THE REBRAND ISSUE

of Business

Is it safe to call yourself an artist as an entrepreneur? I mean after all, we have created a business from our vision and imagination. Whether it is a new app, fragrance, design, or website, it takes the creativity of the mind to bring forth a masterpiece. As we grow in our entrepreneurial endeavors, we are constantly tweaking, changing, rebranding, and editing our business models.something like an artist does to a painting or sculpture. Art within the workplace can encourage and promote social interactions, inspiration and stimulate emotional responses. Art in the workplace affects how the people within the environment feel about themselves. Think about how your curated your workspace. Whether you have a brick-in-mortar location or home office-you have created your own

mini art gallery if you well. According to the book, The Art of Business: Make All Your Work a Work of Art, it states the art of business is about seeing both the economic flow and the artistic flow in business. Enormous benefits can result from applying and blending insights from two worlds- the aesthetic and emotional richness of the arts and the strategic and operational perspective of business. Many without knowing took this approach when Instagram became all about aesthetically pleasing feeds and cohesive branding. Some may want to see the authenticity of entrepreneurship and its work ethic with the new trend of “unfiltered GRWM” moments, but they are watching through the lens of an observer- one who sees the beauty in your art of business. So I must ask founder, what work of art have you created?

Finance Meets Fragrance: Binance Unveils CRYPTO Scent to Attract More Women into Crypto

CAMPAIGN Includes $25 Crypto Reward for Each of First 5000 Women to Begin Their Crypto Education Binance, the leading blockchain ecosystem behind the world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume, is blending finance with fragrance with the unveiling of its luxury scent,  CRYPTO Orchestrated by Binance’s female marketing leaders, this disruptive marketing campaign coincides with International Women’s Day, and is part of Binance’s broader efforts to bring more women into crypto and foster greater inclusivity in the space.

The CRYPTO fragrance was first previewed in a series of luxury advertisements, intended to pique public interest and serve as a teaser for the campaign. This strategy draws inspiration from the conventions of beauty advertising, and is simultaneously intended to challenge the norm and defy existing perceptions around crypto.”Bold, distinctive, and deliberately disruptive, CRYPTO isn’t a scent we’re marketing — it’s a message to women that they have a significant role to play in the crypto revolution,” says Rachel Conlan, Chief Marketing Officer at Binance. “Drawing from my own experience of working in the crypto industry, I’ve seen firsthand the invaluable contributions of the women who dared to step into this realm.

We’re here to tell women everywhere: Don’t be a bystander. Break those glass ceilings, challenge existing narratives and become part of this digital transformation that’s set to redefine global finance.

”A core component of this initiative is to encourage more women to learn and explore the world of cryptocurrency. As an incentive, Binance will also be rewarding each of the first 5,000 women who successfully

complete a crypto beginner course on Binance Academy with $25 in USDT Token Vouchers. As part of its International Women’s Day efforts, Binance is also organizing a series of local meetups, as well as social media and user-generated content initiatives. Collectively, these efforts aim to foster meaningful discussions about the increasingly important role women play in the crypto space. They are also intended to raise awareness of how cryptocurrency can enhance different facets of women’s lives, from financial empowerment to career advancement and beyond. This campaign demonstrates Binance’s dedication to diversifying and democratizing the landscape of cryptocurrency, and adds to the organization’s other ongoing efforts to support women across the globe. According to the Digital 2024 Global Overview Report, a study by data firm GWI found that women’s involvement in crypto investing is still lower than that of their male counterparts across all age groups. This disparity is likely to be the result of persistent gender imbalances in the financial sector, societal predispositions, individual risk considerations, and an overarching perception of the crypto space as male-oriented.

In her additional remarks, Rachel Conlan emphasized, “Crypto is universal — it’s

about empowering all individuals. It’s time to ensure no woman is left behind in this financial revolution. That is what we are committed to doing at Binance. Our commitment to inclusion extends beyond mere rhetoric; we’re not just talking the talk, but backing it up with solid action by providing women with the educational resources they need to shape their financial futures and become active participants in this digital economy.”Find out more about the  Crypto is Yours campaign and how you can get started on your crypto journey on the official landing page

Let’s Get Drinks at “The Museum” At the core of The Museum’s hospitality offering is its sophisticated cocktail lounge, where jazz music sets the tone for an evening of storytelling and craftsmanship. Each cocktail served is a homage to the automobiles on display, with names and narratives that draw inspiration from their histories. For instance, the ‘Black Magic,’ a Hot Toddy rendition, pays tribute to the valiant story of Robert Montgomery, the original owner of our 1939 Rolls Royce Wraith and a celebrated MGM actor who served in World War II. This thoughtful connection between beverage and exhibit offers guests a deeper engagement with the themes on display. The Museum is committed to providing a dynamic and ever-changing backdrop for its members and guests.

