PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE MONTH

Dear Readers,
Sandra Ixito
PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE MONTH
Dear Readers,
Welcome to this radiant issue—a celebration of creativity in all its brilliant forms. Fashion has always been a mirror of self-expression, storytelling, and transformation, and this edition is no exception. It’s a kaleidoscope of bold visuals, inspired individuals, and emerging trends that are rewriting the rules of style.
We begin with a stunning showcase of Prismatic Fashion, where AIM Agency Models light up the pages with vibrant hues, daring silhouettes, and unapologetic attitude. Then we dive into the deep with our Aquatic Fashion spread— dreamlike editorials by our Model Readers, capturing the fluidity, shimmer, and mystique of water through wearable art. From there, we find grounding in movement with our Athleisure Fashion story, also styled and modeled by the dynamic talents of AIM Agency. It’s fashion built for momentum—beautiful, versatile, and real.
This month, we launch an exciting new Styling Challenge for our Readers: WILD LIFE FURS. Think texture, edge, and sustainable statements. Interpret it your way—real or faux, natural or neon—and show us how you bring the wild to life.
Our Blogger of the Month, Ponkan Candyclaws And don’t miss our exclusive feature on Photographer of the Month, Sandra Ixito. Let’s keep creating, keep sharing, and keep dressing like we mean it.

AIM AGENCY PRESENTS ATHLEISURE TREND
by BonieFacio
In the vibrant world of Second Life, I began my journey as a blogger driven by admiration and inspiration. What started as a casual fascination with beautifully styled avatars and compelling photos on Flickr evolved into a personal mission, to capture and showcase the creative brilliance of SPONSOR brands. With a background in digital illustration and a self-taught passion for virtual photography, I’ve learned through trial, error, and continuous growth. Each photo shoot is a new opportunity to learn, express, and connect, and it’s this process that fuels my motivation and creativity.
Over the years, I’ve faced challenges, from falling into routines to battling impatience, but it was through these struggles that I discovered the importance of mindset, humility, and support. My partner, a fellow blogger and my greatest inspiration, helped me rediscover joy and purpose in my work. Together, we’ve taken on bold projects like NEOJAPAN, expanding our skills and deepening our passion. Now, as I explore production and 3D creation through Blender, I remain excited by Second Life’s endless possibilities and committed to sharing its beauty—one meaningful image at a time.

Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?
“I am one of the users in Second Life who is a blogger. On my blog, I mainly showcase the work of SPONSOR, as well as photos I take in my daily life. I try to showcase the work produced by our fascinating sponsors and try to get it into the hands of people. I am learning every day to take photos that catch the eye as much as possible.”
Describe how did you first get into blogging?
“I will never forget how I started blogging. I had just started in Second Life when a friend recommended me to browse flicker. I was fascinated by the lovely and beautiful avatar models I saw and I wanted to take wonderful pictures like them. I would like to take wonderful pictures like them and introduce wonderful products like the models. I sincerely wanted to do so. Then I got a flicker account and started to imitate the models.”
Can you tell me some of your strengths that really helped you in blogging?
One of my key strengths is the ability to highlight a product’s unique features in a natural and visually appealing way. I focus on enhancing the product without relying too heavily on editing, which helps maintain authenticity and keeps the spotlight where it belongs.
What was your greatest failure and what did you learn from that?
My biggest mistake was letting ego and impatience take over. After two years of blogging, I fell into a routine, and when my posts began getting fewer faves, I panicked—changing avatars and editing styles without direction. That restlessness showed in my work and only made things worse. What helped me recover was the support of my partner, who noticed my struggle, taught me new techniques, and encouraged me to take on fresh challenges.
Thanks to her, I grew past that difficult phase, and through experiences like blogging for NEOJAPAN, I learned what kind of mindset and care my photos truly need.
Second Life is a big place, do you have any other interests besides blogging?
“My current strong interest is in production. SPONSOR...in other words, I would like to create the same great works of art that creators produce. Currently, I am trying my hand at blender and posting some of my own work.
Second Life has unlimited possibilities, so I would like to challenge and enjoy myself as much as possible, not only in creation, but also in anything I can enjoy. Second Life is really wonderful.”
Why did you start blogging? Describe your writing process, from concept to publishing. How do you stay motivated?
“I believe that maintaining motivation is the most important aspect of blogging. I respect the work of the SPONSORs, of course, but I also take each photo with an awareness that I am carrying the signboard on my back. I also believe that the most important thing is to enjoy myself above all else. If you do not enjoy yourself, you will not be able to create a good work.
For me, loving the work and having fun while shooting it are the ways to maintain my motivation.”
How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?
“I guess what motivates me to keep updating my blog is my interest in new works.
Looking at photos taken by other people, such as what the latest fashions are like, what kind of models are in the photo shoots, etc., also helps to keep my motivation up. I am also encouraged by comments from friends and people who have viewed my blog.”
The fashion industry has a lot of bloggers, how do you get in contact or how do you pick the designers to blog for?
“I had seen the openings on X and blogotex and applied. I also make sure to check flicker, X, and blogotex for blogger openings within blogotex at that time of year, as there are often numerous branded blogger openings in the spring and fall.”
We bloggers know that Blogging is really time consuming and a lot of work. How do you deal with organizing your posts?
Blogging takes a lot of time and planning, so I try to stay as organized as possible. I usually prepare 3–4 posts over the weekend since my weekdays are busy. I keep a notebook with ideas and themes, and I often shoot multiple photos in one session to post throughout the week. I also use a consistent writing template to keep things clear and avoid confusion. Staying ahead helps me enjoy the process without feeling rushed.
How would you describe your personal style and is there a person who is a fashion inspiration to you?
“For me the inspirational person is also all the other bloggers. However, of all of them, it is still my partner who is the most influential to me. Her work is always vibrant, eye-catching, truly beautiful and fun. I admire her and I always want to produce work that I am not ashamed to be her partner.”
Can you tell me about few sources from where you get products for review on your site?
“I mainly dl and introduce products from blogotex. For brands that do not use blogotex, the work comes to me from a group of bloggers within IW.”
How do you attract new readers? Describe the methods you’ve used and their impact on site traffic? What do you think is the best social media strategy for getting more visitors to a blog?
“I think the first step in gaining readership is to increase the number of mutual followings. Also, we should try to keep our eyes on our blog by updating it frequently.
I think it is also important to show your appreciation for works that you think are great. It would also be effective to promote your work through multiple social media outlets, such as X.”
How active are you on a weekly basis? How often do you communicate with your followers?
“At the most, we introduce about two works per week, and at the least, one work every two weeks. The more SPONSORs we have, the more frequent our activities become.
As for interaction with readers, we check in by going to check the blogs of people who commented on our articles when we posted them.”
What would you like to achieve in the future? Any Dreams?
“Yes, I would like to participate again as a blogger in NEOJAPAN, which was one of my goals, and I would also like to be a blogger for Fantasy Fair someday. I really like taking pictures, so I want to continue to challenge myself, hone my skills, and try my best to have people see my wonderful work.”

In the vast digital universe of Second Life (SL), fashion is more than just wardrobe, it’s identity, artistry, and community. Far from being a casual pastime, SL fashion has evolved into a dynamic industry that mirrors, and often rivals, real-world couture in creativity and sophistication. From dazzling runway shows to model academies and glossy digital magazines, the SL fashion world is a universe where virtual glamour reigns supreme. Digital Catwalks and Creative Couture Fashion in Second Life thrives on imagination. With no physical limitations, designers can create looks that range from avant-garde to timeless elegance. The diversity is staggering, cyberpunk outfits, fairy wings, haute couture gowns, sleek urbanwear, and fantasy armor are just a teleport away.
Major events provide stages where top designers unveil their collections. These are no simple exhibitions: they’re immersive productions complete with choreography, lighting, and custom animations that bring the runway to life. Becoming a model in SL requires more than just a stylish avatar. Professionalism, pose mastery, styling knowledge, and camera awareness are all crucial. Model academies train aspiring models in everything from HUD usage to runway etiquette and portfolio development, helping them transform from novices to virtual stars. Fashion magazines in Second Life provide essential coverage of trends, personalities, and events. These magazines are community-driven, giving voice to models, photographers, and stylists alike. Collaboration and Community SL fashion thrives on collaboration. Designers, models, bloggers, stylists, and photographers work together to produce captivating visual content and events. Modeling agencies coordinate not just shows, but also photo shoots, magazine partnerships, and mentorship programs.
This shared passion creates a tight-knit, supportive environment where avatars can express themselves and build meaningful connections. Where Fantasy Becomes Reality In Second Life, fashion becomes a language of identity and expression. It’s about pushing creative boundaries, telling personal stories, and participating in a thriving cultural scene. Whether you’re attending a live runway show, designing your first outfit, or reading the latest issue of a fashion magazine, you’re part of something vibrant and ever-evolving.
So whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned avatar, step into the spotlight. In Second Life, the runway is wide open, and the glamor is limitless.

