ONLINE A LEVEL MATHS THROUGH THE NATIONAL EXTENSION COLLEGE Maths is about solving problems, detecting patterns, predicting behaviour and outcomes. It provides a way of understanding and describing the world around us. A level Maths gives you the tools to study and understand abstract ideas and analytical processes. It is a highly regarded qualification by employers or for entry to higher education. We will screen and interview you for a place on this NEC course. It is recommended that you have a high grade in GCSE Maths or the equivalent. You should be confident in your Maths skills and knowledge and you will need to be able to set aside time to study. The course is flexible, there is no fixed enrolment date, you can enrol when you are ready and the duration of this course depends on you. However guidance suggests A level Mathematics takes about 300–360 hours, plus additional time for developing your skills, assignment work you submit to your tutor and summary exercises. You will have tutor support from a qualified A level Maths tutor for a period of up to 24 months from the date of enrolment. Many students allow 18–24 months to complete an A level, but some people complete the course within a year. Please note there is a fee of £695 payable to the NEC for this course.
