Super Bowl Spending in Nevada Expected to Reach

Record $182.6 Million National Spending Levels and Viewership Projected to Hit All-Time Highs

The Kansas City Chiefs head to Super Bowl LIX looking for a historic three-peat in a rematchagainst the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans. Nearly 2 million Nevadans are expected totunein to the highly anticipated rematch, with total spending projected to reach arecord-breaking $182.6 million, according to the Retail Association of Nevada (RAN). The amountNevadans planto spend on food, beverages, televisions, furniture, team apparel anddecorationsis 8.3 percent higher than 2024, when Las Vegas hosted its first Super Bowl.

Theseestimatesare based on data from the National Retail Federation (NRF), which projects record-setting national engagement. An estimated 203.4 million Americans planto watch the game,withaverage spending per viewer at $91.58, a 6.4 percent increase over lastyear.

Accordingto the NRF,food and beverages remain the most popular Super Bowl purchases, with81percent of viewers planning to stock up for the big day. Other spending categories include teamapparel oraccessories, with 14 percent of viewers planning to make a purchase, and televisions, with 10 percent of viewers intending to upgrade their screens. Additionally,8 percent of viewers expect to buy decorations to enhance their game-day parties, while 6percentplan to invest in furniture to improve their viewing experience.

The big game by the numbers:

199,000 Televisions – According to the NRF, an estimated 10 percent of Nevada viewers plan to buy a TV, leading to approximately 199,000 television purchases — up more than 13 percent compared to 2024.

279,000 Team Apparel Purchases – With 14 percent of viewers plan to buy team apparel, RAN estimates 279,000 purchases in Nevada, a 10 percent increase from last year.

160,000 Decorating Fans – Around 8 percent of viewers plan to purchase decorations, consistent with last year’s figures. RAN expects 160,000 Nevadans to enhance their Super Bowl parties with festive decor.

14.1 Million Chicken Wings – The National Chicken Council projects 1.47 billion wings will be consumed nationwide. Nevada’s share of the feast is projected at 14.1 million wings, a slight increase from last year’s consumption.

$176.4 Million Wagered – Nevada sportsbooks are expected to handle $176.4 million in wagers for the big game. While down from last year’s record $185.6 million when Las Vegas hosted the Super Bowl, betting remains a key part of the experience for many fans.
