• The Fall sports season has taken over the Peninsula with soccer and football playoffs on deck. Peninsula athletes are in the heat of the fall battle with teams looking for undefeated seasons, eyeing championship trophies and King/Queen of the Hill status for the holidays. • The youth football season is winding down its regular season and is getting ready for competitive playoffs and final championship games for each division.

Let The Season Begin . . . The Black and Gold 6-7-year-old Mavericks teams open the flag football season with strong competition at PV High.
Playoffs Up Next . . . The Mavericks White stopped the Mavericks Black and are tied for first place with the Mavericks Purple in the 10-11 Division.
• Flag football and girls’ volleyball mark the fall sports season with basketball and soccer set for winter.
Miraleste School will host Palos Verdes Intermediate this week in the final battle in the fall sports season.
• Select teams from all over the South Bay and Southern California travel to the Peninsula to play the top home teams during Fall Ball.
Cornerstone School and Highridge Park play host to the PVP Girls Softball League’s Fall Ball season with games played every Sunday in the fall.
