Real or Rumors?

Did R5 Really Break Up? In January of this year, amongst all the ruckus of the R5 handles on Instagram and Twitter suddenly changing, a "fan” began leaking what was to be The Driver Era's first single "Preacher Man”, claiming that she had hacked the bands accounts. To add to the chaos, instagram posts and tweets began to mysteriously disappear from R5's official accounts causing the fans to consider the truth of her claim. However, on February 28, the band's official twitter tweeted a picture of all five band members bowing at the end of one of their shows, captioned "BRB”. Unfortunately, they removed it the next day.
On March 1, much to our confusion, R5's official account names for Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, had all been changed to "The Driver Era”, confirming the hiatus of R5, though Ross did post a picture of a handwritten note claiming that "this is not the end. -After all we are family.”
Did Ross and Courtney Break Up? Funny how one little word can send a whole bunch of fans into an uproar.... We first suspected this rumour when, in an interview for his new movie "My Friend Dahmer, Ross tried to not so discreetly avoid one simple question: what is your relationship status? Ross, an awkward, goofy smile on his face, answered with a simple “I don't know.” Then quickly added “Yeah, I do know, but I don't know.” It wasn't until the next day, when the W Magazine referred to Courtney Eaton as his thengirlfriend, that everything began to make sense. Ross Lynch and Courtney Eaton did break up, but for all you Rourtney shippers out there, this may not be the end. We can see from some of their Instagram posts that the two have remained friends, and they were even caught out have lunch together!
R5 Into The Driver Era By: Ashley In March, there was a drastic change to R5. On March 1, 2018, all the band social media accounts had suddenly changed to “The Driver Era”, none of the band members included “R5” in their personal accounts, and the R5 Family had no idea what was happening. Then, it all unfolds. The Driver Era, a next-generation version of R5, was announced to consist of just Rocky and Ross. Soon after, they released their first single, Preacher Man. This synth-driven pop-rock track ranked #15 on the Alternative charts and #21 on the Rock charts. According to an interview with Billboard, Ross said that The Driver Era “was a combination of ideas but also just the idea that we knew we need to change something… we’ve been considering it for a long time.” To push the boundaries of their music, they needed to take R5 into a new direction, and that just happened to be The Driver Era. The family was super supportive of their decision and believe that it was a good idea to do.
While Rocky and Ross are focusing on The Driver Era, the other members of R5 are continuing to remain busy. Riker is launching his own talk show entitled “Glass Half Full with Riker Lynch�. It is set to premiere this summer and in each show, Riker will talk with other artists over drinks. Rydel has brought out her own clothing line on her website rydellynch.com and has also been posting videos on her YouTube channel. Overall, this transition into The Driver Era should be beneficial to everyone involved. All of the R5 members are getting the chance to do something they may not have been able to do previously. The R5 Family Mag staff is excited to see what is to come from The Driver Era and are prepared to keep the R5 Family updated with the latest in news from Ross, Rocky, Rydel, Ellington, and Riker!
R5 is Over: New Endeavours R5, they have been a band for many years, they put out their first album eight years ago, but now they are over. They aren’t mad at eachother, just wanting to do different things. Rydel and Ellington are still very much in love, and we may all still have our favorite members. We miss R5, but we are welcoming the Drivers Era. A fresh new group consisting of former R5 members, Ross and Rocky Lynch. They’ve already put out some AMAZING bops for us fans, and have given us a little information about who they are, what they are doing. But let’s look at the other former members of our beloved R5, what are they up to now that the name “R5” has vanished? Rydel: Rydel is going on tour with her tea parties! She has a few dates here and there where you can catch her, she was just in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. She also has her own clothing line out! It seems like she’s adding new pieces all the time, but they never fail to amaze us, as they all look stunning. Rydel’s clothing line has anything from fishnet socks, to body suits, to VINYL glitter and snapbacks. The line is supposed to mimic Rydel’s style but you could very easily make it your own too.
Ellington: Ellington has stayed a little bit more out of the spotlight, but that doesn’t mean that he hasn’t been busy! Ellington has created something called “Jam Nights” where he invites smaller artists to play in a bar, and he promotes their performances across his social media. Ellington has also been busy with Rydel, surprising her with dates and being the best boyfriend he can be, it makes you wonder when he’s going to pop the question?
Riker: Riker is very busy as well. He is working on a new talk show that is premiering this summer called “Glass Half Full.” He has been busy filming episodes to later share with us. Riker is also working with something called “The Turnover Movie.” The movie claims to be about “[Henry, Riker’s character, who] plays the Puppet master when he hires a crew of misfits in an attempt to ruin the owners business.” The movie describes itself as “A delightful, quirky life-affirming film.” and also features actors such as Lainie Kazan, Paul Guilfoyle, and Karen Sharpe, among others.

Rydel's Tea Party: Spring Fling It is finally springtime, Let's celebrate! Here are some ideas of a springtime inspired Rydel's Tea Party! →Here are some tea party staples that sweetly say “Springtime!” to your guests. - Flowers… of course - pastel colors - Floral or pastel colored serving items (plates, utensils, cups, etc)
DECORATIONS: -Pastel colored balloons -Pastel colored table cloth -Garden decorations (use the picture to the right as inspiration) -Large, pastel colored bows (to tie on your chairs… as seen) -Coloring books, if you have younger guests. (put crayons in a small, ceramic flower pot)
APPETIZERS: -Tea Sandwiches: 1. In a medium sized bowl add cream cheese, shredded carrots, fresh chopped chives, fresh chopped parsley, and seasonings. 2. Combine all ingredients and mix well. 3. Cut an English cucumber in half and slice thin slices of your desired amount of cucumbers. 4. Spread the carrot and herb cream cheese on both sides of a sandwich 5. Place your desired amount of cucumber slices on each sandwich and top with another slice of bread. -Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Sticks: 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees 2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper 3. Cook bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until most of the fat is cooked out, but is not crisp. Remove from pan and drain on a paper towel lined plate. 4. In a small bowl, combine cream cheese with garlic and season with salt and pepper. Stir until combined. 5. Spread about 1/2 tablespoon cream cheese onto each strip of bacon. 6. Place asparagus in the center and roll bacon around asparagus 7. Bake 5 minutes, until bacon is crisp and cream cheese is warmed through. - Croissants - Fresh fruit and vegetables
DESSERT: - Chocolate Cake: 1. In a bowl, cream ⅔ cup of butter and 1 ⅔ cups of sugar until fluffy. 2. Add 3 large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each 3. Combine 2 cups flour, ⅔ cups cocoa, 1 ¼ teaspoons baking soda and 1 teaspoon salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with 1 ⅓ cups of milk, beating until smooth after each 4. our batter into a greased and floured 13x9-in. Pan. 5. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until cake tests done 6. Cool on a wire rack. Then, when cool, dust with confectioners sugar. - Sugar cookies: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F 2. In a small bowl, stir together 2 ¾ cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and ½ teaspoon baking powder 3. In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup softened butter and 1 ½ cups white sugar until smooth 4. Beat in 1 egg and teaspoon vanilla extract 5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients 6. Place teaspoon-sized balls of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet 7. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden 8. Cover with pastel-colored frosting

Sure, they haven't gotten very far with this new 'project' yet, but you can't wait to see what else is in store, even if you are still confused on what exactly is happening to them. I suggest blasting Preacher Man to get even more pumped!
You got R5! You still can't wrap your mind around the fact that they're The Driver Era now, and it's really messing with you. You love who they were during the early R5 TV times and when Louder came out. It all seems like it was yesterday. I suggest blasting some of their old songs for some major nostalgia.
