Our trip to Hamtramck is exceptionally special today. First we will be greeted by Greg, our tour guide from the Hamtramck Historical Society. We will begin with a visit to the Polish Arts Center, followed by stops at Srodeks Deli and the New Palace Bakery where you can buy anything you need for the Easter holiday. Next enjoy a delicious lunch at the Village Café. After lunch Greg will take us on a (bus) tour of Hamtramck and provide interesting information about the area! Lunch & shopping are on your own. $-$$

Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena is our first stop today for a guided tour of this state of the art facility. After the tour we will walk across the street for a guided tour of the beautiful iconic Fox Theater. To complete our day we will visit the UWM District Market where there are several choices to have lunch. Both tours are included in your trip. Lunch is on your own. $$

Lunch at the Royal Treat Tea Room is a delightful experience! This whimsical restaurant is like something out of a storybook. As soon as you walk in the door you will notice the antique furniture, white linens, fine china place settings and real silver flatware. Each guest will get 3 scones to enjoy at lunch or take home for a midnight snack. Our lunch for today is a set menu with your choice of 8 different quiche, mixed greens topped with strawberries, blueberries, cucumbers, tomatoes and sugar-toasted nuts with lemon-herb vinaigrette or fresh fruit. Tea or coffee is also offered. Lunch, tax and gratuity is included in your trip cost. No menu substitutions.

Brunch & Learn Series Michigan DNR (Detroit)

Today’s topic is Marvelous Michigan Geology. What natural processes gave our state its shape and abundant natural resources? Find out more about the fascinating geology of the Great Lakes State and enjoy a virtual tour of some of its most breathtaking and interesting sites. Then we’ll rock through some activities and have fun with fossils! Pastries, coffee or tea is served during this presentation. After a morning of learning and fun, it’s time for a delicious lunch. We will travel to Andrews on the Corner. This great restaurant is known for its home-cooked meals. You will have the following options to choose from:

Fish & Coleslaw; meatloaf dinner; chicken sandwich with mushrooms and Swiss cheese; Greek salad with chicken; jumbo fish sandwich; 1/2 pound hamburger. All meals come with coffee, tea or soda and a brownie with ice cream for dessert. Menu is subject to change and there are no menu substitutions allowed. Everything is included in your trip cost today.

Trip payment methods are as follows: Paying by check - exact amount of trip. Paying for multiple trips by check - a separate check for EACH trip. Paying by cash - exact amount of trip; nothing larger than a twenty dollar bill.

PLEASE NOTE: There is no reserved bus seating. Seats are first come-first serve. Any special request will be at the discretion of the escort and based on availability. Also note: all travelers MUST remain with the group at all times. The exception to this is free-time within the trip as announced by the escort.

This is a reminder that the time schedule for trips are leaving times and not boarding times. Please be there at least 15 minutes prior to leaving. We WILL NOT be calling you to see where you are. If you are late, we will be forced to leave you behind. We are on a tight schedule and each stop on the trip is scheduled at a particular time with the businesses. There will not be any refund because we have paid for the number of people that signed up for the trip.
