FOUNDER'S NOTE

Welcome to Issue #3 of pursuit:365 Magazine!

This edition is especially inspiring, as our cover story highlights the incredible journey of Geeta Dayal, founder of By Charley Madison Medical Spa. After surviving a near-fatal car accident, Geeta chose not to let adversity define her. Instead, she transformed her experience into fuel for creating a sanctuary where beauty, wellness, and healing intersect. Her vision goes beyond aesthetics—she has built a collective space rooted in empowerment, inclusivity, and community. As she says, “I may have been broken, but I rebuilt myself stronger not just for me, but for every woman watching.”

Stories like Geeta’s remind us why pursuit:365 exists. Dreams are rarely born in comfort—they’re often forged in moments of challenge, reflection, and courage. Seeing members of our community take risks, set boundaries, and build something meaningful is what drives us to continue amplifying voices from all walks of life.

In this issue, you’ll also discover a rich variety of perspectives. Daniela Fisher shares the divine path of Angelic Reiki healing. LeiLani Kopp reflects on the art of living fully and freely. Bill Carpenter explores how culture shapes organizational success. Calli Jensen introduces us to her visionary beauty referral network, while Raya Karin speaks to the power of healing beyond four walls. Susan Sheehan gives practical insight on how women can show up, speak up, and step up in all areas of life. We also take an unfiltered look at the world of pageants, feature a Member Spotlight interview with Amy Williams, and include many more thought-provoking pieces.

This mix of voices is intentional—our magazine is as eclectic as the community it represents. We believe growth, wisdom, and inspiration come from sharing many different kinds of stories, each carrying its own truth and impact.

At its heart, pursuit:365 is about community. When we lift each other up, we create ripples of empowerment that extend far beyond these pages. May this issue inspire you to keep chasing your dreams, building your vision, and showing up authentically—because the world needs what only you can bring.

ANGELIC REIKI HEALING: A DIVINE PATH TO WELLNESS

In the vast realm of energy healing, Angelic Reiki stands out as a powerful and transformative practice that connects individuals to the Divine wisdom and unconditional love of the Angelic Kingdom of Light. Unlike traditional Reiki, which focuses on channeling universal energy through the healer's hands, Angelic Reiki goes beyond by invoking the assistance of celestial beings—Archangels, Ascended Masters, and Galactic Healers—who facilitate deep healing on multiple levels.

The Foundation of Angelic Reiki

Angelic Reiki is not just an energy healing technique; it is a sacred spiritual attunement that allows individuals to access their multi-dimensional self. This process connects practitioners and recipients to the profound gifts, qualities, and essence of the ten Archangels of the Tree of Life. Through Angelic Reiki, one can tap into the higher realms of consciousness, receiving healing and guidance that transcends the limitations of the physical world.

A key element of Angelic Reiki is the attunement to the Angelic aspects of the 13 Rays of Creation. These Rays are Divine frequencies that carry the wisdom of creation itself, allowing healers to work with energies that promote deep transformation. By aligning with these energies, the practitioner opens a gateway to profound healing experiences.

The Role of the Healer in Angelic Reiki

One of the most unique aspects of Angelic Reiki is the role of the healer. In traditional energy healing modalities, the

healer actively directs energy to the recipient. However, in Angelic Reiki, the Angels perform all the healing work. The healer's primary responsibility is simply to hold the sacred space, acting as a bridge between the Angelic Kingdom and the recipient. This means that the healing session is divinely guided and free from human ego, ensuring that only the highest good is achieved.

By placing hands on specific positions on the recipient’s body, the healer facilitates the flow of Divine light and energy, allowing the recipient’s higher self to integrate the healing on all levels—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. This method promotes a deep sense of peace, clarity, and balance, helping the individual release blockages and align with their soul’s purpose.

Atlantean Master Symbols and Healing Crystals

Angelic Reiki integrates sacred Atlantean master symbols, which are activated to their Universal level by the Angelic Kingdom. These symbols carry the wisdom of ancient civilizations and serve as powerful tools for healing and transformation. Unlike other Reiki systems where symbols

are activated through human intention, Angelic Reiki ensures that these symbols operate at their highest vibrational frequency through Divine intervention.

Additionally, Angelic Reiki establishes a link to the healing qualities of the crystals of Atlantis. Crystals have long been recognized for their ability to store and transmit energy, and in Angelic Reiki, their spiritual essence is reawakened. By working with these crystalline energies, practitioners can enhance the depth and effectiveness of the healing process.

The Philosophy of Angelic Reiki

Angelic Reiki is deeply rooted in “The Ancient Wisdom,” a philosophy that honors sacred spiritual practices such as protection, cleansing, and space dedication. Before a healing session, practitioners engage in rituals that purify the space, ensuring that it is energetically aligned with the highest vibrations. This practice safeguards both the healer and the recipient, creating a harmonious and divinely protected environment.

Furthermore, Angelic Reiki emphasizes the importance of self-healing and spiritual growth. By embracing this practice, individuals embark on a journey of self-discovery, awakening their innate connection to the Angelic realm and unlocking their true potential.

The Benefits of Angelic Reiki

Angelic Reiki offers a wide range of benefits for those seeking physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Some of these benefits include:

• Deep relaxation and stress relief: Angelic Reiki promotes a profound sense of calm and inner peace, reducing anxiety and tension.

• Emotional healing: It helps release past traumas, fears, and emotional blockages, fostering greater emotional resilience.

• Spiritual awakening: Recipients often experience heightened intuition, clarity, and a stronger connection to their soul’s purpose.

• Physical well-being: By balancing the body’s energy systems, Angelic Reiki supports physical healing and overall vitality.

• Enhanced self-awareness: Regular practice deepens selfunderstanding and encourages personal growth.

Angelic Reiki is more than just a healing modality—it is a sacred journey into the realms of Divine light and love. By surrendering to the wisdom of the Angelic Kingdom, individuals can experience profound healing, transformation, and alignment with their highest purpose. Whether you are a practitioner or a recipient, Angelic Reiki offers a unique opportunity to connect with celestial energies and embrace the boundless love of the Universe.

In a world that often feels chaotic and overwhelming, Angelic Reiki serves as a reminder that we are never alone. The Angels are always present, ready to guide, heal, and uplift us on our journey towards wholeness and enlightenment. All we need to do is open our hearts and allow their light to flow through us.

THE ART OF LIVING WELL, FREELY AND FULLY: A REFLECTION

There’s something radical about living well—truly well—in a world that constantly asks women to prove, perform, and push. Not loud. Not flashy. Not forced. But well in the way that makes your life feel like your own. To live fully is to live with intention. And to live well is to live in alignment—with your values, your energy, and your joy. For many years, I’ve been asked what success looks like. People often expect the answer to be numbers, milestones, media moments, or material gain. And while those things have shown up along the way, they’ve never defined my version of success.

Because the truth is, it’s freedom.

Freedom of time. Freedom of energy. Freedom of spirit. And maybe most importantly—freedom from the noise.

When I think about what I’ve worked for all these years, it wasn’t status. It was sovereignty. The ability to choose who I am, how I show up, and how I care for myself, my work, and the people I love. Living well isn’t about perfection—it’s about clarity. It’s about simplifying what matters. Removing what doesn’t. Creating beauty—not just in business or aesthetics—but in your actual experience of being alive.

For me, that has meant honoring my values even when it wasn’t trendy. Taking the slower road. Saying no when everyone else was saying yes.

I built a life that’s sustainable, not just scalable. One that feeds me instead of drains me. One where my health, ethics, creativity, and joy are at the center— not squeezed in after everything else. That is what it means to live well.

It’s not a formula. It’s a rhythm. And every woman deserves to find her own.

We’re often taught that living fully means doing more—squeezing every drop out of every day. But I’ve learned that fullness doesn’t come from

overfilling your calendar. It comes from fullness of being.

Being present. Being aligned. Being kind to yourself. Being rooted in what you know to be true, even when others don’t see it yet.

The women I admire most aren’t always the busiest or the boldest. They are the ones who are awake. Who walk into a room and breathe differently. Who know themselves well enough to say no without guilt and yes without apology.

They lead lives that reflect their inner peace—not their outer performance.

Living fully isn’t just about big choices. It’s in the small, daily moments where you reclaim your time, trust your instincts, and invest in your well-being. It’s turning off the noise. It’s choosing slow over rushed. It’s speaking with intention. Eating with gratitude. Creating space for what lifts you.

And it’s deeply personal.

My version of living fully may not look like anyone else’s. And that’s the point.

It’s about designing your life, not duplicating someone else’s. It’s giving yourself permission to want what you want, need what you need, and live how you live—with no justification required.

That’s freedom.

And that’s where the art comes in.

Because living well is an art. A practice. A philosophy. It’s knowing how to tune in to your own rhythm in a world that profits off distraction.

It’s knowing that you can be ambitious without being exhausted. That you can be generous without being depleted. That you can build beautiful things without betraying your peace.

It’s an art to trust that joy is enough.

To trust that doing work you love and living a life that feels aligned is success. To let go of the chase. To stop proving. To stop apologizing for not wanting more— when what you already have is enough.

There is power in that.

There’s a quiet kind of confidence that comes from knowing your life fits you—and no one else. It’s not built overnight. It comes from years of intentional living, editing, refining, and releasing what no longer belongs. You begin to sense when something no longer serves your peace, even if it once did. You don’t need to rush. You don’t need to explain. You just align.

That, too, is part of living well. The wisdom to let go gracefully.

What I’ve also learned is that ease is not laziness. Rest is not idleness. In fact, it takes more discipline to protect your peace in a fast-paced, always-on culture than it does to run yourself ragged.

It’s knowing when to pause. In creating space instead of constantly filling it. In trusting that presence is more magnetic than performance. That how you move through the world matters just as much as what you achieve in it.

