ntre las muchas cosas positivas que han sucedido alrededor de Puerto Portals este año que estamos a punto de despedir, sin duda la nueva concesión firmada con el Govern Balear para los próximos 35 años es una de las noticias más importantes. No es sencillo encontrar las palabras para expresar la profunda alegría que

nter den vielen positiven Dingen, die sich in diesem, sich dem Ende zuneigenden Jahr rund um Puerto Portals ereignet haben, ist die Unterzeichnung der Überlassung der Nutzungsrechte für den Hafen für weitere 35 Jahre durch die Regierung der Balearen zweifelsohne eine der wichtigsten Nachrichten. Es ist schwer, die richtigen Worte zu finden, um

todos sentimos por este hecho. Particularmente siento una responsabilidad grande y hermosa, y es inevitable volver la vista atrás y recordar los inicios del puerto, la construcción y la primera concesión otorgada a principios de la década de los ochenta con mis padres, Klaus y Margarita, al frente de la marina. Dentro de los acuerdos alcanzados, está previsto que durante los próximos tres años llevemos a cabo una remodelación, desarrollo y mejoras de las actuales infraestructuras. Entre otras acciones, reforzaremos la escollera y mejoraremos los pantalanes; remodelaremos la Torre de Capitanía, la estación de servicio, el mobiliario urbano y la fibra óptica; crearemos una nueva zona para uso comercial y oficinas; y nos involucraremos especialmente con mejoras en cuanto a la eficiencia energética, el medioambiente y la sostenibilidad, optimizando el aislamiento térmico de los edificios, instalando puntos de carga para vehículos eléctricos, iluminación LED, instalación de puntos de reciclaje y renovación de maquinaria de menor consumo, entre otras acciones que en ningún caso interrumpirán el habitual funcionamiento del puerto. Miramos al pasado con agradecimiento y orgullo, y vivimos el presente plenamente centrados en nuestro trabajo con el deseo de que Puerto Portals siga siendo en el futuro un referente para todo el mundo.

In particular, I feel a great and wondrous responsibility, because it is inevitable that we look back and remember the port’s beginnings, the construction and first concession granted in the early ‘eighties when my parents, Klaus and Margarita, were in charge of the marina. As part of the agreements reached, over the next three years we plan to embark on a restructuring project, developing and improving our current infrastructures. Amongst other actions, we will be reinforcing the breakwater and improving the jetties; the Captaincy Tower will be refurbished, as will the service station, the urban furnishings and the optic fibre; we will create a new area for commercial usage and offices; and in particular we will busy ourselves with improvements regarding energy efficiency, the environment and sustainability, optimising the thermal insulation of the buildings, installing points for electric vehicles, LED lighting, installing recycling points and renovating lower-consumption machinery, among other actions which will in no way interrupt the port’s day-to-day operations. We look back to the past with gratitude and pride, and live out the present fully focussed on our work with the hope that Puerto Portals will continue to be a beacon for the entire world in the future. Ihnen unsere tiefempfundene Freude darüber auszudrücken. Ich persönlich empfinde dies als große und wunderbare Verantwortung. In diesem Sinne ist es unvermeidlich, zurückzublicken auf die Anfänge des Hafens, den Bau, die erste Konzession, die meine Eltern Klaus und Margarita Anfang der achtziger Jahre für den Hafen erhielten. Im Rahmen der Nutzungsvereinbarung werden wir in den kommenden drei Jahren eine umfassende Umgestaltung und Erneuerung der Infrastruktur und Hafenanlagen vornehmen. So werden unter anderem Hafenmole und Wellenbrecher verstärkt, die Kais ausgebaut, der Turm des Hafenamtes, der Serviceterminal und das öffentliche Mobiliar modernisiert und Glasfaserkabel verlegt. Darüber hinaus entsteht ein neuer Geschäfts- und Bürobereich und wir werden uns ganz besonders für Verbesserungen bei Energieeffizienz, Umweltschutz und Nachhaltigkeit einsetzen und zwar ganz konkret durch optimale Wärmedämmung der Gebäude, die Aufstellung von Ladestationen für Elektroautos, die Installierung von LED-Leuchten und Recycle-Punkten sowie die Erneuerung des Maschinenparks mit energiesparenden Modellen. In keinem Fall wird dadurch der normale Betriebsablauf im Hafen beeinträchtigt. Dankbar und stolz schauen wir auf die Vergangenheit und leben die Gegenwart, indem wir das Beste in unserer täglichen Arbeit geben. Wir hoffen, dass Puerto Portals auch künftig eine der renommiertesten internationalen Adressen bleibt.

