Interiorwise,surprisinglythatsleek arcingrooflinedoesnotcompromise headroomtoomuch.ThenewMuranoiswiderthanbefore,whichmeans ashademorehip-andshoulderroom.

The front cabin has a dash design similartotheNissanAriyaEV,with afauxwoodpanel, capacitiveclimate controls and an upscale feel with leatherandplentyofsoft-touchsurfaces. tad firmer handling. Eco offers a slighter damped down performance with slightly better fuel efficiency. Overall roll stiffness is up 25.5 percent in front, 24.5 percent rear, and new frequency-selective dampers helpsmoothoutroughersurfaces.

Downsides are few for the Murano no hybrid or all-electric version for now although a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain is slated for next year. It is expensive and might makeyouwanttoconsiderthepricier Nissan Ariya EV if you want to go that route, or on the flip side - the slightlylesspremiumNissanRogue is an alternative if there are budget considerations.

To sum up the new Murano is a big improvement on the older generationsofthispopularSUV.Itcertainly looks fantastically upscale than the model it replaces. Key attributes include the fine family hauling capability that can be outfitted from a decentstandardbasespecalltheway to the Platinum models uber luxury spec, brimming with high technology and safety. Province takes energy action to electrify economy, increase resilience

The Province, in partnership with BC Hydro, is launching an ambitious plan to harness British Columbia’s clean-electricity advantage, driving economic growth and transformative change, strengtheningenergysecurity andadvancingclimateaction.

“With this work, we are securing our energyandoureconomyforthefuture by expanding one of our greatest assets: abundant clean electricity,” said PremierDavidEby.“Weareboosting ourclean-energysupply,poweringour growing communities and industries, and creating thousands of familysupporting jobs–allwhileadvancing reconciliationandreducingpollution. B.C. tests emergency alerts to cellphones, TV, radio

To improve public safety in the event of an emergency, a test of the B.C. EmergencyAlert system willoccurat1:55p.m.(Pacifictime)onWednesday, May 7, 2025, as part of Emergency Preparedness Week.

The test alert will be sent to all compatible cellphones, and will interrupt radio and television broadcasts. The test message to cellphones will read:“ThisisaTESToftheB.C.EmergencyAlert system. This is ONLY a TEST. In an emergency, thismessagewouldtellyouwhattodotostaysafe. This information could save your life. Click for more info: www.emergencyinfobc.ca/test. This is ONLYaTEST.Noactionisrequired.”

This test, by the National PublicAlerting System, will assess the system’s readiness for an actual emergencyandidentifyanyrequiredadjustments.

TheB.C.EmergencyAlertsystemwaslaunchedon April6,2018, andis testedtwice a year,in spring and fall. Recognizing the importance of this tool, theProvinceexpandedtheuseofB.C.Emergency Alerts in 2022 beyond tsunami warnings to also includeimminentthreatsfromfloods, wildfiresand extreme-heatemergencies.

Last year, the federal government launched the earthquake early-warning system in British Columbia. If the threshold is met, this system will automatically issue an intrusive alert message to cellphonesinareasexpectedtobeaffected, before strongshakingis felt. This alertmessage provides precious seconds of warning for people to better protectthemselvesandothers.

EnvironmentandClimateChangeCanada(ECCC) is responsible for sending intrusive alerts to cellphones for tornados, hurricanes, severe thunderstorms and storms surges. Police are responsible foralertsforcivilemergenciesandAmberAlerts.

Duringthe2023and2024wildfireseasons,tensof thousandsofpeoplewereaskedtoevacuateonshort noticeduetothethreatofwildfires.B.C.Emergency Alertswereanimportanttooltoprovidepeoplewith timely,life-savinginformation.