We often hear that fulfillment is found at the end of achievement, but I’ve found it’s in the journey—in the daily rituals, the laughter with loved ones, the small wins that no one else sees. That is the strength. You don’t have to struggle to be wise. You don’t have to be loud to be heard. And you don’t have to be everything to everyone. Sometimes, the most revolutionary thing a woman can do is simply live well—and live freely.

There is power in knowing that your life doesn’t need to be dramatic to be meaningful. That quiet mornings, good food, ethical work, loving relationships, and soft joy are more than enough. That living well is a legacy in itself.

Freedom is not just the destination—it’s the daily practice of choosing yourself over performance, your peace over pressure, your truth over trends.

And it’s something I wish more women were taught from the start: that your value isn’t measured in productivity, popularity, or pace.

It’s measured in presence. In how deeply you enjoy your own life.

It’s measured in your ability to stay close to your values in a world that constantly pulls you away from them.

The more I live, the more I trust this simple truth: you don’t need to suffer to prove your worth. You don’t need to grind to earn joy.

And you don’t need to be loud to be powerful.

There is something amazing about a woman who knows who she is and moves through life with quiet confidence and ease.

Because the world doesn’t always know what to do

with a woman who is already enough. Who doesn’t need to chase or conform or compete. Who lives well—not to impress—but to express.

Living fully doesn’t mean doing everything. It means doing the right things for you.

Living well doesn’t mean having it all. It means having what matters—and knowing the difference.

And freedom? Freedom isn’t the finish line. It’s the foundation. (literally for me) The daily decision to choose yourself and your truth.

To build from joy, not fear. To honor your energy as much as your goals.

I built my life on that.

And I hope every woman reading this knows she can too.

THE INFLUENCE OF CULTURE ON ORGANIZATIONAL SUCCESS

When it comes to what makes a group or organization thrive, four key ingredients often come into play: Culture, Circumstances, Commitment and Capital what I like to call the 4 C’s. While all are important, culture is the one that’s easiest to overlook and hardest to define, yet it quietly shapes everything else.

Culture, in simple terms, is “the way of life of a group of people” or as some might put it “the way we do things around here.” It reflects the shared values, behaviors, and unspoken rules that guide how people treat each other and how work gets done. It sets the tone. A healthy culture lifts people up. A toxic one wears them down. And because it’s often invisible, many leaders fail to address it—until it’s too late.

Let’s take a simple example. Imagine a small nonprofit that’s passionate about helping youth in the community. The mission is clear, the team is talented, and the funding is solid. But behind the scenes, staff feel left out of decisions, ideas are shot down, and burnout runs high. Despite good intentions and strong resources, the group struggles. Why? Because the culture stifles connection, creativity, and commitment.

Now contrast that with a local bakery started by two friends. They don’t have much capital, but they treat employees like family, listen to ideas, and share credit for success. The energy is positive, and people want to be there—even customers notice. That sense of belonging fuels loyalty and growth. Culture, not cash, is their biggest asset. Their focus on relationship and service will generate the profit so essential for business success.

One common mistake is letting culture evolve on its own. Often, it ends up reflecting the personalities or preferences of those in charge—especially the loudest voices or those most concerned with power. In these environments, people quickly learn the “rules”: go along to get ahead, don’t challenge the status quo, and definitely don’t rock the boat.

Over time, this can lead to disengagement, high turnover, or even collapse.

This is especially dangerous in a world where Circumstances— things like shifting markets, new technologies, and social change—are constantly in flux. To adapt, organizations need flexibility and innovation. A rigid, fear-driven culture will resist change and discourage the very ideas that could lead to growth.

Commitment—that deep, personal investment in a group’s success—doesn’t come from a job title or a paycheck. It comes from feeling seen, heard, and valued. People give their best when they believe in what they’re doing and know they’re part of an organization that respects who they are. Culture plays a huge role in fostering that belief. Without a sense of connection, commitment fades fast.

And of course, no organization survives without Capital— whether it's money, people, or resources. But smart investors and supporters don’t just look at spreadsheets. They want to know: What kind of culture are we buying into? Will this team attract and keep good people? Is the work environment healthy? Culture can be the tipping point between a risky bet and a wise investment.

At its core, culture is like an invisible current. It flows through every interaction, meeting, and decision. People pick up on it right away—whether they’re joining a team or visiting an office. Schools of fish and flocks of birds often move together in near perfect unison influenced by a similar unseen energy field that connects them. Some speculate that this behaviour is instinctive to help ensure the survival of the species. In humans I believe it is more to ensure the survival of the culture. You can feel when a place is open, encouraging, and respectful. And you can just as easily sense when it’s cold, tense, or hierarchical. We’ve all walked into spaces and thought: This feels good—or I don’t belong here.

The good news is, culture isn’t fixed. Because we’re thinking, feeling human beings—not just herd animals—we have the power to shape it. But it takes intention. The first step is awareness: What is the current culture, and how does it serve or hinder the group’s mission? The second is listening: What do people need to feel safe, energized, and motivated? And finally, comes alignment: How can we create a culture that supports both people and purpose?

This balance is where real success happens—not just in hitting goals, but in building organizations people believe in.

Over the years, I’ve developed a program to help both businesses and nonprofits build cultures that truly support their people and missions. I share more about this in my book, Awakening the Genie Within, but the message is simple: when people feel connected, respected, and empowered, great things follow.

Culture isn’t just part of the puzzle—it’s the backdrop against which everything else plays out. Get it right, and you’ll have a team that shows up with heart, energy, and creativity. Get it wrong, and even the best plans will falter.

So let’s stop treating culture like an afterthought. Let’s make it the foundation.

CALLI JENSEN:

THE VISIONARY BEHIND OUR

BEAUTY REFERRAL NETWORK

AND THE POWER OF COMMUNITYDRIVEN GROWTH

In an increasingly digital and impersonal world, where algorithms often dictate visibility and success, one woman decided to change the narrative—especially for the beauty, health, and wellness professionals whose lifework centers on personal connection, healing, and trust. That woman is Calli Jensen, the founder and visionary force behind Our Beauty Referral Network.

This isn’t just another business directory or ad platform. Our Beauty Referral Network is a purpose-driven referral system designed to empower small beauty and health businesses to thrive—without getting lost in the noise of the internet or paying thousands in marketing fees. Through her own experiences as a health and beauty professional, and as someone passionate about wellness and community, Calli knew there had to be a better way.

This is her story—and the story of a network built for connection, growth, and impact.

From Personal Passion to Purpose-Driven Action

Calli Jensen’s journey into the world of beauty and wellness began as a personal passion. Like many entrepreneurs in this field, she saw the transformative power of self-care, healing, and aesthetic confidence in the lives of others. Her

early experiences working closely with clients gave her a deep understanding of not only what people needed to feel better in their skin—but also what it took to run a business in this space.

“I saw so many talented estheticians, massage therapists, wellness coaches, holistic practitioners, and beauty professionals doing incredible work,”

Calli shares. “But no one knew about them. They didn’t have the time or tools to market themselves—and most of their business came from word of mouth.”

She realized something profound: referrals were the heartbeat of the beauty and health industry. But without a structured way to encourage and expand those referrals, most small businesses struggled to grow.

That’s when the idea for Our Beauty Referral Network was born.

Why Referrals Matter More Than Ever

In today’s economy, marketing costs are soaring. Social media platforms change their algorithms daily, leaving businesses scrambling to stay relevant. And while advertising can bring exposure, it often lacks the trust factor that small servicebased businesses need to convert interest into loyal clients.

Referrals, on the other hand, are rooted in trust. When someone recommends a business to a friend, it carries the weight of personal experience and confidence. It creates a ripple effect—building reputation, loyalty, and community.

Calli recognized this natural power and decided to make it intentional.

She developed a done-for-you referral system that eliminates the guesswork. Instead of hoping clients refer their friends or relying on luck, businesses who join the network gain access to a built-in structure that generates unlimited referrals. They’re instantly plugged into a community of like-minded professionals and potential clients who believe in

supporting small, independent businesses.

Building a Network That Puts Small Businesses First

What makes Our Beauty Referral Network different is that it isn’t just about exposure—it’s about results. The system is designed to remove common barriers that small business owners face:

• No high advertising costs

• No complicated marketing funnels

• No isolation or competition

• No need to “do it all” alone

Instead, members of the network are supported with:

• A custom referral profile that attracts new clients

• Access to a curated directory of trusted professionals

• Co-marketing and cross-promotion opportunities

• Referrals from other providers in the network

• Visibility through client-focused content, promotions, and community outreach

“We’ve created an ecosystem where everyone wins,” Calli explains. “Providers grow through referrals, and clients are connected with experts who genuinely care about their well-being.”

A Win-Win for Clients, Too

While the business benefits are clear, the heart of Our Beauty Referral Network lies in its service to clients. Today’s wellness-minded consumers are searching for reliable, holistic, and high-quality support for their beauty and health needs—but they’re often overwhelmed by options, unsure of where to turn, or wary of being sold to.

The network solves this problem by functioning like a personalized concierge system. Whether someone is looking for a trusted esthetician, a hormone specialist, a fertility coach, a massage therapist, a hair expert, or a holistic healer— they can receive hand-selected referrals to vetted professionals in their area.

This not only saves time but increases the likelihood of a meaningful, results-driven experience.

And because the network is built on relationships, not just transactions, clients often feel a deeper sense of trust, safety, and connection when choosing a provider.

Growing with Intention, One Referral at a Time

One of the most unique aspects of Calli Jensen’s vision is her commitment to sustainable and intentional growth.

Rather than chasing vanity metrics like follower counts or clicks, the network is focused on helping providers build real, lasting relationships with the people who need their services most. This means small businesses can finally experience steady client growth without burnout or endless marketing hustle.