With exhibits rotating every few months, The Museum ensures a novel experience with each visit. Currently,

patrons can explore a carefully curated collection that celebrates automotive history, available until the second week of April. Erica Davis Frimpong, the founder and owner of Annie Admin Virtual Assistants, has carved a niche in the virtual assistance industry by specializing in providing services exclusively to professionals in the trade industry. This unique business caters specifically to local plumbers, painters, roofers, garage door companies, and HVAC companies, offering a suite of services ranging from call handling to scheduling appointments and managing behind-the-scenes administrative tasks.

From Banking to Entrepreneurship:

A Strategic Evolution

Before embarking on her entrepreneurial journey in 2014, Erica had an extensive corporate career in banking, working with renowned companies such as Chase, Wells Fargo, and Regions as a small business banker. This experience provided her with valuable insights into the pain points and challenges faced by small business owners, setting the foundation for her future entrepreneurial endeavors. Originally starting her business as a social media agency, Erica’s path took a strategic turn based on identified demand within her network. Recognizing the consistent challenges faced by businesses when their administrative staff left, and fueled by her desire for a more flexible lifestyle as a mother, Erica transitioned into virtual assistance. This transition marked the inception of Annie Admin Virtual Assistants. While her initial clientele expanded beyond home service professionals to include attorneys and CPA firms, Erica strategically shifted her focus back to the trade industry. This pivot allowed her to create a unique value proposition, tailoring her services to the specific needs of home service professionals and positioning Annie Admin as a specialized and impactful support service.

Niche Services Setting Annie Admin Apart Annie Admin’s distinctiveness lies in its approach to virtual assistance tasks that many competitors overlook. Services include not only traditional virtual assistance tasks but also answering calls, learning industry-specific software, and scheduling appointments. This specialization sets Annie Admin apart in a highly competitive market. Despite being a virtual business, Annie Admin recently adopted

a remote-hybrid model, operating from a WeWork space. This approach facilitates inperson collaboration when necessary, providing a balance between virtual flexibility and the benefits of occasional in-person interactions.

Building a Team: From Solopreneur to Structured Growth

Erica’s entrepreneurial journey began as a solopreneur, but she soon realized the necessity of building a structured team. Her first employee was her husband, who initially worked unpaid. As the business expanded, Erica faced the challenge of transitioning from a one-person operation to establishing a team beyond her family members. This growth highlighted the importance of setting boundaries and prompted Erica to focus on proper documentation and systematization to manage a growing team effectively. The lack of early documentation led to challenges in team management, and Erica now emphasizes the importance of documenting processes from the beginning for smoother scalability. This focus on structure and systems has become integral to Annie Admin’s growth and sustainability.

Strategic Pricing: The Evolution of Profitability

A significant portion of the interview revolves around the evolution of Annie Admin’s pricing strategies. Erica candidly shares the journey from initially charging less to strategically increasing prices. Market research, understanding competitors’ rates, and considering all costs associated with service delivery played pivotal roles in this pricing evolution. The concept of ”profit first,” inspired by the book of the same name, emerged as a crucial financial management strategy. Allocating profit before planning expenses ensures sustainable business growth, encourages creativity in expense management, and allows for the provision of employee benefits, such as affordable healthcare.

Passion as a Driving Force: Insights for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Throughout the interview, passion emerges as a central theme. Erica advises against entering a business solely for monetary reasons, emphasizing the importance of genuinely caring about the business and its impact on clients. Her personal commitment to helping

clients and making a positive impact becomes a sustaining force in the face of entrepreneurial challenges. For individuals considering a career in virtual assistance or entrepreneurship in general, Erica provides practical advice. She dispels the misconception of complete flexibility in virtual assistance, highlighting the importance of identifying strengths and interests. Surrounding oneself with other business owners, seeking mentorship, and leveraging resources like podcasts are recommended for gaining insights into the entrepreneurial journey.

Celebrating Accomplishments:

Tequila and Spontaneous Travel

As the interview concludes, Erica shares her methods of celebrating accomplishments. Her approach involves enjoying a good Margarita and embracing spontaneous travel. Looking ahead, Annie Admin’s focus is on streamlining processes, scaling up, and franchising the business model across the United States. Erica invites support by connecting with local home service professionals and envisions the opportunity to help other women own their businesses.

Conclusion: Lessons from Erica’s Entrepreneurial Journey

B Luxury Essentials: A Journey of Innovation, Perseverance, and Transformative Entrepreneurship

In the ever-evolving landscape of business and entrepreneurship, the story of B Luxury Essentials stands out as a testament to innovation, perseverance, and a commitment to addressing real-life needs. In an exclusive interview with Bridget Francis, the founder of B Luxury Essentials, we delve into the inception of this unique brand, the challenges faced, and the remarkable journey of turning an idea into a thriving business.

