Although there are no prescribed rites for inducting new members in any Rotary club, it is important that becoming a Rotarian be marked with some formality. It is suggested that the Rotary sponsor and his/her family members attend, as it is important to have the family support.

Rotarian’s Words of Wisdom Invocation at Meetings
ABC’s of Rotary
In many Rotary clubs, it is customary to open weekly meetings with an appropriate invocation or blessing. Usually, such invocations are offered without reference to specific religious denominations or faiths. Rotary policy recognizes that throughout the world Rotarians represent many religious beliefs, ideas, and creeds. The religious beliefs of each member are fully respected, and nothing in Rotary is intended to prevent each person from being faithful to such convictions. At international assemblies and conventions, it is traditional for a silent invocation to be given. In respect for all religious beliefs and in the spirit of tolerance for a wide variety of personal faiths, all persons are invited to seek divine guidance and peace in their own way. It is an inspiring experience to join with thousands of Rotarians in an international “silent prayer” or act of personal devotion. Usually, all Rotary International Board and committee meetings begin with a few moments of silent meditation. In this period of silence, Rotary demonstrates respect for the beliefs of all members, who represent the religions of the world. Since each Rotary club is autonomous, the practice of presenting a prayer or invocation at club meetings is left entirely to the traditions and customs of the individual club, with the understanding that these meeting rituals always be conducted in a manner that will respect the religious convictions and faiths of all members and are non denominational in nature.
2022
The Governor’s Visit is a must event for the incumbent Rotary District Governor in order to have at least one (1) visitation to all the encompassing clubs of his/her district in any Rotary year. As annually done, most Rotary clubs nowadays do it in consonance of their respective handover ceremony and club induction of the new set of officers, service directors and committee chairpersons, as well as for new prospective club members.

Club Attendance to RCC Caravan
Rotary Community Corps (RCC) is a group of non Rotarians who share our commitment to changing the world through service projects. RCC members plan and carry out projects in their communities and support local Rotary club projects. Sponsored by a Rotary club, an RCC leverages Rotary’s network, brand, and mentorship by partnering with clubs to plan and implement service projects. RCCs increase Rotary’s impact and expand its reach by bringing the knowledge and talents of local people to strengthen their community through sustainable projects.

MONTHLY MESSAGE
We’ve all taken our own path to become a member of Rotary. Some of you joined because your father was a Rotarian. Some of us signed up because an employer tapped us on the shoulder and asked us to attend a meeting. Others became members only after a U.S. Supreme Court ruling made it possible. Yet each of us entered through one mechanism — an invitation.
An invitation that unlocks our imaginations and allows us to know that everything and anything is possible. Each one of us has that same opportunity the honor to extend an invitation.
It is awe inspiring to imagine how we can look out across our communities and identify our future leaders. It’s often tempting to attract people who are exactly like us. It’s a special form of ingenuity to consider how people who are seemingly very different can, in fact, share our values and have some of those same talents, just waiting to be unleashed.
It’s time for Rotary to take our next step in advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) across our organization.
Embracing an experience where people feel included is more than just making our membership numbers more diverse. It’s about making our meetings and events places where we can speak openly and honestly with each other, where our members feel welcome and safe. This means removing barriers for entry and opening doors for inclusion. Our values remain our strength and our commitment to excellence requires us to maintain high standards for our members as well.
I believe we are all committed and determined to advancing DEI across Rotary. This is rooted in the deepest traditions of our organization, and it will ensure that we remain vibrant and relevant for decades to come.
A few years ago, our Rotary Board set the ambitious goal of increasing the share of female members to 30 percent by 2023. We have less than a year to go, but I believe we can meet and exceed this target.
We need Rotary leaders to rise from every continent, culture, and creed. We need young members and young thinkers to take on larger roles and responsibilities. We need to listen to new Rotary members just as keenly, and with as much respect, as those with many years of membership.
During our recent convention in Houston, we heard from astronauts about their journeys into space. We reflected upon a time in the 1960s when U.S. President John F. Kennedy urged the world to dream, with his declaration that we would “go to the moon [and do] other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.”
Fully committing Rotary to DEI and meeting our ambitious membership targets may seem as unlikely as a moon shot. But I know that when people of action are committed to a big goal, we make it worth every ounce of our energy.

The “youth service orgs ” of Rotary Club of Batangas; the RotaKids of Batangas (2018), the Interact Club of Batangas (2020), and the Rotaract Club of Batangas (2009); were organized in order to promote social change by providing opportunities for youth to share their time and talent in improving their communities. These groups provide opportunities for youth to learn about “philanthropy as a tool for creating social change” . They also help develop the pipeline of future philanthropists by encouraging the habits of giving. As youth engages in service and become more civic minded, Rotary clubs are working to develop the next generation of passionate, informed, and inspired community leaders.