In fact, many providers in the network report seeing:

• More loyal, long-term clients

• Higher rates of referral traffic

• Increased bookings and income

• A stronger sense of community and collaboration

These are the building blocks of a thriving, purposeled business—and they’re at the core of everything Calli set out to create.

Meet the Providers Changing Lives

Part of what makes Our Beauty Referral Network so powerful is the diversity and depth of its members. From skincare professionals and functional medicine providers to mental health coaches and hormone specialists, every business is handpicked for their excellence, ethics, and impact.

Some are just getting started and want to grow quickly. Others are seasoned professionals looking to refine their client base and focus on high-quality care. All of them share one thing: a dedication to improving lives through beauty, health, and holistic service.

And thanks to the network, their work is reaching more people than ever before.

A Personal Invitation from Calli

As Our Beauty Referral Network continues to grow across regions and specialties, Calli is inviting more small business owners and health-focused

clients to become part of the movement.

Whether you’re a beauty provider who wants more referrals and visibility—or a client seeking trusted care—there’s a place for you here.

“This network is bigger than me,” Calli says. “It’s about bringing back trust, collaboration, and community to an industry that truly changes lives. Every referral is a ripple. Every connection matters. And we’re just getting started.”

How to Join the Network

If you’re a small business in the beauty or health space, joining Our Beauty Referral Network is simple. The process includes:

• Application and Approval – Ensuring your services align with the network’s quality and values.

• Profile Creation – You’ll receive a personalized referral page and access to marketing tools.

• Referral Activation – Once onboarded, you’ll immediately begin receiving referral support.

• Ongoing Community Support – From trainings to live events, you’re never alone in your growth.

For clients, access to trusted referrals is just a few clicks away. You can submit a simple form outlining your needs, and the network will match you with professionals who are perfect for your goals—no

guesswork required.

Final Thoughts

In a world of noise, Calli Jensen is creating something deeply needed: clarity, community, and care.

Our Beauty Referral Network isn’t just a system— it’s a movement. One that empowers small businesses to thrive, helps clients find the wellness support they need, and brings human connection back to the center of commerce.

If you believe in supporting local businesses, building relationships that matter, and transforming lives through beauty and health—this is your invitation to join a new kind of network. One where every referral is a gift. And every connection tells a story.

THE DECEPTIVE WORLD OF PAGEANTS: WHAT I LEARNED ON THE ROAD TO MISS CANADA 2025

When most people think of beauty pageants, they imagine sparkling gowns, perfect bodies, and competition based purely on physical appearance. That was exactly the impression I had when I first stepped into the pageant world. As someone who recently entered this realm, I believed what many still do—that to be successful, you had to be one specific size, and that “one size” fit all. The reality turned out to be quite different.

Eight months before the Miss Canada 2025 competition, I began mentally preparing myself for what I thought was the most important part: dieting. I was slightly embarrassed about not fitting the traditional mold I had in mind. So, I made a plan. I’d cut carbs, hit the gym harder, and try to shrink myself into the version of “pageant-ready” that I had absorbed through years of cultural messaging.

But then life happened. Between juggling work commitments, community service, and the neverending demands of pageant fundraising, my diet plan quickly fell apart. No matter how good my intentions were, I stayed at the same weight—unchanged and, honestly, frustrated. The stress didn’t help either. There were moments when I felt I had failed before I even arrived.

What surprised me most, though, was what happened after I got to the competition.

The moment I walked into the venue, all of my assumptions started to unravel. The room was filled with women—and others who identify as women— of all body types, backgrounds, and ages. This wasn’t the cookie-cutter image I had in my head. It was diverse, welcoming, and surprisingly real.

You begin to realize quickly that pageants, at least in Canada, aren’t about achieving some impossible aesthetic ideal. Instead, they’re about creating space for connection, for sisterhood. At the various events and functions leading up to the big night, the atmosphere wasn’t catty or cutthroat—it was deeply supportive. People shared advice, traded stories, and

encouraged each other with genuine warmth.

Sure, everyone wanted to win. But what stood out was that most of us forgot about the crown during our time together. We were too busy having meaningful conversations—about career dreams, social impact projects, personal struggles, and triumphs. I found myself in rooms full of women who had launched nonprofits, advocated for mental health, led local initiatives, and poured themselves into causes that mattered. These were not just beauty queens. These were community leaders.

Through this experience, I learned that the real measure of success in a Canadian pageant isn’t how well you fit into a dress—it’s how deeply you’re connected to your community, and how authentically you show up as yourself. The judges aren’t looking for perfection; they’re looking for passion, purpose, and presence. They want to see someone who’s doing the work—not just on the outside, but within and around them.

Participating in Miss Canada didn’t transform my body. It transformed my mindset. I stopped obsessing over what I wasn’t, and started appreciating everything I already was—a woman with goals, with a voice, and with a platform that mattered.

There’s still a lot of misconception surrounding pageantry, and in many ways, the industry still has progress to make. But at least where I stood, it

wasn’t about being the skinniest, the tallest, or the most conventionally attractive. It was about being the most engaged, the most authentic, and the most committed to making a difference.

The pageant world has changed. It’s no longer just about the crown—it’s about what you do with it. And for many of us, the real prize isn’t the title. It’s the sisterhood, the self-discovery, and the powerful reminder that you are enough, just as you are.

Q A with Geeta Dayal

Photography by Amy Williams Photography

What was your “aha” moment that led you to start your business?

Surviving a near-fatal car accident in 2021 forced me into deep reflection. In that moment, I realized life is too short not to pursue what truly fulfills me. Though my body was struggling, my mind remained sharp. I knew I had more to give, so I decided to build something meaningful.

With my background in business development, mentorship and the beauty and wellness industry, I envisioned a space that empowered others while delivering luxury, high-quality care. I wanted more than just a business; I wanted to create a sanctuary where clients felt valued and professionals could thrive. That vision became the foundation of By Charley Madison Medical Spa.

Today, I take immense pride in seeing my dream come to life. My goal remains clear: to foster an environment that prioritizes excellence, empowerment and inclusivity.

Who has been the biggest influence in your career, and what did you learn from them?

I’ve been fortunate to have amazing mentors, but my greatest influence has always been my mother. She embodies strength, resilience, and generosity. Raising five children alone, she faced immense challenges but never gave up. Her struggles taught me independence, perseverance and the importance of leading with kindness.

She probably doesn’t realize how much she shaped me. Watching her navigate hardship showed me what I needed to do to build a stable, successful future for myself and my family. Her unwavering belief in me has carried me through my toughest moments.

Her influence extends into my business. At By Charley Madison, I strive to create an environment that reflects her values—strength, integrity and a commitment to lifting others up. Every time I mentor a an entrepreneur or help a

client feel more confident, I honour the lessons she taught me.

How do you push through self-doubt or tough times?

Self-doubt is something even the strongest individuals face. I’ve had moments of uncertainty, but I always turn to my deepest motivation—my family. My daughter, Charley and my bonus daughter, Ava, inspire me daily. When I feel overwhelmed, I think about the legacy I want to leave for them: one of resilience, courage and determination.

Beyond my family, I find strength in my support system. My husband is one of my biggest supporters and cheerleaders. He believes in me even when I doubt myself, reminding me of my strength and capabilities. His unwavering encouragement pushes me forward and I am grateful to have him by my side.

The entrepreneurs I mentor inspire me as I watch them grow, and the people who mentor me keep me focused. Their wisdom reminds me that tough times aren’t roadblocks but stepping stones.

Daily affirmations and self-reflection help me stay grounded. When doubt creeps in, I remind myself why I started. I reflect on the lives I’ve impacted, the confidence I’ve helped build and the space I’ve created where people feel valued. That perspective helps me push through challenges and come back stronger.

Ultimately, my drive comes from passion and purpose. When you believe in what you’re doing and know you’re making a difference, doubt becomes just another hurdle to overcome.

What’s one misconception people have about your industry or business?

One of the most common misconceptions about the medical aesthetics industry is that it’s all about vanity. In truth, it’s about so much more— 2 1 3 4

confidence, self-care and feeling aligned with who you are. At By Charley Madison Medical Spa, we see aesthetic treatments as an extension of overall wellness. Whether someone wants to enhance their natural features, refresh their appearance or simply take time to invest in themselves, our work is rooted in care and intention.

It’s not about chasing perfection—it’s about helping people feel comfortable, empowered and confident in their own skin. We’re proud to offer a safe, inclusive space where clients can show up exactly as they are. The transformations we see every day are not just physical, they’re deeply personal and it’s an honour to be part of that journey.

What has been your most surprising lesson in entrepreneurship?

That kindness is a strength, but boundaries are essential. For a long time, I led with generosity, collaboration and an open heart—it's how I was raised and how I’ve built my life and business. I truly believe in showing up for others and creating spaces where people feel supported and empowered. But one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that not everyone will meet you with the same energy or integrity.

Learning to set clear expectations and protect my peace has been transformative. It’s not about becoming guarded—it’s about honouring my worth, my time and the vision I’ve worked so

hard to build. Boundaries don’t make you less kind, they allow you to keep showing up with kindness in a sustainable, authentic way. And that shift has been a game-changer for me, both personally and professionally.

What’s a risk you took that completely changed the game for you?

Investing everything I had, financially, emotionally and physically into building my business. It wasn’t just a risk; it felt like a leap of faith with no safety net. After my accident, when I realized that my body was no longer going to allow me to continue doing the handson work I loved so much, I was faced with a choice: either let go of everything I had built over the years or find a new way forward. I chose to go all in. Not because it was easy, but because deep down I knew I still had so much to offer. My mind was still sharp, my passion was still strong and I refused to let my disability define what was possible for me. That decision changed everything. It forced me to step into a leadership role, to trust in my vision and to build something bigger than myself. A collective space rooted in collaboration, compassion and care.

