Milton Keynes actress and singer Natalie Kassanga wowed on the MK Theatre stage with a starring role in Dreamgirls, playing the role of Deena Jones. She was following in fine footsteps too; in the film version Deena was played by Beyoncé.

It’s a busy time in politics, but Prime Minister Boris Johnson still managed a recent visit to MKUH for a tour of the hospital, and to learn more about the robotics technology being trialled at the site.

Cregan & Co. returned to The Stables at Wavendon to promote their new album, Spreading Rumours, and the band were met by an enthusiastic audience, including Jim Cregan’s longtime music collaborator, Rod Stewart.

We stay with The Stables, which also hosted a performance from Madness frontman Suggs, who brought his show A Life in the Realm of Madness to town earlier this month. Another familiar face was in the house for that date – ‘Modfather’ Paul Weller was spied in the audience.

Spring is edging closer, although you don’t need to wait for encouraging signs. These snowdrops were pictured in Campbell Park, welcoming walkers with their beautifully delicate flowers. Warmer times are coming! Earlier this month, Her Majesty the Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee – marking 70 decades of service. In Newport Pagnell, the mysterious – and ridiculously talented – Knitting Nana produced a wonderfully woolly tribute. She also celebrated the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch by making a whole host of chirpy types.
