2 Pre-K Prom Dress your little one in their favorite outfit to dance the morning away! Show off your best moves on the dance floor, play games, win prizes, and visit our play area! 2 Fishing Derby's Catch some fish, and win some prizes!! Prizes will be given for the most fish caught and the biggest fish caught for each age group. Participants will need to provide their own rod, bait and tackle. This will be a rain or shine event! All participants in the adult derby must have a valid fishing license. 9 Bark in the Park Your dog can run free in our off-leash areas, test his or her skills, and make new friends. There will be great opportunities for families to adopt a dog, learn different training techniques, sample dog related products, and visit exhibit booths. 1-2 Threshing Days Hosted by The Frederick County Farm Museum Association and Maryland International Harvester Club Chapter #39. Come enjoy threshing and baling demonstrations, a pedal pull, tractor displays, and concessions. Rose Hill Manor Park 9am-3pm | FREE
14 Market Street Big Band Concert The doors will open at 6:30 pm. Get a chance to get your photo with veterans and military vehicles during a photo op! The Market Street Big Band will take the stage from 7-9pm, and there will also be a swing dance demonstration from 7-8pm. Concessions will be available from the Rose Hill Museum Council. 15-16 World War II Weekend - Celebrating 75 Years of Victory Learn about life during the World War II Era through our museum exhibits and through visiting with our reenactors as well as WWII veterans. On Saturday enjoy an antique car show hosted by the FSK car club and explore the Carriage Museum to view the earliest means of transportation utilized by our Ancestors; On Sunday experience a live period radio show. 15 Mighty Tikes Triathlon Your child will have a blast running their very own “triathlon”! Kids will start off pedaling their way through the bike course, then transition to the running portion and concluding with a “swim” (a dash through a water obstacle course!), as they head to the finish line to receive their medal.
