It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Sardar Ajmer Singh Cheema on November 22, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Ajmer, son of Chand Kaur, and Surjan Singh was born on June 16, 1932 in Mehal Kalan, Punjab. He immigrated to Mission, British Columbia in 1967, leaving behind a legacy. Ajmer's journey from Punjab to Canada marked the beginning of anextraordinary life filled with hard work and dedication. Initially working as an employee in the lumber mills, his determination and entrepreneurship led him to own a lumber mill in the 1980’s. Ajmer's passion for farming flourished in Abbotsford, BC, where he purchased his first farm 36 years ago, creating a nurturing home for his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ajmer's life was a testament to his sincere, loving, and honest nature. He was a pillar of strength, ensuring the Cheema family remained tightly bonded while supporting numerous immigrants with their journey to Canada. His community admired him as a respected role model who overcame adversity with grace and resilience. Survived by his beloved wife, Dalip Kaur Cheema, Ajmer's legacy continues through his children: son, Gord (Harjit), daughters: Rupinder (Zorawar), Daljit (Inderjit), Kuldip (Balprit). Ajmer was a cherished sibling to three brothers and three sisters and a proud grandfather to12 grandchildren: Elicia (Jason), Arjan, Brandon, Kaman (Jagroop), Bhawan (Raman), Hartaj, Gurvina (Shaun), Simrina (Tadas), Gobind, Prabh (Saman), Jivan, and Ajeet. His joy was multiplied with five great-grandchildren: Noah, Kabir, Ezra, Harper, and Avery. Funeral services will be held at Fraser River Funeral Home at 11:30 AM on December 2, 2023, followed by a prayer at the Mission Sikh Temple. The Cheema family extends their heartfelt gratitude to long-time family friend Sunny Sidhu and the staff at Abbotsford Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care. Ajmer's life was a journey of love, modesty, resilience, and community spirit. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a guiding light in the lives he touched.

What might have seemed openness over the last year in your dealings with others could now become more secretive during the next year. Be mindful of any change of mind or agreement on their part over the next week – it could be their way of rebelling. Coupled with this can be an expectation that you take responsibility.

A much better time when it comes to interaction with others will begin to take shape now and continue for a year. If you have been in a situation of not knowing exactly where you stand over the last year, it will now change. You may have been appreciated more than you realised. Stay focussed on health and fitness for now.

You have had plenty of opportunity to generally enjoy yourself over the last year. You might now need to consider how this has impacted on your health and fitness. You will gain weight easily over the next year, so be mindful of that now. It will be difficult to get the recognition you think you deserve for your efforts as well.

Efforts you have taken to establish a good foundation or to put matters in place over the last year now move onto a phase that will feel more fortunate and easier to navigate over the next year. Don’t be too concerned about pressure being applied at the moment. You should be able to generate alternative ways around it.

Life has likely been full of distractions of one sort or another over the last year. It has also been a good time to think about life and gather information on anything you would like to pursue. Now you are entering a cycle for the next year where you need to get some sort of order in place so that you establish a solid foundation.

Hopefully you have made extra money over the last year and not gone overboard with spending. A busy cycle will now begin and continue for the next year. It is an excellent time to take up any study or to seek out information on anything you would like to do long term. It is also a great year for travelling or a change of pace.

Jupiter is now moving on from your sign, where it has been since September 2016. Right now you can be in awe of just how much change has taken place. Your focus for the next year will be your finances. This can bring the opportunity to generate a greater income but it may also encourage you to overspend or overcommit.

Jupiter, the planet of expansion moves into your sign, where it will stay until 8th November 2018. This will end the holding back feeling you have had to endure for the last year and should give a greater sense of personal freedom when it comes to choices you want to make. The one thing you will need to watch is weight gain.

You are entering a cycle for the next year that will have a holding back feeling or generate situations that produce no clear outcome and require you to wait for matters to sort themselves out. You have had some practice in being patient since 2015 when Saturn entered your sign. Obviously life thinks you need one last dose.

There has likely been a lot more to handle in the last year than you would have chosen. As a result, you can look at what should be your priorities quite differently over the next year. There is more significant change to come in December. You need to be thinking of yourself and how situations in life impact upon you.

You have been encouraged to look at longterm goals over the last year and what you really want from the future. Over the next year you will need to commit yourself in some way. Responsibilities or commitments could easily get out of hand so ensure you go into any situation with this in mind so that you can keep control.

A sense of being set free from the expectations of others can be your experience now and over the next year. There is probably a lot you have learned about the true desires or intentions of others in the last year. This experience could encourage you to look at what you want from your future from a different perspective.

