Christmas at my Grandparent’s House

have so many Christmas memories from my childhood. But one specific memory that stuck in my head was when my uncles and cousins decided to go to Juarez, Chihuahua (where my grandparents lived) in December 1990 to spend Christmas with my grandparents and the rest of the family. I remember my mom saying when we were in my town that we would go to Juarez to meet all my uncles from Albuquerque USA to spend Christmas together. I was so excited to start Christmas break when I got out of school. We began to pack all our stuff in the next few days and then our trip day finally arrived.

In December 1990, my parents and I took the train to travel to Juarez. It took us eight hours to get to Juarez from my town but I really enjoyed all the beautiful views that only people who ride the train get to see. When we finally arrived in Juarez I remember my Grandpa went to the train station to pick us up.

I was so happy to see my Grandpa. After we said hello, we went straight to his house to see the rest of the family. All my uncles and cousins were already there from Albuquerque. After we said hello, we all had dinner together.

Then the next day, my cousins and I helped prep all the stuff that Grandma would make for Christmas Eve. The first thing Grandma made was dough to make cookies, we all helped bake them. Then, came the fun part for me and my cousins. We got to decorate all the cookies!

The next day was Christmas Eve, my Grandma and my mom made tamales, red chile enchiladas, and sopaipillas. We all sat down for dinner and chit-chatted. Then all my cousins and I went to play for a while before going to bed.

The next day we were so happy to open our presents. Grandma made us the best hot cocoa ever. Sadly, the next day, it was time for my parents and I to go back to my town. We had to say goodbye to my grandparents and all my family.

The Sky

I love the sky.

The clouds always know how to pull me away, any and everytime theres an issue or stress, one look, and it floats away. The rain always calms my mind, relaxing every cell, allowing me to breath, always washing away every fear.

The sun always warms my soul, from toes to strands of hair, welcomed in rays of gold.

The moon, always is there, to comfort and lean on, when every person is gone.

I love the sky.

We really enjoyed this trip. I would like to have another experience like that in a short time. Traveling is a good way to increase our knowledge and experiences.

mother’s love is from a mother who cares for her children throughout their childhood years. Such a mother cares for her children when times are good and when they are bad. A mother comforts them and makes sure they are safe and happy. A mother seems to know what every child needs. A mother gives as much to her children every day as she can.

A mother’s love is understanding what each child needs. A mother loves her children just the way they are from the beginning. A mother’s love gives a child much more than words could ever explain.

Lego Sets

ver since I was a kid, I enjoyed working with Legos. Every year, I enjoy hearing about the new sets that are coming! I normally stick with buying the medium to large sets, but I could never afford the massive Ultimate Collector Series sets. I enjoy them because it’s my comfort and escape from everyday stress.

Discord: A Place of Friendship

ike most teenagers, I joined Discord when I was 17 years old to talk and call people I met on other sites. Since then, 7 years later, I use the site daily and I’ve made a legion of close pals from across the whole country and even outside of the US. It’s had a lot of ups and downs, but it’s a place I wouldn’t trade for the world, since I’ve become so close with the people I’ve met there. I even talk to the people I meet there way more than I do my in person friends.

Cuidad No Sueno

No sleep, nothing, nothing for the world. It is one more distant death for the cemetery

So that it hurts for three years, Because it has a landscape dry in the knees. And the boy that they buried in the morning, They cried over him, so that what was necessary Was to call the dogs to silence them. Second stanza from Federico Garcia Lorca's "Ciudad No Sueno", translated from Spanish

The River Light

he river lights is very popular holiday in Albuquerque. So, our family booked the ticket for it and went to bio garden park to see the lights at night. This year, they added more fancy lights, such as a flying flamingo, jumping monkey and small trains. My kids were so excited to see them. The weather was also very good at night. However, for me, I love the sunflower best. It means hopeful will in life. I also informed my English teacher’s daughter about it. Their family also went there and had a great family time. I wish there will be something amazing there next year.

The Gift

he Almighty God gave us his only begotten son. As the first gift to us. To the whole world. To you and me. That’s why I give to my husband a present for Christmas. I give my husband a coffee cup and a pack of pant. There’s so much love to us that we can give love to someone today. I gave a present to my daughter and to my son. I was able to give them a gift card to each of them from Chick-fil-A. I even gave my mom and my sister presents too. I gave my mom hair ties and hair pins for her hair. And to my sister I gave her hairties that were nice and colorful just for her to wear. That’s what the Almighty God gave us was a gift of love by giving us the only begotten son, the Lord Jesus.