Bei der siebten Ausgabe in diesem Jahr können Einheimische und Touristen erneut echte mitteleuropäische Weihnachtsstimmung genießen: weihnachtliche

If visiting the Puerto Portals Christmas Market leaves you wanting more, and you have the chance to travel to other European countries, the most highly recommended markets are those of Vienna, opposite the city hall or in front of the Schönbrunn palace; the Hamburg market with its Santa Clause flying above the city hall and the Christmas parade; the two kilometres of market in Brussels, with its enormous decorated tree with lights in the Grand Place; the more than 50 huts in the snow in Tallin; the artisans of Skansen, in Stockholm; and in Prague, the markets in the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. RESTAURANTE: Diablito. RECETA: Linguini con setas de temporada, espárragos, hierbas frescas y queso feta. Saltear el ajo, añadir y pochar la cebolla, añadir las setas y el aceite de espinacas, después la pasta, el queso feta, las hierbas frescas, el tomate cherry, la sal, la pimienta, el perejil y, por último, los germinados. RESTAURANT: Diablito. RECIPE: Linguini with seasonal wild mushrooms, asparagus, fresh herbs and feta cheese. Sauté the garlic, add and poach onion, add the wild mushrooms and the spinach oil, and then the pasta, the feta cheese, fresh herbs, cherry tomato, salt, pepper, parsley and finally, the sprouts. RESTAURANT: Diablito. REZEPT: Linguini mit Pilzen der Saison, Spargel, frischen Kräutern und Feta-Käse. Den Knoblauch sautieren, pochierte Zwiebel, Pilze und Spinatöl zufügen, danach Pasta, Feta-Käse, frische Kräuter, Cherry-Tomaten, Salz, Pfeffer, Petersilie und zuletzt die Sprossen zugeben. Para el curry hervir pimiento rojo, pimiento verde y tomate, y triturar. Añadir el curry, cilantro, comino, fenogreco y las gambas. Servir en plato hondo con una cucharada y media de yogur natural y decorar con cardamomo y chili rojo. RESTAURANT: Cappuccino Grand Café. RECIPE: Prawn curry with basmati rice. Macerate the prawns in garlic, ginger and salt for 24 hrs. Cook 120g of basmati rice. For the curry, boil red and green pepper and tomato and blend. Add the curry, coriander, cumin, fenugreek and prawns. Serve on a deep dish with one and a half spoonfuls of plain yoghurt and decorate with cardamom and red chili. RESTAURANT: Cappuccino Grand Café. REZEPT: Krabben-Curry an Basmati-Reis. Die Krabben 24h in Knoblauch, Ingwer und Salz einlegen. 120g Basmati-Reis kochen. Für das Curry rote und grüne Paprikaschoten mit Tomaten kochen und im Mixer zerkleinern, dann Curry, Koriander, Kümmel, Bockshornklee und Krabben zufügen. Auf einem tiefen Teller mit anderthalb Esslöffeln Naturjoghurt anrichten und mit Kardamom und rotem Chilli garnieren. PUERTO 16 PORTALS

