PARTNERSHIP CATALOG

New Mexico ranks 50th in literacy. Our low literacy rate affects everything: the economy, health, family stability, children’s educational success. We tackle the problem one reader, one worker, one parent, one grandparent at a time.

Ethos Literacy has provided free tutoring to adults since 2009. The Library of Congress named us a Best Practices in Literacy Honoree. We received an Innovation Prize from the National Literacy Directory for our New Words Writing and Newspaper Project.

We believe that meaningful change begins with community engagement, and we are inviting you to be a Community Partner. Partnership goes beyond a donation. It is an opportunity for you and your employees to use your unique skills and passion to help us directly empower individuals through literacy. Together, we can create lasting change and uplift our entire community.

I had to take a test online to be a volunteer at my church. I scored an 88%. I would not have been able to pass this before I started coming to tutoring lessons.

Flora – Literacy 2nd Year

Since I have been in Ethos Literacy, it has given me the confidence to pursue a different career path and has given me more confidence in myself. I see myself reading a lot more books next year and going for a higher position in my work that I probably would never have explored if I didn’t get the boost of confidence and support.

Jason – Literacy 2nd Year

I started tutoring to learn math for a test I would take to succeed in getting my diploma, so far I’ve learned more than any of the years I was in school thanks to my tutor.

Ameres – Math 1st Year

I remember before I started attending Advanced class, I had the fear of communicating well with people especially facing the crowd. I know with this Advanced Class, I am now able to communicate little by little with people without fear of their feedback.

Panels of 3 readers score 4 stories. January to March.

Introduce us to your colleagues and civic clubs. We love what we do and we love to talk about it.

Grant Writer Marketing

At Ethos, a committee works year-round on grants. Help us research, write and review grant applications.
