RANMembers,

Asthe83rdSessionoftheNevada Legislatureends,onethemeisclear:this year’spolicyprioritieswillraisecostsfor Nevadaconsumers.

Morethan1,200billsandresolutionswere introduced—manywithwide-ranging implicationsforbusinessesandthe communitiestheyserve.Whilethesession beganwithbipartisancooperationto temporarilysuspendNevada’scage-free eggrequirement,thatearlymomentum gavewaytoawaveofregulatory mandates.Fromartificialintelligenceto laborcomplianceandemployer-funded leave,thelegislationthatadvancedoften lackedmeaningfulanalysisofcostor consumerimpact.

Throughoutthesession,RANmonitored hundredsofproposalsandfocusedour advocacyonthosewiththemost significantimpactonNevada’sretail economy.Thisreportoutlinesthebillsthat matteredmost whatpassed,whatfailed, andwhatitmeansforyourbusiness.

Theresultisagrowingimbalance wherebusinessesfaceincreasing obligationsandconsumersareleftwithhigherpricesandfewerchoices. Aseconomicdevelopmentbecomesmoredependentongovernment subsidyandcompliancegrowsmorecomplex,RANwillcontinue advocatingforamoresustainablepathforward—onethatsupports innovation,affordability,andlong-termopportunityforallNevadans.