That risk became the foundation of By Charley Madison Medical Spa. And looking back now, I realize it wasn’t just a turning point, it was the moment I reclaimed my power and redefined what success could look like on my own terms.

What’s one habit, tool, or strategy that has made the biggest impact on your productivity?

Time-blocking and intentional delegation. I make sure to carve out time for the high-impact tasks that move my business forward while empowering my team to shine in their roles.

If you could define your legacy in one sentence, what would it be?

I want to be remembered as someone who uplifted others, created opportunities and turned challenges into stepping stones for success.

What inspired you to start your business,

and what problem are you solving?

I was inspired by a deep desire to create something that didn’t yet exist in my community. A space where beauty, wellness and healing could truly intersect. After years in the industry, I saw a gap. There were medical spas and there were wellness clinics, but there wasn’t a space that brought both together under one roof—especially not in a way that felt inclusive, empowering and rooted in heart-led care.

I envisioned a collective where people could access both advanced medical aesthetic treatments and therapeutic services in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. A space where professionals from different disciplines could collaborate, lift each other up and create meaningful change in people’s lives—not just on the outside, but within.

I also wanted to build a business that empowered practitioners, especially women and underrepresented professionals, to thrive in their craft without compromising their values. By Charley Madison Medical Spa was born from that vision: to offer exceptional care while also being a nurturing home for talent, growth and connection.

We’re not just solving the problem of fragmented services—we’re building a community that prioritizes care, confidence and collective success.

What was the biggest challenge you faced in building your brand, and how did you overcome it?

Dealing with unethical leaseholders and an unwelcoming business environment when I first moved into my space. It tested my patience and resolve, but I stood my ground, leaned on legal guidance, and focused on making my business a success despite the obstacles.

Can you share a pivotal moment that changed the course of your business or life? 10 8 9 11 7

Saying "yes" to mentorship and collaboration. The moment I started sharing my journey and helping others grow, doors opened in ways I never expected. It deepened my purpose and expanded my impact.

What daily habits or mindset shifts have contributed most to your success?

Starting each day with gratitude, setting clear intentions and staying adaptable. Challenges will come, but my mindset determines whether they break me or build me.

How do you balance entrepreneurship with your personal life and well-being?

It’s a work in progress! I prioritize time with my family, set boundaries with work and remind myself that I can’t pour from an empty cup. Self-care is non-negotiable.

deals, partnerships and personal growth. It’s given me the courage to stand firm in my value.

If you could go back in time and give your younger self one piece of business advice, what would it be?

Trust yourself more. You know more than you think you do and your instincts are powerful. Listen to them.

What’s next for you and your business—any exciting projects or future goals?

I’m excited to expand our IV therapy services, grow our partnerships in film and television, and continue mentoring entrepreneurs. There are some big collaborations on the horizon and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

“I may have been broken, but I rebuilt myself stronger not just for me, but for every woman watching.” Geeta Dayal 13 14 15 16 12

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received, and how has it shaped your journey?

"Know your worth and don’t be afraid to walk away." That advice has helped me in business

NERVOUS SYSTEM OVERLOAD? TECHNIQUES TO REBALANCE AND REGULATE

Our bodies were designed to survive in a world that is very different to the one we are living today. Our ancestors didn’t check emails, scroll social media, obsess over likes or partake in hustle culture. The real threats were immediate and physical - like being chased by a wild animal. Today, our nervous system responds to modern stressors with the same intensity, even though the nature of the threats has changed. Chronic stress and illness are on the rise, and they’re taking a serious toll on our nervous systems.

What Is the Nervous System (and Why It Gets Dysregulated)

The autonomic nervous system is made up of two branches: the sympathetic (fight or flight) and the parasympathetic (rest and digest). Dysregulation occurs when there’s an imbalance between the two, compromising your ability to manage everyday stress and maintain a sense of calm. This can cause you to overreact or underreact to situations and people around you.

Signs and Symptoms of a Dysregulated Nervous System

A dysregulated nervous system can show up in

emotional, physical, and behavioral ways:

Emotional

• Anxiety

• Irritability

• Numbness

• Apathy

Physical

• Trouble falling or staying asleep

• Fatigue

• Chronic illness

• Digestive issues

Behavioral

• Constant scrolling

• People-pleasing

• Avoidance

• Burnout

• Inability to relax

Why Modern Stressors Are So Hard on the Nervous System

True rest and relaxation have taken a backseat to constant stimulation and hustle, especially if you're running your own business. We’re bombarded by social media and digital distractions that keep our nervous systems on high alert. Our bodies interpret emotional and social threats as if they were physical dangers. For those living with chronic illness, a dysregulated nervous system can worsen symptoms and slow healing. So, how can you help your body feel safe and exit survival mode?

Supporting and Regulating Your Nervous System

Somatic exercises are body-based practices that help release stress, trauma, and tension from the nervous system. They bring awareness to physical sensations, support nervous system regulation, and help restore a sense of safety in the body.

Grounding Techniques

Try the 5-4-3-2-1 technique to bring yourself into the present moment using your five senses.

• Name five things you can see.

• Notice four things you can physically feel.

• Identify three distinct sounds.

• Observe two different smells.

• Focus on one taste in your mouth.

Somatic Shaking

After stress, animals instinctively shake to release energy—humans can do the same. Shake your body vigorously for 30–60 seconds or bounce on a rebounder.

Tension and Release Exercises

Push against a solid surface like a wall to ground yourself. Stand with feet hip-width apart, palms flat on the wall. Inhale, then exhale as you push into the

wall as if trying to move it. Hold for 5–10 seconds, then release. Repeat 2–3 times.

Stimulating the Vagus Nerve

• Humming or Singing: The vibration from your voice activates the vagus nerve. Try humming, singing, or repeating a soft “om” or “ahhh.”

• Cold Water on the Face: Splash your face with cold water or submerge it briefly to activate the calming response.

• Gargling: Gargle water from the back of your throat for 30 seconds, twice a day. Aim for a deep, resonant sound.

Final Thoughts

Research shows that somatic exercises help re-establish nervous system flexibility. The goal is to restore balance to your nervous system so you feel more calm, grounded, and resilient. A dysregulated nervous system isn’t a life sentence—it’s a sign that your body is doing its best to cope with an overwhelming world. The good news is that small, consistent somatic practices can create profound shifts. Choose to slow down and integrate these exercises into your daily routine, so you can help your body feel safe again, restore balance, and move from surviving to truly thriving.

WALKING YOUR OWN PATH: THE POWER OF AUTHENTIC HEALING BEYOND FOUR WALLS

In today’s fast-paced world, it has become all too common to feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from ourselves. We are encouraged to perform, produce, and push forward—even when our inner world is asking us to slow down and breathe. The result is often a quiet discontent, a feeling of being lost or out of alignment with who we truly are.

But there is another way.

Walking your own path means honoring your unique journey—one that doesn’t look like anyone else’s and was never meant to. It means choosing to live with authenticity, vulnerability, and presence, even when it’s uncomfortable. It’s a path that invites you to show up fully, not just for others, but for yourself.

Many people are beginning to feel a gentle inner nudge—a whisper calling them toward something different. A desire to break free from the “normal” that leaves them burnt out and depleted. That whisper is your soul asking you to see your healing and growth

through a new lens. One that is rooted not in clinical settings and rigid structures, but in nature, intuitive wisdom, and the rhythms of the Earth.

Healing doesn’t follow a straight line. Like a river, it twists and turns, sometimes rushing, sometimes still, always moving. Along the way, we encounter challenges, breakthroughs, lessons, and tools that help us evolve. It is in these natural rhythms that we find profound transformation.

Nature itself is the ultimate healer and teacher. She

shows us how to be still, how to flow, how to let go. When you step outside of four walls and into the forest, onto the earth, or by the ocean, something begins to shift. The nervous system settles. The heart opens. And the mind finds clarity. In these spaces, we remember who we are.

This is the essence of intuitive, nature-based healing. It’s not about fitting into a box or following a strict model. It’s about allowing your healing to unfold organically, guided by inner wisdom and supported by the natural world. When you sit under the canopy of ancient trees or walk barefoot on the land, you are not just grounding your body—you are reconnecting to your spirit.

The mother tree stands tall in the forest, her roots

deeply woven into the earth, her branches reaching toward the sky. She is a symbol of what it means to be both grounded and expansive. Just like her, you are capable of weathering storms and growing strong through every season.

Choosing to say “yes” to this journey isn’t always easy. But it is empowering. It creates space for expansion, for authentic connection, and for deep healing that honors all parts of you—body, mind, and spirit.

You were never meant to walk the same path as anyone else. Your healing journey is yours alone, and it is beautiful, wild, and worthy.

FROM NERVOUS TO NOTICED HOW WOMEN CAN SHOW

UP, SPEAK UP, AND STEP UP IN ALL BUSINESS AND LIFE’S CONVERSATIONS

“These are just mere males with more money.”

That one thought helped me hold my ground in a room of $100 million investors—and deliver the pitch of my life.

Not long ago, I found myself presenting a business opportunity to eight men in a boardroom.

I froze. My mind went blank. And as I looked around the table, I didn’t feel seen as a businesswoman—I felt objectified.

That experience stuck with me. I knew I had the knowledge, the results, the drive—but in that moment, my voice disappeared.

Fast forward four years. I’m standing in front of nine angel investors with a combined net worth of over $100 million.

Was I nervous? Absolutely.

But this time, I was ready.

I stood tall, spoke with clarity, and delivered with confidence.

And I did it with one cheeky reminder playing in my mind:

“These are just mere males with more money."

