The branding we have achieved throughout these years is a sign of our achievement and we will continue to build on it as our commitment towards quality and excellence in services to all stakeholders for the MATTA Fairs. Through our partnership with the various sectors, private and public, we hope to achieve another new milestone in MATTA Fair. Let us carry on in this daylight of hope and renewal, as we strengthen our brand name and services, and sustain our distinction in the travel www.escapeonline.my exposition in the country and regionally. The travel and tourism industry has long been one the most important pillars and contributors to the economic growth of the country. The dynamism of our tourism industry fuels our collective aspirations of progress, economic wellbeing and competitive edge in the travel and tourism industry. This year is the Visit Malaysia Year. Malaysia is blessed with so many exotic and interesting places, hence promoting Malaysian hospitality to sophisticated markets and emerging markets are our common vision and task. We should also promote Malaysia through MATTA Fair as it is the largest travel fair and to bring the Travel Fair to a new and matured level.

Inside!
I would like to welcome all exhibitors, business partners, sponsors, supporters and visitors of the MATTA Fair March 2014 - The longest running, largest and most successful Consumer Travel Fair in Malaysia.
May this Travel Fair further advance the travel and tourism industry by providing industry players to establish closer ties with the consumers.
Hong Kong
My heartiest congratulations to the MATTA Fair Organizing Committee and the MATTA Secretariat for their continuous good work in putting together this Travel Fair. Have a great time at the MATTA Fair. Warm regards,
There is no doubt that the MATTA Fair March 2014 is now firmly entrenched as a premier consumer travel fair in Malaysia. In fact, the Malaysia Book of Records affirms that the MATTA Fair is recognised as the Largest Consumer Travel Fair in the country. Welcome Message We have 1,058 exhibitor booths and 14 National JUDYOrganisations CHEAH, (NTOs) participating in this year’s Tourism fair with itsOrganising theme tagged as It’s All About Quality, Not Chairman, Quantity. Here, I like to stress on the QUALITY aspect of ® Committee, MATTA Fair the MATTA Fair March 2014.
March 2014
With the spectre of rising costs of goods in general this year, we do realise that consumers may place less priority on travel expenses. But this has spurred the MATTA Fair’s Organising Committee to focus more than ever on making available quality products at affordable prices for the visitors.
MCI (P) 109/01/2014
This is being reflected through interesting and value-for-money tour and travel packages which are endorsed by the NTOs; and more added values from great prizes to be given away in the various contests we have lined up for the fair. This is made possible through the joint efforts of all our sponsors - the NTOs, airlines, hoteliers and other tourism suppliers who have come out in full support in forging a strong partnership with the exhibitors. Further, our exhibitors are ready to provide the consumers on how to shop wisely and understand what they are buying. This will greatly enhance the quality of the consumers’ holiday experiences and ensure that their money are well-spent. In addition, we will station about 200 staff to man the halls to ensure visitors have a hassle-free shopping spree. The Organising Committee would like to record its appreciation to all the sponsors and partners for their great support in making this MATTA Fair March 2014 a Quality Fair for all. Through this partnership, the MATTA Fair which debuted in 1991 has grown into a “must-visit” event now being held for the 37th time. In a way, I have grown with the fair - I was the fair’s chairman for 1999, 2000 and 2001 (then known as the MITF). That coincided with the years when I was the Deputy President of MATTA (1999 to 2003). Now as the first-elected Chairman of the newly-formed MATTA Kuala Lumpur Chapter, and taking over the “reins” of the MATTA Fair March 2014 chairmanship again this year, I am glad to see how the MATTA Fair has evolved over the years. Those were the days when we had to plead with exhibitors to participate; now we have exhibitors knocking on our doors. My committee and I are confident that with the enthusiastic interest and support from all our partners, exhibitors and consumers, the MATTA Fair March 2014 will again be a Success.
HAMZAH RAHMAT
Have a Quality Time at MATTA Fair March 2014! Thank you.
