Regina Noakes
Regina Noakes has had a highly successful art career painting women, children and still life. Noakes is an internationally renowned, award-winning Australian artist who has travelled, studied and exhibited all over the world. Her paintings reside in several private (including Eric Clapton!), corporate (Toyota Australia) and public collections around the world (Fulham Palace, UK). She works with oils and acrylics and her established reputation precedes her.
For Regina, her artwork serves as a visual description of a collection of all her personal experiences, observations, and also memories.
I try to describe, in visual terms, personal experiences, observations, and also memories. The people depicted in my paintings are never a true likeness. The paintings are not about what I have seen but about how I feel about what I have seen.