Why So Many Brilliant Women Freeze in Big Moments

Even the most capable women can shrink in rooms that feel intimidating. Why? Because it’s not just about skill—it’s about safety.

When your brain perceives risk—judgment, failure, rejection—it triggers protection. You freeze, overtalk, or downplay your brilliance.

This is not a weakness. It’s your nervous system doing its job.

But here’s the good news: You can train it. You can rewire your brain, body, and beliefs to feel strong and safe in high-stakes conversations.

From Fear to Freedom: The 3 Shifts That Changed Everything

1. Show Up with Certainty

Confidence isn’t about knowing everything—it’s about being anchored in who you are. Before any high-pressure moment, I ask myself:

“What do I stand for? What value do I bring?” You don’t need to compete—you need to connect. First with yourself, then with others.

2. Speak with Structure

Many women over-explain to prove their worth. But clarity is what commands attention.

Speak in frameworks. Think in headlines. Deliver like a pro.

Try this: Point. Proof. Pause.

“The strategy needs a reset. We’ve seen declining engagement for 3 months. Let’s look at a refreshed approach.”

3. Step Up with Energy

Your energy enters the room before your words. Stand tall. Breathe deeply. Speak from your centre, not your throat. You don’t need to be louder—you need to be grounded.

This Isn’t Just Communication. It’s Identity.

Through our program, Personal Dynamics 360 , we now teach what I had to learn the hard way: To lead powerfully, you must be powerfully you— clear, calm, and congruent.

You must become the woman who:

1. Speaks with strength

2. Sets boundaries without guilt

3. Navigates powerful rooms with ease

4. Leads from identity, not insecurity

You don’t need to perform. You need to own your space.

“Confidence isn’t about proving. It’s about owning.”

Member Spotlight

INTERVIEW WITH: AMY WILLIAMS AMY WILLIAMS PHOTOGRAPHY

In our new “member spotlight” section, we will be showcasing Pursuit 365 members who are doing amazing things in their businesses. Today, I am interviewing Amy Williams, a versatile, Vancouver-based photographer who specializes in family, school, and branding photography. She has over 2 decades of experience in photography, and in setting herself apart in a competitive industry.

Background & Inspiration

Can you tell us how you got started in photography?

Growing up, my dad and grandma were always taking photos, so my life has been pretty well documented! I received my first camera in elementary school. In high school, I took a photography class that I absolutely loved, we shot black-and-white film and developed everything ourselves in the darkroom. That experience led me to become the photo editor and sports photographer for the school paper, and I was hooked. Since then it's rare for me not to have a camera in my hand, even if it's just my iPhone now it's ready to go!

Was there a defining moment when you knew photography would be your career?

I think it really clicked when I photographed my first wedding for complete strangers, not friends or family. I was in college, and the wedding was on the island,

in Tofino. Even though I was on my own, I captured everything and when the couple saw their photos, they were absolutely thrilled. Seeing how much those images meant to them made me realize: This is what I want to do, create lasting memories for people, just like my dad and grandma did for my sister and I.

What inspired your particular style or niche within photography?

Honestly, I just love real moments. After 30 years behind the camera, I’ve learned that the best photos aren’t the stiff, overly posed ones, they’re the laughs, the messy hugs, the little glances that tell a story. For families, that means keeping things fun and natural. For schools, it’s all about capturing the energy of kids being kids, I like to explain my school portraits as "where portrait and personality meet." And for small businesses? I love giving them a gallery full of images that actually feel like them—not some generic stock photos.

Business Journey

How did you transition from being a creative to becoming a business owner?

The creative side came naturally, but the business side was a learning curve. Early on, I realized photography isn’t just about taking great photos, it’s about client relationships, pricing, marketing, and systems. I invested in workshops and gradually built processes that let me focus on what I love while running a sustainable business. It’s a balance, but the reward is getting to do what I’m passionate about every single day.

What were some of the biggest challenges you faced in launching your photography business? Burnout. For nearly 30 years, I’ve run my own photography business, and while capturing moments for others is fulfilling, the unseen work is exhausting. It’s

easy to assume I’m just a photographer, but behind the lens, I’m also the location scout, editor, content creator, the marketing team, social media manager, accountant, customer service rep, archivist, web designer, and booking coordinator, all rolled into one.

And yes, as someone whose work lives in the spotlight of social media, I’ve battled imposter syndrome more times than I can count. Some days, I’ll scroll through my own feed and think, "Who am I kidding?" Even after 30 years in this business. But then I remember, photography isn’t about perfection. It’s about connection. It’s messy, real, and beautifully imperfect, just like all of us.

So if you’ve ever felt like you’re "not enough" in front of the camera (or behind it), trust me: I get it. But your story deserves to be told, wrinkles, chaos, and all.

Brand & Client Experience

How do you approach creating a unique brand as a photographer?

Consistency is key. From my website to my social media, I ensure my brand reflects warmth, professionalism, and a focus on storytelling. I avoid trends that don’t align with my vision and instead lean into what makes my work distinct: timeless, emotive imagery and a personalized client experience. For me, branding isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s about how clients feel when they work with me.

A little fun fact about my photography: I always try to sneak a car into your photos whenever I can. Why? Well, when I look back at old photos of my grandparents and great-grandparents, the buildings and landscapes often look timeless, but the cars? They’re like little time capsules. You can always tell the era by the cars in the background.

It’s a small detail, but I love adding those subtle markers to your photos. Years from now, when your kids or grandkids flip through these images, that car will tell a story all on its own. Just one more way I help archive your memories, with a touch of nostalgia and a whole lot of personality.

How do you ensure a great client experience from first contact to final delivery?

Communication is everything! I reply fast, keep things clear, and make sure no one’s left wondering what’s next. I have client lounges on my website for my photo

sessions, answering all the questions that could be asked, what to wear and some of my favourite locations. During shoots, I keep the vibe light, no stiff posing unless we need it. And after? I deliver photos on time and always follow up. Happy clients = repeat clients + word-of-mouth love.

Marketing & Growth

How important is social media to your photography brand, and how do you use it effectively?

I’ll admit, when I first started my business, social media didn’t even exist! (Now I really sound like a granny.) As much as I miss the days of simpler algorithms and fewer ads, we’ve got to adapt to the times, right? These days, Instagram is my go-to, it’s like a mini portfolio that keeps my work visible. Staying active, relevant, and open to new platforms is just part of the game now. But no matter how things change, the heart of it remains the same: connecting with people through the images I create.

Do you collaborate with other creatives or businesses to grow your reach?

Absolutely! Collaborating with local businesses (e.g., boutiques, schools, or marketers) expands my network and provides mutual value. For example, I’ve partnered with small businesses to create branded content while giving them a library of professional images. I also love working with stylists or makeup artists for styled shoots, it elevates the work and introduces my business to new audiences.

Tools & Workflow

What gear or tools are essential to your work?

As a photographer, I definitely don’t travel light! I come from a long line of Nikon loyalists, my grandma, dad, and sister all shoot Nikon, so it’s a family tradition. My current fave is my Nikon Z6ii paired with a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, which is perfect for family sessions.

For behind-the-scenes moments, my iPhone is always handy, and I’m excited to start experimenting with the Ray-Ban Meta glasses for even more immersive content during shoots. When it comes to editing, I’m a Mac devotee, and Adobe Creative Suite is my lifeline, I’ve been using Photoshop since 1994 (version 3!) and haven’t looked back.

Of course, the essentials don’t stop there: multiple external drives (backups are sacred), a well-loved (read: falling apart) camera bag, studio lighting, and… honestly, I could keep going, but I’ll spare you the full gear-nerd rundown!

Are there any systems or software that help you stay organized as a business owner?

I tend to keep things simple. For accounting and taxes, I stick with Numbers, it gets the job done without overcomplicating things. When it comes to notes and ideas, OneNote is my lifesaver (and synced to my phone), no more scribbling on random scraps of paper!

For scheduling, I’m old-school at heart: I rely on an

extra-large yearly wall calendar where I jot everything down. (There’s something satisfying about writing it out by hand!) But just to be safe, I back it all up in Google Calendar because even the best systems need a digital safety net.

Advice & Insight

What advice would you give to aspiring photographers who want to turn their passion into a business?

Start with a strong foundation: define your niche, master your craft, and understand the business side (pricing, contracts, taxes). Don’t undervalue your work (that is still a tough one for me!), charging what you’re worth attracts the right clients. Network relentlessly, and always prioritize client experience over shortcuts. And don’t stress about having it all figured out right away. I’m still learning after 30 years!

What’s one thing you wish you knew when you started your business?

That perfectionism can be paralyzing. Early on, I hesitated to put myself out there because I wanted everything to be “perfect.” But growth happens through action, launch the website, share the work, learn as you go. Also, outsourcing (editing, accounting, etc.) sooner would’ve saved me time to focus on creativity.

Future Vision

What’s next for your photography business?

I’d love to expand my brand photography services, helping more small businesses craft their visual identity.

I’m also exploring workshops for parents who want to take better pics of their kids, sharing what I’ve learned over 30 years. I have this idea about working with older women and celebrating their lives through photography. As we age, we often forget just how incredible we are, the lives we’ve lived, the challenges we’ve overcome, and the wisdom we’ve gained. I want to change that. I want to create a space where women can see their strength, beauty, and resilience honoured in photos. It’s about reclaiming our stories and celebrating everything we’ve accomplished. And honestly? It feels like a big, important idea.

And personally, I’m always seeking new ways to push my creativity, whether through personal projects or experimenting with light and composition.

How do you continue to challenge yourself creatively and professionally?

I set aside time for personal projects, like travelling and making resin and polymer clay jewellery (@oldivystyle) to reignite inspiration. I attend workshops and stay curious about new tools (I'm looking at your Nikon) or trends, while staying true to my style. And I regularly ask for client feedback to refine my process.