RESTAURANTE: Wellies Restaurant. RECETA: Merluza negra de la Patagonia con quinoa y lima. Cocer la quinoa en fumet con laurel y ajo. Dejar reposar. Marcar la merluza en la plancha. Añadir ajo, jengibre picado, verduras brunoise y piel de lima. Agregar la quinoa y emplatar en un plato hondo grande. Darle el toque con salsa ponzu y cebollino picado. RESTAURANT: Wellies Restaurant. RECIPE: Black hake from Patagonia with quinoa and lime. Cook the quinoa in fumet with bay leaves and garlic. Leave to stand. Seal the hake on the griddle. Add garlic, chopped ginger, brunoise vegetables and the lime skin. Add the quinoa and serve on a large, deep dish. Give a final touch with ponzu sauce and chopped chives. RESTAURANT: Wellies Restaurant. REZEPT: Schwarzer Seehecht aus Patagonien mit Quinoa und Limette. Quinoa mit Lorbeer und Knoblauch in Velouté kochen und beiseite stellen. Den Seehecht kurz auf dem Elektrogrill wenden, Knoblauch und gehackten Ingwer, BrunoiseGemüse und Limettenschale zugeben. Quinoa zufügen und auf einem großen, tiefen Teller anrichten, mit Ponzu-Sauce und gehacktem Schnittlauch garnieren.
RESTAURANTE: Ritzi. RECETA: Estofado de carrillera de ternera con espuma de setas. Freír las carrilleras con cebolla, apio, romero, ajo y tomate. Reducir con vino y cocinar unas 3h. Reposar las carrilleras envueltas en papel de aluminio. Cocinar el tocino con la mantequilla, añadir champiñones picados, vino blanco, caldo de ternera y nata. Cocinar a fuego lento y pasar por licuadora y colador. RESTAURANT: Ritzi. RECIPE: Veal cheek stew with wild mushroom foam. Fry the cheeks with onion, celery, rosemary, garlic and tomato. Reduce with wine and cook for around 3 hrs. Leave the cheeks to stand wrapped in aluminium paper. Cook the bacon with the butter, add chopped mushrooms, white wine, veal broth and cream. Cook over a low flam and blend and sieve. RESTAURANT: Ritzi. REZEPT: Schmorbraten vom RinderBackenfett an Pilzschaum. Das Backenfett mit Zwiebeln, Sellerie, Rosmarin, Knoblauch und Tomate braten. Mit Wein ablöschen und etwa drei Stunden kochen, dann Backenfett in Aluminiumfolie einschlagen und ruhen lassen. Speck mit Butter anbraten, gehackte Champignons, Weißwein, Rindsbrühe und Sahne zufügen. Auf kleiner Flamme köcheln lassen und abschließend durch ein Sieb abseihen. PUERTO 17 PORTALS

