A very open beginners’ chase. It is JARRIVE DE MEE that appeals most following his good effort in a Grade 1 hurdle at Punchestown last time. If Intense Approach can bounce back to form he is a player. Arriving with the top rating, Sandor Clegane is entitled to respect but he doesn’t seem to win very often. The key race could be the Curragh handicap a month ago in which Fleetfoot accounted for a few of these, though there were excuses in behind. LOPE DE LILAS had not been asked any kind of question when knocked out of the race early in the straight and then eased. This 4yo retains plenty of upside. There are dangers aplenty and Layfayette has the class to be very competitive off top weight and he’s second choice.
