Nevada Retailers Praise Swift Legislative
Action to Address Egg Prices
The Retail Association of Nevada praises Nevada’s legislative leaders for their swift and decisive action in addressing the ongoing egg supply crisis, paving the way for critical consumer relief amid rising prices and limited availability.
"Our legislative leaders stepped up to support Nevada's retailers in bringing more eggs into the state," said Bryan Wachter, Senior Vice President of the Retail Association of Nevada. "We are grateful to the U.S. Humane Society and other stakeholders who joined this process to ensure consumers receive much-needed relief."
With the support of Speaker Steve Yeager, Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro, Senate Minority Leader Robin Titus, and Assembly Minority Leader Gregory Hafen, Assembly Bill 171 passed unanimously through both houses of the legislature and now awaits action by Governor Joe Lombardo.
"Nevada retailers urge Governor Lombardo to act swiftly in signing AB 171 into law," Wachter added.