Marcarlo a la plancha a fuego lento y acompañar con lentejas amarillas preparadas con pimiento verde y rojo. Este plato es muy tradicional en Bangladesh. RESTAURANT: Mahal Tandoori. RECIPE: Mangsho Ghugni. Marinade the lamb with spices, garlic and oil. Seal on the griddle on a low heat and accompany with yellow lentils prepared with green and red pepper. This dish is very traditional in Bangladesh. RESTAURANT: Mahal Tandoori. REZEPT: Mangsho Ghugni. Lamm mit Gewürzen, Knoblauch und Öl marinieren, bei kleiner Flamme kurz auf dem Grill wenden und mit gelben, mit grünen und roten Paprikaschoten zubereiteten Linsen servieren. Mangsho Ghugni ist ein traditionelles Gericht in Bangladesh.
RESTAURANTE: Tahini Sushi Bar & Restaurant. RECETA: Sopa de miso, foie y trufa. Hervir 250ml de agua. Retirar y añadir fuera del fuego una cucharada de hondashi y de pasta de miso. Con la sopa todavía caliente, agregar 40g de foie, dejar reposar y triturar. Antes de servir colocar trozos de trufa que adornarán y aromatizarán el plato. RESTAURANT: Tahini Sushi Bar & Restaurant. RECIPE: Miso soup with foie and truffle. Boil 250ml de agua. Remove from the heat and add a spoonful of hondashi and miso paste. While the soup is still hot, add 40g foie, leave to stand and blend. Before serving, sprinkle on pieces of truffle to decorate and perfume the dish. RESTAURANT: Tahini Sushi Bar & Restaurant. REZEPT: Miso-Suppe, Foie und Trüffel. 250ml Wasser kochen, vom Feuer nehmen und einen Esslöffel Hondashi und Misopaste zufügen. In die noch warme Suppe 40g Foie geben, abkühlen lassen und im Mixer verrühren. Vor dem Servieren mit Trüffelstückchen garnieren, die dem Gericht eine einzigartige Duftnote verleihen.
RESTAURANTE: La Concha. RECETA: Paletilla de cordero lechal al horno. El cordero se cocina a baja temperatura durante tres horas. Lleva patató confitado, zanahoria baby, y frutos del bosque. El toque final es añadir una salsa de vino tinto hecha a base de demi-glace de cordero. RESTAURANT: La Concha. RECIPE: Roast spring lamb shoulder. The lamb is cooked at a low temperature for three hours. It is served with patató (small potatoes) confit, baby carrots and fruits of the forest. For the finishing touch, we add a red wine sauce made with lamb demi-glace. RESTAURANT: La Concha. REZEPT: Milchlammkeule aus dem Backofen. Das Lamm wird drei Stunden lang auf kleiner Flamme gebraten. Als Beilage werden kandierte Minikartoffeln, Babymöhren und Waldbeeren gereicht. Zur Abrundung gibt man eine Rotweinsauce aus der demi-glace Sauce des Lamms hinzu.

RESTAURANTE: Spoon. RECETA: Bouillabaisse. La olla provenzal de pescado se prepara con dorada, perca o merluza en filetes que se cocinan en un caldo de especias, verduras, chile y pescado. Además, a este plato de pescado tradicional se le añaden gambas, calamares y salsa rouille. RESTAURANT: Spoon. RECIPE: Bouillabaisse. The Provencal fish dish is prepared with filleted gilthead bream, perch or hake cooked in a broth with spices, vegetables, chili and fish. Moreover, one can add prawns, squid and rouille sauce to this traditional fish dish. RESTAURANT: Spoon. REZEPT: Bouillabaisse. Der provenzalische Fischeintopf wird aus Goldbrassen-, Barschoder Seehechtfilets zubereitet, die in einer Brühe aus Gewürzen, Gemüse, Chilli und Fisch gekocht werden. Die monumentale, 335 x 310 x 70 Zentimeter große Bronzeskulptur ist nach Aussage des Künstlers eine Ode an die Balance und den Schutz der Umwelt. „Es ist lebensnotwendig, das Gleichgewicht im Leben zu finden. Das versucht uns die Natur schon seit Anbeginn der Zeiten zu lehren. Alle Gegensätze vereinen sich stets an ihren Enden“, so Quinn. Seiner Ansicht nach „kann man das Nehmen nicht genießen, wenn man nicht gibt. Wenn der Mensch nur das schwer Erreichbare schätzt, kann er das Geschenk, das er in den Händen hält, nicht achten.“ Der Sohn von Hollywood-Legende Anthony Quinn wurde in Rom geboren und wuchs in Italien und den USA auf. Lorenzo Quinn widmete sich bereits im Alter von 21 Jahren der Bildhauerei. Seine Werke sind von großen Meistern, wie Michelangelo, Bernini und Rodin, inspiriert; in seiner katalanischen Gießerei kreiert er seine Werke mit dem antiken Wachsschmelzverfahren mit verlorenem Modell.

