Jan Šmíd is specializes in landscape panorama and night sky photography. He is one of three Czechs who hold the most valuable and prestigious photography title of Master QEP (Master Qualified European Photographer). He has received a total of 130 medals and awards so far, won at international photography competitions, not only for himself, but for Czech photography above all.
When you say a “photograph”, everyone imagines a “click” and it’s done. Jan Šmíd uses the method when the final image is created from dozens up to hundreds of individual frames.
Now, the time has come for him to publish his first book. The book is published by Green Mango and its edition is as luxurious as his photographs. The hardback book presents Jan’s work from the Czech Republic, Norway and Italy at 280 pages, with dimensions of 230x325 mm, printed on fine coated paper. The book is due out in November 2020.
