Mother’s Day Spending to Reach Record Levels Spending in Nevada to Eclipse $509 Million Nevada is primed to set a record for spending this Mother’s Day as residents prepare to show their love and affection for the women in their lives who mean so much. The Retail Association of Nevada (RAN) estimates Mother’s Day spending in the Silver State will reach a record $509.9 million, up 13.9 percent from last year. The spending estimates are based on a recent survey by the National Retail Federation (NRF), which found that 84.0 percent of consumers nationwide plan to celebrate the special day this year. According to the NRF, celebrants will spend an average of $245.76 on jewelry, flowers, special outings and other gifts. Given increased participation and spending levels, Mother’s Day spending nationwide is expected to reach a new high of $31.7 billion, up 12.9 percent from 2021.