A continuación ponemos rumbo al sur para detenernos en el faro de Cap Blanc, desde donde disfrutar de unas maravillosas vistas panorámicas del Mediterráneo a pie de acantilado. e star in Palma, visiting Porto Pi lighthouse, the second-oldest in Spain, with references dating back to as far as the year 1300. This lighthouse houses one of the best signals exhibitions in Europe. We then head south, towards the lighthouse of Cap Blanc, which affords us wonderful panoramic views of the Mediterranean at the foot of the cliff. eim Auslaufen aus Palmas Hafen sieht man den Leuchtturm von Porto Pi. Der schon um 1300 existierende Turm ist der zweitälteste Leuchtturm von Spanien und beherbergt eine der besten Ausstellungen zum Thema Schifffahrtszeichen in Europa. Weiter geht’s Richtung Süden bis zum Leuchtturm von Cap Blanc. Von der Felsenküste öffnet sich ein atemberaubender Panoramablick aufs Mittelmeer. Bei schönem, klaren Wetter sieht man in der Ferne den legendären Leuchtturm der Insel Cabrera aufragen. Im malerischen Fischerdorf Porto Colom

Colom, su pequeño faro reluce en medio del bello puerto natural. Ya en el norte de la isla encontramos el faro de Alcanada, ubicado en un islote de la Bahía de Alcúdia. Un poco más al oeste, al final de una carretera con espectaculares vistas, el faro de Formentor se erige majestuoso sobre los afilados acantilados. Siguiendo la ruta de la Sierra de Tramuntana llegamos a Sóller, un hermoso pueblo lleno de historia en que conviven su faro antiguo, azotado a lo largo de los años por los temporales, y el moderno, algo más resguardado. Ya en el extremo suroeste, nos embarcamos hacia la isla de Dragonera, que cuenta con tres faros, uno de los cuales es el más alto de toda España. Precisamente este hecho dificultaba su visibilidad en los días de niebla, lo que obligó a sustituirlo por otros dos, uno en cada punta del islote.
the little lighthouse shines out in the middle of the beautiful natural harbour. And in the north of the island, we find the lighthouse of Alcanada, located on an islet in the Bay of Alcúdia. A little further west, at the end of a road with spectacular views, the Formentor lighthouse rises up majestically above the rugged cliffs. Following the Sierra de Tramuntana route, we come to Sóller, a beautiful town steeped in history where the old lighthouse, whipped by storms over the years, co-exists with the modern one, which is somewhat more sheltered. At the south-western tip of the island, we set sails for the island of Dragonera, which has three lighthouses, one of which is the highest in all of Spain. A m Tr a m u n t a n a - G e b i r g e e n t l a n g gelangt man in das hübsche, geschichtsträchtige Dörfchen Sóller, wo der alte, von Stürmen gebeutelte Leuchtturm und der moderne, etwas besser erhaltene „Bruder“ über die Küste wachen. Im tiefsten Südwesten wenden wir in Richtung der Insel Dragonera, auf der gleich drei Leuchttürme stehen. Einer der Türme ist der höchste von Spanien, was die Sicht an nebligen Tagen erheblich erschwerte, so dass ihm zwei weitere Türme an den anderen beiden Enden der Insel zur Seite gestellt werden mussten.

