AsNevadagears upforIndependence Day celebrations, the Silver State is anticipatinga festivekickofftosummer with an estimated $200.2 million to be spent onfood, beverages andpatriotic items for outdoor BBQs and other festivities, according to the Retail AssociationofNevada (RAN).

Across the United States, consumers are expected to spend $9.4 billion for Independence Day,accordingtoa recent survey by the National Retail Federation (NRF). This marksthe second-highest spending in survey history, following last year's peak. According to the survey, 87.0 percent of Americans plan to celebrate the holiday, with the average expenditure perperson estimated at $90.42.
When itcomestocelebration plans, themost common activity remains a traditional picnicor BBQ,with66.0 percent of respondents planning such gatherings. Additionally, 44.0 percent willenjoy fireworks orcommunity events, 13.0 percent will attend parades, and 12.0 percent areset totravel ortakea vacation. Moreover, 31.0 percent of respondents expressed intentionsto purchasepatriotic items to mark the occasion.