Wrap up

Anything else I should have asked you? And how do people find you?

You can find me at amywilliamsphotography.ca or on Instagram @amywilliamsphoto (if you’re active there!) I'm also on TikTok @amywphoto sharing more fun and travel videos.

I’d add: What’s your favourite part of being a photographer?

For me, nothing compares to the joy on a client’s face when they see their photos for the first time. Whether it’s a parent tearing up over a candid moment of their kids, a small business owner thrilled with their new brand gallery, or a heartfelt email thanking me for capturing years of school memories, that’s the magic that keeps me inspired.

I’ve been so touched by the feedback on my fresh approach to school photography, where I focus on genuine smiles and authentic energy instead of stiff, traditional portraits. And when parents reach out to say, "We still treasure the photos you took years ago," it reminds me why I do this: you’re not just hiring me to take pictures, you’re trusting me to freeze time.

Every session is a chance to meet incredible people, tell their stories, and create something meaningful. Knowing these images will be passed down, laughed over, and cherished for decades? That’s the greatest honour of all.

FROM PERIOD SHAME TO PERIOD POWER: THE STORIES THAT SHAPE US

You know the saying: everyone has a story. The truth is, we all have many—and they evolve as we do. Some stories come quietly. Others arrive screaming. And then there are the ones we’ve been told never to tell at all.

For too long, period stories have been silenced. Stigmatized. Hidden behind euphemisms and shame. Even now, in 2025, menstruation remains taboo in boardrooms, classrooms, and family dinner tables. That silence isn’t just uncomfortable—it’s dangerous. When we’re taught that periods are gross, dirty, or embarrassing, we don’t talk about what’s normal or what isn’t. We don’t ask for help when something’s wrong.

We don’t push for policy. We suffer silently.

That ends here.

BLEED: period stories written to be shared is a bold new coffee table book that doesn’t whisper—it shouts. Created by joni, a Canadian social impact brand advancing menstrual equity, this anthology breaks open the conversation with raw, real, unapologetic stories. Each contribution is personal—but together,

they’re political. A reclamation. A reminder that when we speak, we spark change. When we write, we reframe. And when we release our stories, we give others permission to do the same. These are the stories that shape us—and reshape what’s possible.

BLEED launched on May 28, 2025, Menstrual Hygiene Day, and we celebrated with an online launch and caught up with some of the contributors. Here are the reflections from that event about how sharing stories helps break the silence and how the authors are feeling now that their stories are out in the world.

Cultural Silence and the Pushback of Visibility

“In West Africa, they send women to the ‘hut of rest’ when they bleed—but to me, it felt like the hut of shame.”

Assetou Coulibaly, Founder and Curator, AKA CIA

In her BLEED story, “Red Alert: A Story of Shock and Toilet Paper,” Assetou Coulibaly takes us back to a moment many of us remember: her first period, arriving unannounced in the middle of a public shopping mall with no supplies in sight. What followed was shock, improvisation, and a deeply personal reckoning with shame.

Later in life, visiting her family in Mali, she witnessed the practice of sending menstruating women to a designated “hut of rest”—a space meant for solitude but soaked in silence and stigma. It didn’t sit right. Instead of internalizing the shame, Assetou decided to talk about it—with friends, through art, and now, through BLEED. Her story is a reminder that cultural silence can be broken by creative resistance. The more we name it, the less power it holds.

When Pain Is Normalized—Until It’s Not

“I was put on the pill at 12. Nobody talked about it. I didn’t question it—I just knew the pain was unbearable. Now I wonder…what if someone had actually listened?”

In “From Penguin Walks to Purpose,” Saundra Pelletier reflects on a childhood shadowed by unbearable menstrual pain—so intense it affected how she walked, moved, and lived. The solution, according to her doctor, was birth control. At 12.

With no conversation about alternatives and no open dialogue with the women around her, Saundra stayed on hormonal birth control for years. Looking back, especially after facing a cancer diagnosis, she wonders: What if she’d known what was normal? What if her symptoms had been validated instead of managed in silence?

Today, Saundra is a global leader in reproductive health and the creator of a new form of birth control. Her story in BLEED underscores that empowerment begins with education—and that silence can have consequences.

Reconnecting with the Body Through Perimenopause

“To have a woman’s body felt shameful—unless it was sexualized. I didn’t see myself in any of it. So I left my body. I’m just now coming home.”

— Wendi Seskus-James, Content Manager at joni

Wendi Seskus-James’s story, “Coming Home,” is about something many of us never talk about: the long, slow process of reconciling with our bodies after years of disconnect.

As a highly sensitive person growing up in a culture that prized sexualized femininity and scorned periods as “gross,” Wendi internalized the belief that something about her was wrong. She felt shame not just about menstruation—but about embodiment itself. She coped by disconnecting.

Now in perimenopause, Wendi sees this transition not as an ending but a return. A soft, powerful reconnection. A homecoming. Writing her story for BLEED was an act of healing—for herself and, hopefully, for anyone else who’s been made to feel less-than because of their body.

From Lived Experience to Systemic Change

“I stood in food bank lines with my mom waiting for period products. at’s not just unfair—it’s unhealthy. And it’s unacceptable.”

— Linda Biggs, CEO and Co-Founder of joni

Linda Biggs knows what it’s like to go without. Her story is one of resourcefulness—but also of injustice. Makeshift pads made of toilet paper were a reality growing up. So were food bank visits for basic hygiene products.

As a mother now, she knows this isn’t just about dignity— it’s about health. That’s why she co-founded joni in 2020, creating access to safe, sustainable, and ethically made period care, while giving back to communities in need through donations and partnerships. BLEED was born from the stories she heard along the way— countless people sharing their period journeys, often

for the first time.

This book is her answer. A beautiful, unapologetic space to say: You’re not alone. You matter. And your story deserves to be told.

The Science of Story and Solidarity

There’s something alchemical that happens when we share our stories. Science tells us that storytelling— especially when met with empathy—can release oxytocin, the hormone that fosters connection and trust. It’s how we build bridges between individual experience and collective understanding. It’s how we begin to heal.

And this is the true power of BLEED.

In breaking the silence around menstruation, these stories do more than reflect pain, shame, or resilience— they create solidarity. They invite others to step forward, to say “me too,” to feel seen.

This is what happens when we talk.

This is what happens when we listen.

We stop hiding.

We start changing.

And together, we shape a new story—one of dignity, power, and unapologetic truth.

Linda Biggs, named one of Canada’s Top 25 Most Influential Women in 2023, is a visionary entrepreneur and brand builder dedicated to equity, innovation, and inclusive leadership. As co-founder and CEO of joni, she’s transforming menstrual care through sustainable products and tech-driven solutions that champion period equity across Canada.

RAISING CHILDREN WITH RESILIENT MINDS: PART 2

EXECUTIVE FUNCTION IN ACTION:

REAL-LIFE STRATEGIES FOR HOME AND SCHOOL

Executive Function Coach, Learning Support & Inclusion Teacher, and Mom Who’s Been There/Done That

Welcome back! If you’ve already read Part 1, featured in Issue 2 of 2025, you know a bit about what Executive Function (EF) skills are — and how they show up in daily life. Like when your child loses their shoes… that are on their feet. Or they burst into tears because their toast was gasp cut into triangles instead of squares.

You’re here because you need practical help. Not perfection. Not a parenting theory that sounds great until someone spills milk on the dog. Just doable, reallife strategies for real families — with real kids who sometimes yell, forget, melt down, or do all three before 8:00 a.m.

Let’s get into it.

1. The Morning Routine That Doesn’t Break Your Soul

Getting out the door shouldn’t feel like training for a triathlon — and yet, here we are.

Here’s what works:

• Same routine every day. Kids thrive on predictability. (Honestly? So do adults.)

• Visual checklists. Because “Put on your shoes!” 17 times is no one’s love language.

• Chunk it down. “Eat, dress, brush” = success. “Get ready” = panic.

• Use a timer. Let technology take the heat so you can sip your coffee hot, for once.

EF Tip: If your child can’t “just do it,” it’s not laziness — it’s brain wiring. Scaffolding isn’t spoiling. It’s support.

2. Homework Help, Hold the Drama

Homework after a long day? Sometimes it feels like trying to do your taxes during a fire drill.

If it turns into tears, flopping, or “my leg suddenly hurts,” it’s not rebellion — it’s your child’s brain saying, “This is too much for me right now.”

Try this instead:

• Start with connection. A snack + 2 minutes of chatting = calmer brain.

• Keep instructions sticky-note short. Anything longer gets lost in space.

• Use a timer to spark momentum. “Let’s work for 10 minutes, then take a break.”

• Praise the process. “You stuck with it!” avoid saying “You’re so smart!”

Parent-to-Parent: If your child suddenly forgets how to spell their name during math, you’re not alone. That’s “brain fatigue” — and it’s real.

3. Transitions Without Total Shut-Down

Some kids switch tasks like flipping a light switch. Others? More like rebooting an old laptop… during a thunderstorm.

Whether it’s leaving the park, turning off a screen, or moving from recess to reading, transitions are often the trickiest part of the day.

Why? Because transitions require flexible thinking and inhibitory control — both EF skills are still loading in many kids.

Transition Strategies:

• Countdowns: “5 more minutes, then we clean up.”

• Visual timers: Because it’s easier to argue with time than with you.

• Bridge the activity: “After cleanup, we’ll read your favourite book.”

• Practice calm scripts: “I’m upset, but I can handle it.” (Magic words.)

Witty Tip: Your child flipping out about leaving the playground isn’t a personality flaw. It’s a developing brain doing its clumsy best.

