Katrina Bevon | REIQ | Reforms, Rent increases - Where next? Katrina will speak about the current state of the QLD rental industry, rental reforms, minimum standards and where we are heading. Kat Beavon joined the Real Estate Institute of Queensland as Legal Counsel and Company Secretary in 2019 and was promoted to General Counsel and Company Secretary at the end of 2021. She is an accomplished lawyer who practiced in a variety of areas of law for almost a decade with a focus on property, commercial and securities law. Katrina will share case studies around Rental Increases, Lease Renewals and Periodic Tenancies.

Drug labs, Protecting yourself | QLD Police Sworn into the Queensland Police Service in April 2003, Andrew Linton has worked in general duties, child protection and investigation units and Criminal investigation Branches throughout the state as far north as Cooktown. Andrew has been attached to the Drug and Serious Crime Group since March 2014, working as a Detective Sergeant, senior investigator at the Synthetic drug Operations Unit from September 2022.

Lets dive into the pros and cons and see if we will be replaced (not on my watch) Teams will be allocated a topic and they will have a short time to put together an argument and rebuttal as to which platform is better. We will then have a chance to present these and of the scenarios each person will vote on the better option.

Keynote Speaker | Mel Greig Mel Greig worked in the ‘Media Industry’ for over 20-years across the biggest Radio and TV Networks including co-hosting Australia’s biggest national night time radio show the ‘Hot 30 Countdown’ she also appeared on ‘Celebrity Apprentice Australia’ and has been a regular guest on morning TV. Mel is very raw and real when sharing all aspects of her life, she shares how to be resilient and to choose life in your darkest times. It’s a journey of heartache but inspirational.