Could you share some details about yourself, including your interests beyond photography? Additionally, could you let us know your background and the specific areas of photography that you concentrate on?
There’s not much that sets me apart from other SL photographers. My avatar was born in 2007, and at first, I didn’t quite know what SL was about. Even now, I don’t see it as a game, but as an extension of myself—a place where I try to express the real me, though we all keep a few things hidden. laughs
After a second attempt to figure things out, I ran a VTM-RP group for a few years, until it eventually fell apart. That’s when my clubbing phase began—much like real life, just with IMs instead of whispers in dark corners. When the drama got too much, I moved on and found photography.
Photography slowly took over and became a core part of my SL—and my real life. It’s my main reason for still being here. My photos are emotional expressions, inspired by personal moments, music, or quotes—a visual form of storytelling straight from the heart.
Have you undergone any formal training in graphic design, or do you have a background in it? Additionally, what sparked your initial interest in delving into photography within Second Life, and which aspects of virtual photography do you discover to be the most captivating or challenging? I actually got into photography in Second Life more or less by chance. I was looking for a quieter way to stay engaged—something that allowed me to observe rather than participate too actively. I’m naturally more of an observer, and around 2012, I started taking casual snapshots. I recently stumbled across some of those early photos, and it felt a lot like flipping through an old real-life photo album, nostalgic and a bit cringeworthy,
but endearing. It was a different time then— people were a little more naive, in a good way. Though someone recently told me I’m still a bit naive… maybe that’s just who I am. winks
As for training, no—I don’t have a background in graphic design. But I honestly don’t think it’s necessary. There’s so much user-friendly software out there that anyone can start creating beautiful images. I keep things pretty basic and rely more on emotion and atmosphere than heavy editing.
One thing I’m not a fan of is overusing AI to “enhance” SL photos. To me, it feels a bit like wearing someone else’s feathers—it takes away the authenticity. I believe in keeping it real, even in a virtual world.
What 3 words describe your personal photography style?
Melancholic, Dark, Emotional
I’m sure many of our readers will be intrigued to hear how you actually make your pictures regarding windlight, size of the pictures, pixels. Do you have a favorite that you always turn to? And what do you think makes the best angle to take a picture?
My pictures just happen. I don’t have a fixed setting that I use. I reduce, I enlarge. but mainly I create black & white images. Colored images were never really suitable for me. I tried for a long time, but the desire to gain a foothold in BW photography became stronger and stronger and eventually took over. I’m also very picky when it comes to choosing my pictures... sometimes I take up to 30 snaps or more of one shot and then afterward I either can’t decide which one to take or I still have something to complain about and decide on none or just one. haha yes.. I already said that I’m picky. yes, that is really the case. That’s why people who take a photo with me
really need patience. Because I fight my way through countless windlights and angles... I also just enjoy the process. I really enjoy it and it has positive energy.
Is there a specific photograph you’ve taken that holds a special place in your heart? If so, could you share the link and tell us what makes that particular image stand out to you?
So you don’t actually need to say much about it. It speaks for itself, and I want to keep what it means to me all to myself.
Lastly, could you provide insight into the projects currently occupying your creative focus? Are there particular areas you wish to explore in the future? Additionally, do you have any aspirations or dreams within your photography journey, and do you believe you’re making progress toward achieving them? I don’t really have anything else planned or planned for my future. I just want to continue it as it comes or develops. There would be a big ‘maybe’ in terms of being more active in creating collaborative images again, as I’m already very rusty in that regard. However, it would only be an option because by my nature I prefer to puzzle alone and then visualize what I have in my head.
Is there something else you would like to say to our readers?
I’m not really good with closing remarks, or with this type of questioning in general. I just want to say that we should all think more often about what our words and actions are doing to those around us. Because like I said, SL isn’t really a game. Nevertheless... I wish everyone a nice and positive time in our SL.