4. “Let’s Try That Again”: The Power of Do-Overs

Instead of jumping into a long lecture (been there), try offering a soft reset:

“ at didn’t go quite how we wanted. Let’s do a re-do?”

A “re-do” gives your child a second chance to practice the skill — not just recover from the mess.

Use Re-Do’s for:

• Blurted-out words

• Emotional exits

• Surprise shoe-throws (we see you)

Brain Bonus: Repetition grows neural pathways. Real change happens not in the heat of the meltdown, but in the calm that comes after.

Friendly Confession: Grown-ups need re-dos too. (Apologizing after yelling? That’s modeling emotional regulation. Gold star for you.)

5. When School Isn’t Built for Their Brain

Some kids breeze through school like ducks on water. Others? More like cats at a pool party.

EF challenges at school can show up as:

• Constant movement

• Calling out in class

• Missed instructions

• Big emotions over small bumps

What helps:

• Collaborate with teachers. Share what’s working at home — visuals, timers, movement breaks. (caution - schools are very different environments from home)

• Request EF-friendly supports. Extra time, flexible seating, reduced steps — these are tools, not crutches.

• Reframe behaviour. “She’s learning to wait” instead “She won’t stop interrupting.”

Parenting Tip: You’re not overreacting — you’re advocating. That’s not extra. That’s essential. (Caution: you catch more bees with honey instead of vinegar, work with the teacher not demand they do “xyz”)

Final Thoughts: You’re Doing Better Than You Think

Let’s keep it real: this work is messy, imperfect, sometimes infuriating — and absolutely worth it.

• If your child could:

• Remember their lunch

• Roll with change

• Stay calm during frustration... …they would.

Brains take time to build. Executive Function Skills take practice. Lots of it. And you — yes, you — are exactly the right person to guide them.

So here’s your permission slip to:

• Keep it simple

• Celebrate effort

• Take breaks

• Laugh when possible

• Cry when necessary

You’ve got this — even when it doesn’t feel like it.

And I’ve got your back.

Coming Soon in Part 3:

“My Kid Just Wants to Play Alone”: Executive Function and the Messy World of Friendship

• Why your child might struggle socially

• How rigid thinking shows up in play

• Scripts and strategies for building connection

FROM FILM SCHOOL DREAMS TO CHILDREN'S BOOKS: A

MOTHER-DAUGHTER JOURNEY AGAINST TIME

Once upon a time, there was a little nine-year-old girl named Doris Teresa Angelus. It was Great Britain in the 1930s, during the war, huddled underground with families listening to missiles overhead and the haunting sound of the doodlebugs hovering before demolishing total houses and towns. Most children were eventually shipped off to the countryside to stay safe, including my mother—Doris, as she was called until her early twenties when she changed to Teri. Hence, how we came up with our website; Teri Tales Productions.

Mom used to tell us all kinds of stories growing up that were so intriguing, and somewhat innocently mysterious. She described how things tasted, like the candies she used to savor, to big fluff y clouds and the brightest of rainbows on a grey rainy day. She gave us insight into her dark world and how she transformed it with her imagination to help her through the bad times.

The children were moved to the Lady Dewar's estate in the country (where Doris was one of nine evacuees).

Schooling was still implemented and they were taught by

the local nuns. In class she was often pulled up for daydreaming and looking outside at the willowy trees, pretending she'd been visited by fairies. When sister Miriam asked what was so interesting outside, young Teri—who saw fairies dancing on branches but dared not mention them—answered, "Angels outside in the tree!"

How a Hair-Brained Idea to Learn Screenwriting Became a Race Against Time to Honor My Mother's Legacy

Many years later, with a marriage on the brink and three kids, I was going through a divorce, and Mom had been living with us for twelve years in the basement. A new life for all of us was at hand when I came up with a hairbrained idea to go to writing school and write about my mom's life story. I wanted to write a book but didn't have the foggiest idea how. When Vancouver Film School offered the program as a grant, I decided to give myself a year to learn how to write a script. It was a year-long program with seven months of writing everything from journalism to sitcoms. All I wanted was to write this script, take it out to Hollywood North, and make a movie. Yeah, well, me and most of that school wanted the same thing. I was the oldest student there with three kids and a mom to take care of.

I'd left school at an early age to bring in money to help out, so my education wasn't on par with any of the other attendees. You could say I was in over my head—a sinkor-swim scenario. I worked weekends at a movie prop warehouse and did homework during breaks and after school. Thank goodness for my mom, who helped me out immensely. I used to say I was the husband and she was my wife with our setup, and it worked the best it could under the circumstances.

The time came to write our scripts. Everyone pitched their stories, then it was my turn. After not sticking to any guidelines due to stage fright and choking up, my idea of being a writer felt squashed before I'd even written anything. The panel looked at me like I hadn't learned a thing in those seven months.

So You Think You Can Write a Hollywood Movie?

My assessment: my idea was too Hollywood, and why did I think I could handle something so big? I'd bitten off more than I could chew, but in my defense, that's why I was there!

"Doris Angelus and The Land of Angels" was about to get chopped and dissected like a frog in a science lab. I don't know if you've ever had your writing edited, but if you're paying for an editor when writing your first book, get prepared to "murder your baby"—that's a film school

term. My emotional attachment went from "that's not so bad for a first attempt" to being completely devastated when my tutor said, "Kill her off. No need for a happy ending." This really upset Mom, as she had always written "Never The End" at the end of her stories—she loved a good happy ending.

After graduating with a B, I chose a profession in the movie industry. I'd never been a set decorator or prop master's assistant, but I was willing to learn and was noticed for my work ethic. I became Vancouver's very first female grip because if you were willing to work hard at all hours and didn't need a life, this was the right job. I worked for a very gruff, charming character named Swanea, and I'm proud that he later hired many more women because of his experience with me. I wish I had been as noticed in film school.

It was now time to get started on Mom's manuscripts. I sat up after work many nights typing up her unpublished stories, trying to choose the right one. I knew she kept many stories in a big old book, most typed on an old typewriter using onion paper, but this was really overwhelming, trying to figure out which one to share with the world.

A friend had a bunny rescue and lived the real-life story, so we scrapped all the other stories as this one felt most authentic with many bizarre circumstances—perfect for our first book attempt.

As I mentioned in my first article, writing is a money pit,

and you need to be prepared to promote it heavily, or it will just become that shoebox in the cupboard under many more boxes, along with a very damaged ego.

I was dealing with a burning building situation. Mom was diagnosed with stage four cancer, and everything needed attention ASAP. I became Creative Director and co-author on "What if Bunny Poo Was Square?", working on all aspects of self-publishing while racing against time. And I didn't have a clue what I was doing! This wasn't a script per se—it was a 29-page children's book with front and back covers required. To say I was probably bald at the temples at the end of this project is an understatement. But I have yet another achievement under my belt that I'd never done before.

Our journey ended up just like my teacher thought best in the script, but Mom at least got her fairytale ending that my husband and I made sure of. She had a book in her hands and twenty extra months to do book signings, podcasts, and local TV interviews. At 89 years young, she attended events at Indigo wearing shocking pink wigs, tutus, and unicorn hats. She was the star of every show, and I couldn't have asked for anything more—except more time.

If I can share a few things to help others, really do your research on who you bring on board. Get samples of illustrations and never trust "a friend of a friend who says they have a friend"—I think you get my drift! I had a little buddy in India who helped with our coloring and activity book who to this day is still there for me, but that was the exception.

We all have a story in us, and some people do make the big time. But be prepared when you endeavor to become an author—you need to be able to spend a pretty penny and be prepared for many disappointments. Having money for your hobby, project, or passion of a lifetime is key for selfpublishing.

My encouraging last words: never give up, don't lose your passion, and here's a biggie—don't procrastinate. If you believe in yourself, go for it! You'll get a gazillion nos, but it's never the end until you say so. Start this as a hobby, do your research on costs and how to promote and market yourself. Maybe, just maybe, you'll find an agent and Bob's your uncle!

But sometimes the best stories aren't the ones we plan to write—they're the ones we live. Mom spent her life turning darkness into light with nothing but an old typewriter and boundless imagination. She saw angels where others saw trees, found stories in everyday chaos, and never stopped believing in happy endings.

Our children's book gave us something more valuable than fame or fortune—it gave us time. Time for Mom to see her dreams realized, time for shared laughter at book signings, time for one more magical Christmas with grandchildren singing along to 1920s records.

Never The End...

UNLOCKING YOUR BLUEPRINT FOR SUCCESS: REDISCOVERING THE TRUE ESSENCE OF YOU

Have you ever had a moment of clarity, a flash of insight that whispered, “You were meant for something more”? That gentle nudge from within is no accident. It’s a call from the deepest part of your being, the part that knows your true potential. You see, your blueprint for success was written long before you arrived on this planet.

It’s woven into the very fabric of your existence, patiently waiting for you to awaken to its power.

Yet, for many, this divine blueprint becomes buried beneath layers of self-doubt, fear, and the limiting beliefs we collect over a lifetime. These beliefs, often unconscious, can act like invisible barriers, holding us back from the greatness we were born to achieve. The good news? These barriers are not permanent. They’re just beliefs, and beliefs are nothing more than repeated thoughts. Once you understand this, you hold the key to breaking free and unlocking the life you were always meant to live.

The Power of Belief

Let’s start with a fundamental truth: your mind is a powerful architect. It’s constantly shaping your reality, responding to the thoughts you think and the stories you tell yourself. The beliefs you hold form the foundation of this reality, influencing your actions, reactions, and ultimately, your results.

Consider this for a moment: every extraordinary innovator, leader, and trailblazer you admire didn’t simply stumble into success. They tapped into their true essence, shedding layers of doubt and fear, and aligned their actions with the limitless potential they knew existed within them.