Adah wants people to keep guessing Sanya Recently, there were rumours about actor Adah Sharma buying late-actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s house in Mumbai. Addressing the reports, she says, “My house is my temple, I wouldn’t want every tabloid and phone splashing things about where I am living. I have always lived in Pallai in my father’s house, since childhood,” adding, “Even if I decide to move, this is not how I am going to announce the news. I would like to share it in my own way. Where you live, your house, your home, is something very personal to me. Let people keep guessing, I will take my time to confirm the reports. Right now, my focus is to live in people’s hearts, and even in the future.” Do these rumours and reports bother her or ever feel too much intruding? “I have a personal choice to share with everyone. I can tell my fans whenever I want. I don’t feel uncomfortable due to any rumours. The rumours and everything is a part of my life as an actor. I don’t take it as a privacy invasion or anything, of course fans hain toh unhe jaanne ki utsukta hoti hogi. They want to know our favourite colour, food, etc,” the 31-year-old said.

Big B chronicles showbiz evolution

Amitabh Bachchan, who is in the showbiz for over five decades, shared about the transformations he has observed in the film industry over the years, adding how the number of women have increased on the sets. In the episode 75 of the quiz based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati season 15, a contestant asked Big B: “Sir, I have a question. You have been working in the Indian film industry since 1970. I want you to tell me about the transformations in the film industry since you started working, in every way.” Replying to him, the 81- year-old actor shared: “Another gentleman-director Shekhar Kapur asked me the same question many years ago when I was busy shooting. People were busy with their work on the set. I said ‘look at him. The one who is handling the lights.’ Shekhar said, ‘I can see him.’ I said, ‘what is he wearing?’. He said, ‘he is wearing jeans and sneakers’. I said, ‘sir, this is the change.’ Back then, these people wore a pair of tattered pyjamas and

rubber slippers to work but we have progressed since then, and they are now wearing jeans. Sir, this is the change in our film industry. Labours benefited.” He further shared: “Secondly, the number of women on set increased. Mostly, our crew comprises 50 percent women at least. They are in charge of departments which you can’t even imagine. They do all kinds of work. They handle production, direction and set designing.” “Back in the day, only two women used to be present. The leading lady and her mother. That’s it. The mothers came to look after their daughters.,” said the actor. He added: “There have been changes, technically as well. Earlier, celluloid films were used but now a chip is used.”

Shraddha aspires to reach for the ‘stars’ Shraddha Kapoor recently shared her profound perspective on life in an exclusive interview for a prominent magazine, giving a glimpse into the essence of her journey. Her Instagram bio encapsulates the ethos of her life, “Living the dream.” Intriguing, aspirational, and loaded with significance, this phrase has sparked curiosity among her admirers. When questioned about the meaning behind these words and how she stays committed to her dream, Kapoor responded with a quiet profundity that reflects her persona. Shraddha said, “Living the dream is, simply put, my everyday life. It is me living my life exactly the way I want to. I embody my fearlessness very lightly, very softly.” She continued: “My dream—that I am unfolding every day—is to continue maximizing my fullest potential as a human being. My dream has actually been consistent since I was a little girl— I want to reach for the stars with my feet on the ground. And I live this every day, thanks to my humble family for bringing me up in the most simple way.” On the film front, after the success of her last film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Shraddha Kapoor is all set to dazzle audiences once again in the highly anticipated sequel of Stree.

Malhotra for worklife balance

After a hectic last year, Sanya Malhotra has been taking it slow when it comes to her work schedule, and the actor admits that it was a conscious decision to enjoy all her releases this year, saying it is her way to create a balance between her personal and work life. Last year, the actor shot back to back for her projects without taking a break, missing a lot of personal events in her life. “At the moment, my career is going really well, and my personal life is also amazing. That’s because I have a very solid system supporting me. While last year was more about back to back work, this year, I intentionally wanted to sit back and enjoy all the releases,” says the Dangal actress. The 31year-old adds, “I have got wonderful responses for Kathal and Jawan, and am looking forward to my other releases this year. I feel very lucky because I have some really amazing projects in my kitty and opportunities.” She asserts that disconnecting from the glamour world is crucial for her. “It is very important for you to stay grounded and to be authentic to yourself as an actor. Because we get much attention and love as actors. But neeche bhi aana padta hai, and my family does a very good job in that. Mujhe zyada udne nahi dete,” she ends.

‘I’m not a superstar’

Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, which was released November 12, has been doing well at the box office. In a recent interview, the actor talked about his ‘superstar tag’. When asked what his feelings were about being called a ‘superstar’, Salman said ‘nothing about him is superstarry’. He added he has ‘never felt like a superstar, ever.’ Salman Khan told the portal, “I have never felt that way. I have never felt like a superstar ever. My habits are not that of a superstar. The way I travel, the way I dress, there is nothing I do that speaks superstar. My mind is not tuned that way. Nothing about me is a n y superstarry. Nothing at all.

I don't think Salman Khan is a superstar. I have never felt it. I am just happy to wake up in the morning, have my coffee and start my day. I just want to give my best.” Salman is often spotted in casual outfits at Bollywood parties as well as red carpet events. Earlier this month, he attended various Diwali bashes and stood out in his basic denim looks.