Pero más allá del fundamental trato humano, las grandes cadenas hoteleras con establecimientos de cuatro y cinco estrellas dan cada vez más importancia al aspecto de sus halls, en decoración, servicios, ambiente, diseño... Es el caso del Hotel Hyatt Regency, en San Francisco, que aparece en el libro Guinness de los Récord por tener el lobby más grande del mundo. Se podría decir que es prácticamente un centro comercial que alberga alrededor de cien comercios y restaurantes. Entrar en el Nhow Hotel de Berlín es tirarse de cabeza en el particular universo del diseñador Karim Rashid, con sus colores excéntricos, el rosa como protagonista y las increíbles formas futuristas. But beyond the fundamental human touch, the big hotel chains with four and five-star establishments are attaching more and more importance to the appearance of their lobbies, in terms of decoration, services, atmosphere, design, etc.... This is the case of the Hotel Hyatt Regency, in San Francisco, featured in the Guinness Book of Records for having the largest lobby in the world. One could say that it is practically a shopping mall, housing around one hundred businesses and restaurants. To enter the Nhow Hotel in Berlin is to be plunged head first into the particular universe of designer Karim Rashid, with its eccentric colours, a predominance of pink and incredible futuristic forms. Desde sus inicios, también presume de contar con los mismos proveedores, pequeños productores de la zona norte de Francia, con el 80% de productos bio y de comercio justo, y un cambio de carta dos veces al año. En San Francisco, Millenium Restaurant es un espacio para la innovación de la cocina vegana desde 1994 y se encuentra entre uno de los mejores 25 restaurantes vegetarianos y veganos del mundo, según el diario Huffington Post, y el primero para The Daily Meal. odo empezó hace cinco años, cuando el cocinero gaditano Ángel León, en sus jornadas de pesca, notó una luminiscencia en el agua en la que mantenía con vida a los calamares. El chef, poseedor de dos estrellas Michelin, había oído hablar de ciertas especies marinas que emiten luz, principalmente por dos causas: la reproducción o como método de defensa. La curiosidad le llevó a poner a investigar este fenómeno a su Laboratorio de Investigación Gastronómica Chef de Mar (el departamento de I+D de su restaurante en el Puerto de Santa María, Aponiente), en colaboración con científicos del Campus de Excelencia Internacional del Mar de la Universidad de Cádiz. Tras comprender qué organismos marinos eran bioluminiscentes, los investigadores se centraron en un crustáceo que es capaz de emitir luz. Tras determinar la temperatura, el pH y las condiciones necesarias para mantener su luminosidad, el siguiente paso fue aplicar esta ‘luz de mar’ a la cocina. De esta forma, se desarrolló un polvo que puede disolverse en caldos, bebidas y otros líquidos y que, literalmente, ilumina las elaboraciones.

t all started five years ago, when Cadiz-born chef Ángel León was out fishing and noticed a luminescence in the water where he was keeping the squid alive in. The chef, who has two Michelin stars, had heard of certain marine species that give off light, mainly for two reaons reproduction, or as a defence method. Curiosity led him to have his Sea Chef Gastronomy Research Lab (the R+D department of his restaurant in Puerto de Santa María, Aponiente) investigate the phenomenon, in collaboration with scientists from the University of Cadiz’s International Campus of Excellence of the Sea. After understanding which marine organisms are bioluminescent, the researchers focussed on a crustacean that is capable of emitting light. After determining the temperature, pH and conditions necessary to maintain its luminosity, the next step was to appl this ‘sea light’ to the kitchen. In this way a powder was developed that can be dissolved in soups, drinks and other liquids which literally lights up these preparations. PUERTO 68 PORTALS

¿VINO AZUL? BLUE WINE? BLAUER WEIN?

odo empezó hace apenas dos años con seis veinteañeros completamente ajenos al mundo del vino, pero con ganas de hacer algo diferente. Con el apoyo de un programa de emprendedores de la Universidad del País Vasco, desarrollaron algo totalmente novedoso: un vino de color azul comercializado alrededor del mundo bajo la marca Gik. Lo hicieron gracias a la ayuda de varios químicos de la universidad, quienes les ayudaron a extraer de la piel de la uva un pigmento llamado antocianina, que es lo que da al vino un color azulado, tonalidad que se potencia con la ayuda de otro pigmento llamado indigotina. A partir de este descubrimiento, han proliferado los caldos azules en España, con referencias como Marqués de Alcántara, elaborado en la zona de Levante con uva Chardonnay, que además ha incorporado nuevas modalidades, como vino frizzante azul, cava azul o mermelada de vino azul. En la línea de los espumosos, en Castellón encontramos la marca Wine of Fire, que, además de blancos y rosados, tiene las modalidades azul y plateada. Al agitar la botella, aparece ante nuestros ojos una especie de llama en el interior del vino, generando un efecto óptico único.
I
t all began nearly two years ago, with six twentysomethings who understood nothing of the world of wine, but were anxious to do something different. With the support of a programme for entrepreneurs by the University of the Basque Country, they developed something totally novel: a blue wine commercialised all over the world under the label Gik. They accomplished it with the aid of several of the university’s chemists, who helped them extract a pigment called antocyanin from grape skins, which gives the wine a bluish colour, a hue that is enhanced by adding another pigment called indigotine.
Based on this discovery, blue wines have proliferated in Spain, with names like Marqués de Alcántara, produced in the east with Chardonnay grapes, which has also incorporated new modalities, such as blue frizzante wine, blue cava pr blue wine jam. In sparkling wines, in Castellón we find the label Wine of Fire which, as well as whites and rosés, has blue and silver wines. When the bottle is shaken, before our eyes a kind of flame appears inside the wine, giving rise to a unique optical effect.

