Our Board meets monthly. We work together on various events and projects, making a meaningful impact within the organization and the community we serve.
Volunteering as a tutor is a powerful way to make a lasting impact. We provide comprehensive training, materials and ongoing support to ensure your and your student’s success.
Most tutors dedicate just 4 to 5 hours per week, and we ask for a commitment of ten months.
We will place you with a small group or with an individual student.

We’re passionate about our work, and we’d love your help in spreading the word! Introduce us to your friends and colleagues or invite us to speak at civic groups. By sharing our mission and telling people what we do, we raise awareness about adult literacy and Ethos.
Are you looking for a short-term project? Be a reader/judge for our signature event: Short Short Story Contest. Writers from around the country and abroad submit 100-word stories. We provide training. February and March.
