friends and family as the weather cools.
For the Eagles Nest, we’re introducing a new rotating limited appetizer menu beginning this month Called Eagles Nest Exclusives, it will feature four to five shareable appetizers that change regularly. Whether you’re finishing a round of golf or simply relaxing with friends, this new menu is ideal for a light bite.
As we continue to evolve our menus, keep an eye on the Club’s Instagram page, where we’ll be highlighting new dishes and seasonal features. You can also look for the small eagle symbol on the menu, which indicates items that have been updated. Currently, the team is refreshing about 25% of the menu each month. Of course, beloved favorites like the Chicken Piccata and the Shrimp & Crab Cocktail will remain, but the team is excited to bring new, creative dishes to the table throughout the off-season

We are fortunate to have a kitchen full of passionate, hardworking chefs dedicated to making your dining experience exceptional Thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out