They rewrote the script of their lives, choosing to see themselves not as defined by their past, yet as architects of their future.

Rewriting the Script

If beliefs are just thoughts we keep thinking, then what happens when we consciously choose to think differently? Imagine for a moment that your mind is a garden. For years, you may have unknowingly planted the seeds of doubt, fear, and limitation. “I’m not good enough.” “Success is for others, not me.” “I don’t have what it takes.” Over time, these seeds grow into deep-rooted weeds, choking out the vibrant potential of your true self. Yet, when you begin to recognize these selflimiting beliefs for what they are – stories, not facts – you take the first step toward pulling them up by the roots. This isn’t just wishful thinking. It’s a scientifically supported phenomenon known as neuroplasticity. Your brain can literally rewire itself, creating new pathways for positive thoughts, empowering beliefs, and limitless possibilities.

The True Essence of You

So, how do you reconnect with this true essence? It starts by quieting the noise of the world around you, silencing the inner critic, and tuning into the whispers of your soul. This isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about peeling away the layers of fear, doubt, and social conditioning that have masked your true nature.

One powerful way to do this is through Time Line Therapy®, a transformative process that allows you to release the limiting beliefs and emotional baggage you may have carried for years. Unlike traditional talk therapy, which can sometimes feel like endless circles around the same issues, Time Line Therapy® cuts straight to the root of the problem, dissolving it at the source.

Breaking Free from the Past

Imagine for a moment that your life is a road trip. The rearview mirror is your past – a reflection of all the experiences, challenges, and lessons you’ve encountered. For many, this rearview mirror becomes the focus, pulling their attention away from the vast, open road ahead. They find themselves stuck in old patterns, repeating the same mistakes, and wondering why they can’t break free.

Time Line Therapy® allows you to cut the energetic cords to past pain and limiting beliefs, freeing you to live in the present and move forward into a brighter, more empowered future. It’s about reclaiming your narrative, not just on a conscious level yet deep within the Unconscious Mind, where real, lasting change happens.

The Path to MagnifESSENCE

When you begin to clear these mental and

emotional blocks, something magical happens –you reconnect with your true self, the version of you that is courageous, powerful, and limitless. This is the essence that knows your success was written long before you arrived.

From this place of clarity and alignment, you no longer second-guess your dreams or shrink in the face of challenges. Instead, you stand tall, guided by the inner knowing that the universe is constantly conspiring in your favor. You become a magnet for the people, opportunities, and resources that will propel you toward your highest potential.

A Call to Greatness

This journey isn’t just about personal success. It’s about becoming the kind of leader, innovator, and change-maker the world needs right now. When you shine, you light the way for others to do the same. You become a living testament to the power of self-mastery, a beacon of possibility in a world often clouded by doubt and fear.

So, if you’re ready to step into your true

MagnifESSENCE, to rewrite the story of your life and awaken the power within you, consider this your invitation. Don’t just dream of success –embody it. Don’t just hope for change – become it.

Take the Next Step

If this message resonates with you, if you feel the call to break free from the limiting beliefs that have held you back, I invite you to explore Time Line Therapy®. It’s time to clear the path, align with your true essence, and step into the extraordinary life you were always meant to live. Reach out today, and let’s ignite the fire of your potential.

You are not broken. You are becoming.

FROM TAILORING TO LUXURY: MICHAEL ON BUILDING AND EVOLVING TWO BESPOKE BRANDS

Running a single business is challenging, but managing two companies that operate in similar markets yet target distinct audiences requires vision, strategy, and a deep understanding of branding.

Michael, the entrepreneur behind Sin City Custom Suits and the newly launched VonSteffen Clothiers, shares insights on growing a business, evolving a brand, and navigating the demands of the luxury menswear market.

1. Defining the Identity of Each Brand

“Sin City Custom Suits and VonSteffen Clothiers may both focus on menswear, but they serve different clients and experiences,” Michael explains. Sin City Custom Suits is known for personalized, story-driven suits that celebrate individuality and connection with each client. VonSteffen, on the other hand, is positioned as a high-end luxury bespoke brand, catering to clients seeking elite craftsmanship, premium fabrics, and a sophisticated, elevated experience.

“Luxury isn’t just about price or materials—it’s about experience, detail, and exclusivity,” Michael says. Ensuring each brand maintains a distinct identity is critical for growth and for preventing brand overlap or confusion.

2. Learning from One Business to Elevate Another

Michael’s experience building Sin City Custom Suits laid the

groundwork for VonSteffen Clothiers. “The first business taught me the importance of client relationships, operational efficiency, and attention to detail,” he shares. Those lessons allowed him to launch VonSteffen at a higher standard from day one.

For VonSteffen, Michael focused on sourcing exclusive fabrics, refining tailoring techniques, and creating an elevated in-store experience—building on the strengths of Sin City Custom Suits while positioning VonSteffen at the luxury apex of the menswear market.

3. Targeting Distinct Audiences Without Competing With Yourself

One of the challenges of running two related businesses is making sure they complement rather than compete with each other. Michael emphasizes understanding your client base: “Sin City clients want a deeply personal suit, often for

events or personal milestones. VonSteffen clients are seeking the ultimate luxury experience—something unique, timeless, and meticulously crafted.”

By differentiating the audiences, Michael ensures that each brand thrives without cannibalizing the other. He encourages entrepreneurs to identify the unique value proposition of each business and design marketing, services, and experiences that cater to those distinctions.

4. The Role of Team and Delegation

“No matter how experienced you are, you can’t run two businesses alone,” Michael notes. Both brands have carefully selected teams who share the vision and can uphold the standards of their respective companies.

“Delegating responsibility to trusted leaders allows me to focus on strategy, expansion, and the creative elements that define each brand,” he says. In luxury markets, where service quality is paramount, having a team aligned with the brand’s DNA is essential.

5. Balancing Innovation and Tradition

VonSteffen Clothiers represents the fusion of traditional bespoke tailoring with modern luxury expectations. Michael explains that evolving a brand doesn’t mean abandoning its heritage. He introduced innovations like digital design consultations, virtual fabric previews, and optional monogramming to elevate client experience while staying true to the craftsmanship that defines bespoke tailoring.

“Luxury clients expect refinement, attention to detail, and personalized options. Innovation should enhance these elements, not overshadow them,” he says.

6. Strategic Investment and Brand Expansion

Managing two brands also requires careful financial planning. Michael treats each business as its own ecosystem, strategically investing in areas that will elevate the brand and provide tangible client value.

“For VonSteffen, this meant investing in ultra-premium

fabrics, high-end showrooms, and bespoke marketing strategies,” he explains. “Every investment is made with the luxury client experience in mind.”

7. Maintaining a Long-Term Vision

Above all, Michael emphasizes vision. “Luxury is about legacy. Both Sin City Custom Suits and VonSteffen Clothiers reflect a commitment to craftsmanship, client experience, and attention to detail,” he says. Every decision—from hiring, to product design, to customer service—is made with longterm impact in mind.

Conclusion: Lessons for Entrepreneurs

Michael’s journey demonstrates that running multiple brands successfully requires:

• Clear brand distinction: Know who each company serves and how it fits into the market.

• Applying learned insights: Use experience from one venture to elevate the next.

• Team trust and delegation: Empower capable leaders to maintain standards.

• Innovation that respects heritage: Enhance, don’t dilute, the luxury experience.

• Strategic investments and long-term vision: Every move should strengthen the brand’s position and legacy.

For entrepreneurs considering similar paths, Michael’s advice is clear: Elevate your brand intentionally, understand your audience deeply, and never compromise on quality or experience. For him, running two complementary yet distinct companies is not just a business strategy—it’s a way to redefine what luxury bespoke menswear can be.

IT’S NOT ABOUT CHATGPT. IT’S ABOUT CLARITY.

Every few months, the conversation about AI reignites. And lately? It's gotten louder. You’ve seen the posts:

“ChatGPT is ruining creativity.”

“AI can’t replace your voice.”

“If you're using bots, you're lazy.”

It's the same story, wrapped in moral panic. And while I get the instinct to protect human touch in marketing (it's what built my business in the first place), I’m not here to argue for or against AI.

I’m here to tell you the real problem isn’t AI.

It’s that most people are trying to use generic tools to solve specific problems.

Because tools like ChatGPT aren’t the problem.

Misuse is.

Let me explain.

Over the past 5 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of founders, coaches, creatives, service providers, who weren’t struggling because they lacked talent.

They were struggling because they were:

• Spending hours writing content they weren’t sure would land

• Constantly second-guessing their messaging

• Launching without a clear offer or audience strategy

It wasn’t a skill gap. It was a clarity gap.

They didn’t need another freebie. They didn’t need another shiny platform. They needed a framework. A system to turn

ideas into strategy.

So that’s what I built.

The AI Growth Team™ is not a ChatGPT shortcut. It’s a trained system designed to bring clarity and implementation together.

It doesn’t just sound like you, it thinks like a marketer.

It doesn’t just write content, it builds belief.

It doesn’t just summarize what you’ve already said, it pulls out what you haven’t said yet, but need to.

You don’t need “better tools.” You need better thinking behind the tools.

Most business owners are spinning their wheels with AI because they’re hoping it’ll replace what they haven’t defined. But if you haven’t clarified your offer, your messaging, your strategy, no tool will fix that.

Here’s what actually works:

1. Define your Dream Client in psychographic detail.

2. Clarify the real transformation your offer delivers.

3. Build messaging systems that scale with you, not overwhelm you.

4. Train AI to support that system, not replace your brain, but extend your brilliance.

That’s what we do inside the AI Growth Team™.

When my clients plug in their brand voice, their strategy, their goals, they’re not just "using AI." They’re scaling with clarity.

They're:

• Mapping out launches in minutes

• Writing emails that convert
