She was following in fine footsteps too; in the film version Deena was played by Beyoncé.

Cregan & Co. returned to The Stables at Wavendon to promote their new album, Spreading Rumours, and the band were met by an enthusiastic audience, including Jim Cregan’s longtime music collaborator, Rod Stewart.

Earlier this month, Her Majesty the Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee – marking 70 decades of service. In Newport Pagnell, the mysterious – and ridiculously talented – Knitting Nana produced a wonderfully woolly tribute. She also celebrated the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch by making a whole host of chirpy types.