The Genesis of B Luxury Essentials

The interview begins with a familiar scenario – technical glitches and delays. Yet, the genuine warmth in Bridget’s voice as she apologizes for the delay sets the tone for an engaging and authentic conversation. Rae, the editor of Henry Society Journal, expresses her excitement about B Luxury Essentials, a brand she describes as brilliant and inspiring. Bridget Francis, a native of New Orleans, LA, shares her journey from her hometown to Houston, TX, where she has been for the past eight years. A widow and a mother, Bridget found herself contemplating the idea of creating a brand that addresses a personal need and resonates with others. The concept of B Luxury Essentials emerged from Bridget’s personal experiences and sensitivities. As someone with delicate skin and a penchant for cleanliness, she found herself carrying her own towels while traveling. The discomfort of using hotel towels and the desire for a more hygienic alternative planted the seed for what would become B Luxury Essentials.

From Idea to Execution: Bridget’s

Eureka Moment

The journey from idea to execution involves overcoming hurdles, and Bridget shares her ”eureka” moment when everything fell into place. The realization that she could create disposable essentials that catered to both comfort and hygiene was the spark that ignited the journey of B Luxury Essentials. Turning an idea into a tangible product involves meticulous research and sampling. Bridget details the process of reaching out to distributors, individuals, or companies providing the necessary fabrics and materials. The quest was to find the right combination – thickness, softness, and size – to create towels and other essentials that would meet her standards and gain her stamp of approval.

Aspiring entrepreneurs often encounter challenges, and Bridget’s journey is no exception. She highlights the importance of finding distributors who align with the quality and standards she envisioned for B Luxury Essentials. The process, from conceptualization to finding the right suppliers, took about a year.

In a candid moment, Bridget reflects on her personal habits and preferences, emphasizing her discomfort with reusing towels and the need for a solution that aligns with her sensitivities. The inspiration for her brand stems from a genuine desire to provide a more hygienic and comfortable experience for individuals like herself.

Navigating Challenges:

The Impact of COVID-19

The conversation shifts to the unexpected challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which provided Bridget with an opportunity to reevaluate her business and make strategic decisions. The temporary closure of her daycare business allowed her the time and space to focus on launching B Luxury Essentials. Bridget shares insights into the meticulous process of selecting materials that are not only comfortable but also environmentally friendly. The sustainability aspect of B Luxury Essentials adds another layer to the brand’s commitment to providing quality products with a conscience.

Conclusion

Nancy Twine Announces $1M Dream Makers Founder Grant, Empowering Tomorrow’s Female Leaders

Nancy Twine, Entrepreneur, Executive, Investor, and Philanthropist, announced the Dream Makers Founder Grant—a visionary initiative designed to empower and support female entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on Black and BIPOC founders in the consumer goods industry. This $1 million grant aims to bridge the resource gap and help emerging businesses flourish, reach new audiences, and achieve their full potential. The grant, spanning four years from 2024 to 2027, will distribute $250,000 annually to selected grant recipients.

“Navigating early-stage business funding can be incredibly challenging. Much of my decade-long trajectory growing Briogeo was spent as a heads-down entrepreneur, focused on building the business. As I eventually scaled the business, I was able to be more ‘heads-up’ and through that, have been able to mentor and invest in other entrepreneurs. Inspired by my journey, I created the Dream Makers Founder Grant to provide critical, early-stage funding to underrepresented female founders. This support is uniquely structured—it doesn’t involve surrendering rights, equity, or entail payback obligations. It’s designed to let these founders concentrate on their vision while securing essential initial funding to bridge pivotal startup needs,” said Twine.

In its inaugural year, the Dream Makers Founder Grant will collaborate with Sephora’s 2024 Accelerate program and Fifteen Percent Pledge, renowned for their support of diverse entrepreneurship.

“At Sephora, we believe in pushing for more diverse voices and perspectives within the beauty industry. Partnering with

the Dream Makers Founder Grant aligns with our commitment to fostering inclusivity and supporting underrepresented beauty entrepreneurs. By collaborating with Nancy Twine and this initiative to further support Sephora Accelerate founders, we aim to empower the next generation of beauty leaders and contribute to a more equitable and vibrant industry,” shared Priya Venkatesh, Global Chief Merchandising Officer at Sephora. “At the Fifteen Percent Pledge, we are working to close the racial wealth gap by calling on retailers to dedicate a minimum of 15 percent of their shelf space to Black-owned businesses. Now more than ever, we recognize that advancing our mission requires direct investment in the growth of Black-owned businesses,” said Aurora James, founder of the Fifteen Percent Pledge. “As a Black-business owner myself, I know first hand the barriers that entrepreneurs face when trying to find necessary capital to grow their businesses, and how much of an impact the Dream Makers Founders Grant will make. I want to thank Nancy for her partnership and commitment to our shared mission.”

“I am eternally grateful for the bets placed on me over the years and am thrilled to pay this opportunity forward. It’s my hope that the Dream Makers Founder Grant, coupled with mentorship, will inspire and empower underrepresented female founders to relentlessly pursue their dreams,” added Twine.
