Sincethelastedition,LaPulgaroundedoffa13-race season with two more second places from three startsatthetailendoftheFlatseason!
Already a dual winner in 2024, he returned to his happy hunting ground Newcastle, where he was beaten half a length - headed only close home - to finish runner-up. After a solid fifth at Southwell, his second bridesmaid effort came on his final start of the year, back at that venue, when only the even-moneyfavouritecouldfinishaheadofhim!
Having now run 25 times in RaceShare silks over two seasons, La P is currently enjoying a deserved holiday at Sarah Fanning’s yard in Yorkshire, before his returntotraining.
With a few excellent placed efforts in Racing League company last summer, it was his best season yet and he proved how versatile he is - and that there should beplentymoretocomeasasix-year-old.
Our first ever RaceShare100 purchase (where there are 1% shares in each syndicate) was Ann Terry, who got her head in front for the first time in emphatic fashionatLeicesterattheendofOctober!
The now three-year-old filly was a breeze-up purchase from last spring’s Doncaster sales. From there, she finished a good third on her debut and, following two lesser efforts, was a cracking second at Pontefract in September, where she pulledwellclearwiththewinner.
So, we went to Leicester with high hopes that she could go one better. On heavy groundthatday, sheonlyhadtwotobeat, but she scored convincingly by five and a half lengths, with the same distance back tothethird.
Shemaynothavebeatenmuchintheway of classy opponents, but she won as she liked.
Withthatdebutvictoryunderherbelt, shewasput up 4lbs to a mark of 73 and put away for the winter. Jockey Rossa Ryan was pleased with her after the race and commented that she would be a‘grandfillyfornextyear’. It’s always exciting to be involved with such an easy winner and she has given her owners all wintertodreamofwhatshecandoin2025!
ExcitingyearaheadforRaceShare& RaceShare100!
Prior to Ann Terry’s exploits, we added our third RS100 purchase to join our team of seven RaceShare horses - a yearling at the Tattersalls October Book 2 Sales. Lot 1104 was bought for 85,000 guineas (£89,250) by renowned racing investor Patrick Veitch and this colt by Bated Breath was subsequently named Breathe Easy by his owners.
He went into pre-training with Jane Allison in Wiltshire and was among the first batch of yearlings to be sent into training with Andrew Balding, having done everything asked of him to that point. He has continued to take things in his stride in full training with the Kingsclere team, so long may that continue. It won’t be long before the Flat season swings around and we can begin to get excited for his racecourse debutasatwo-year-old.
Over Jumps, Marlacoo was an unlucky faller - when hopes were high he’d get his head in front following two excellent starts over hurdles - at Wetherby on Boxing Day. His form to that point had been rock solid and we are confident he can win a race before long and put this recent blip behind him!
Spaceport is our latest RS100 purchase, a striking grey bought at the autumn horses-in-training sale. He has been pleasing his trainer Tom Lacey with his early schooling and it hopefully won’t be too long before he hits the track for his owners, who include ITV’s Oli Bell and his soundman,KenInSound!
Our newest syndicates offering 1% shares have proved very popular and there is a lot tolookforwardtointhecomingmonths.
IntroducingGibbsIsland…
In addition to Breathe Easy and Spaceport, our third and final purchase of the autumn was Gibbs Island who, unlike those two, wentupforsaleat£49pershareasanother ofouroriginalRaceSharesyndicates. He has been particularly well received, as a stunning chestnut gelding, who is already a winnerontheFlatforpreviousconnections.

Robustorunsablinderoncomeback!
Robusto returned to the track with a bang in early January and kick-started what will hopefully be another successful year for RaceShareowners!
He lined up at Kempton over two milesthe same course and distance as his win last summer - and put in a bold bid to challenge the eventual winner all the way down the home straight to finish second under Derby-winning jockey, and new partnerforRobusto,RichardKingscote.
40 of his owners enjoyed a private box for the evening organised by RaceSharespecial thanks to Beverley and Mimi from theKemptonteam.Eachownerpaid£10for access to the Wayward Lad Suite with excellent views of the track and that includedameal!Atopclasswaytospenda coldwinter’sWednesdayevening!
LirSpecialemakespromisingreturn!
Our Racing TV x RaceShare partnership horse, Lir Speciale - who is owned by Racing TV members - made a promising return to the track at Wolverhampton recently!
The six-year-old hasn’t had the rub of the green on the whole so far for us, but this was a marked step in the right direction, finishing fifth and beaten under three lengths. He had been caught further back than ideal and on the inside where the track ran slower, so to finish as close as he didafterfourmonthsoffwasagreatstartto proceedings.
This effort gave us a lot of encouragement moving forward and hopefully it won’t be longbeforehegetshisheadinfrontforthe first time in the Racing TV x RaceShare silks!
Another strong renewal period in October!
The month of October 2024 was our second ever round of renewals, when many of our owners had the chance to renew their shares in someofourhorsesforthenewyear.
Treasure Time, La Pulga, Red Mirage and Golden Maverick were all well supported as theycontinuedintoanotheryear-thefirstthree renewingforthesecondtimeintheirRaceShare careers.Allfourhorsesarewinnersinoursilkseight times in total between them - so no wonder many of their owners are sticking with them!
Having launched in November 2022 with five horses and now entering our second full year in 2025with12horsestorunforus,thisshouldbe our busiest year yet with numerous runners around the country and no doubt several big days out for the horses and our fantastic owners!
Autumn stable visits concluded in style! Since the last edition, stable visits took place for over half of the RaceShare horses, including our first trips to see RS100’s Ann Terry and Marlacoo. Also in the batch of autumn/early winter visits were Lir Speciale and Buccabay at Stuart Williams’ Diomed StablesinNewmarket.
Somerville Lodge is not a yard you can access easily, but William Haggas opened his doors for the fourth time in RaceShare historyto50orsoluckyowners. They were each treated to a brilliant tour of the yard by the man himself, who showedusallthefacilitiesoftheyardsuch as the equine treadmill and spa. The main attraction was Treasure Time, who looked great following his break.
