Agriculture
NESA categorises Agriculture as an Applied Technology subject not a Science. Science Extension cannot be studied with Agriculture alone
Ancient History
Extension History (Year 12) may be an extension to HSC History Extension (Year 12) either Modern History or Ancient History
Biology
A maximum of seven units of Science may be studied
HSC Science Extension (Year 12)
Chemistry
A maximum of seven units of Science may be studied
HSC Science Extension (Year 12)
Chinese
HSC Chinese Extension (Year 12)
Classical Greek Continuers
HSC Classical Greek Extension (Year 12)
A maximum of seven units of Science may be Earth and Environmental Science studied
HSC Science Extension (Year 12)
English EAL/D
May be studied by any student who has been educated overseas or in an Australian educational institution with English as the language of instruction for five years or less prior to commencing the Year 11 course
English Standard English Advanced
You must study either Standard or Advanced. Prelim English Extension (Year 11) Extension may be studied with the Advanced HSC English Extension 1 (Year 12) Course only. You must study Year 11 and HSC HSC English Extension 2 (Year 12) Extension 1 to be eligible to study HSC Extension 2
French Continuers
HSC French Extension (Year 12)
German Continuers
HSC German Extension (Year 12)
Hospitality
This VET course is a Category B subject for ATAR calculation
Italian Beginners
This may only be studied by students who have 100 hours experience or less at Key Stage 4 and 5 in Italian
Japanese Continuers
May only be studied as a second or subsequent language. Cannot have more than one year of formal education in the language in a country where the language is the medium of instruction.

You may study either Advanced or Standard. Prelim Mathematics Extension (Year 11) Mathematics Extension may be studied with the Advanced HSC Mathematics Extension 1 (Year 12) Advanced Course only. You must study Year 11 and HSC Mathematics Standard Extension 1 to be eligible to study HSC Extension 2 HSC Mathematics Extension 2 (Year 12) Modern History
