A new home for US (Upper
School)

So much more than just a building...

Upper School is a place where Positivity, Vulnerability, Inclusivity, Equity and Bravery is encouraged.
A JOURNEY TO INDEPENDENCE

Students in our Upper School are in a unique formative stage – no longer children, yet not quite young adults. This stage of school life provides a bridge into the Senior School, where students grow in independence and enjoy new privileges. Our aim is to ensure the Upper School is a place where we affirm the importance of solid connections, respect and trust as we embark on this important journey with our girls.

Designed just for US girls
The jewel in the crown of our new Upper School precinct is an expansive communal area for students, which measures 225m 2 and can accommodate up to 150 students comfortably.

The Common Room will spill out onto the Colonnade area, which, over time, will be transformed into a campus green space.
The space will provide a warm and inviting option for our girls during wet weather, and before and after school hours. Students are welcome to use the kitchen facilities during breaks and Year 9 will also have use of new storage lockers nearby.
The girls can manoeuvre furniture to create their own space, whether they are gathering in groups or feeling like some quiet time to pause, reflect and recharge.

A beautiful new office for US
Our new Upper School Office is situated adjacent to the students' area and provides a warm, welcoming and thoughtfully designed meeting point for students, staff and families.
It includes a light-filled reception area for students and families, private waiting and meeting spaces, and offices for the Head and Deputy Head of School, Head of Wellbeing and administration staff. A locker room with 160 brand new, beautiful lockers is located adjacent to the reception area. These will be allocated to Year 9 to welcome them to the Upper School and help connect them to this space and Upper School staff.
