HEART WORK Acts of service and volunteerism are good for the heart and soul and a moral obligation. It’s one way we put our faith to action.
An impressive cohort of nationals and expatriates volunteered as part of our national COVID-19 response led by Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health. The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy in partnership with Community Development, Qatar Foundation’s nurses, Weill Cornell Medical College students, and Hamad Medical Corporation undertook a massive volunteer training program to ensure the safety of our local heroes. Volunteers were taught about the basics of COVID-19 including disease incubation and transmission, and learned about the basics of hand hygiene, how to properly wear PPE, and environmental cleaning.