lles begann vor nicht mal zwei Jahren mit sechs Zwanzigjährigen, die fern der Welt erlesener Rebensäfte lebten, aber große Lust verspürten, etwas ganz Neues auf die Beine zu stellen. Mithilfe eines Programms für Jungunternehmer der Universität des Baskenlandes gelang ihnen die Kreation eines blaufarbenen Rebensaftes, der weltweit unter dem Markennamen Gik vertrieben wird. Dabei standen ihnen ein paar Chemiker der Universität zur Seite, die den jungen Entrepreneurs halfen, aus der Haut der Traube den Farbstoff Anthocyan zu extrahieren, der Wein einen bläulichen Farbton verleiht. Der Effekt wird durch den Zusatz des Farbstoffes Indigokarmin noch verstärkt. Seit dieser Entdeckung schießen immer mehr blaue Rebensäfte aus spanischen Fässern. Einer der besten Weine ist der an der Levante-Küste aus ChardonnayTrauben hergestellte Marqués de Alcántara. Die Kelterei hat neue Sorten, wie den blauen Frizzante oder blaue Weinmarmelade im Angebot. Bei den Schaumweinen findet sich in Castellón die Marke Wine of Fire, die es nicht nur als Weiß- oder Roséwein, sondern auch in der blau- oder silberfarbenen Version gibt. Beim Schütteln der Flasche kann man eine Art Flamme beobachten, die einen einzigartigen optischen Effekt erzeugt.

These are a few examples of the works produced by Boa Mistura, a collective or artists founded in Madrid by four teenagers in the late 1990s. Since then, they have intervened in cities all over the world, with a special preference for depressed or problem-ridden areas, where they try to do their bit not only through the beauty of their art and their positive message, but also by involving the local population in their projects. ‘We believe in participatory dynamics and inclusive projects, so we often give local inhabitants the opportunity to take part in the creation process, so that they can become the leaders of the process of change in their community’ explains one of the founders of the group, Juan Jaume. ‘We conceive art as a kind of acupuncture, a tool for change to improve cities, inspire people and reinforce community identities’, he says. uerto Portals ha dado el pistoletazo de salida a las regatas de invierno de la clase monotipo Dragon en noviembre, con la participación de 26 embarcaciones de siete nacionalidades distintas que han competido bajo unas condiciones meteorológicas excepcionales. La victoria ha sido para la embarcación danesa My Way de Frank Berg. Las próximas Winter Series se celebrarán el 16 y 17 de diciembre, el 13 y 14 de enero, y el 17 y 18 de febrero en aguas de Puerto Portals. La clase Dragon es una embarcación a vela diseñada por Johan Anker en 1929. Actualmente cuenta con unos 1.500 barcos activos en más de 26 países.

uerto Portals gave the starting signal for the monotype Dragon class winter regattas in November, with the participation of 26 boats of seven different nationalities that competed in exceptional meteorological conditions. l 8, 9 y 10 de marzo de 2018, Puerto Portals recibe una vez más, como sede oficial de la competición, una nueva edición del Oris Rally Clásico, la cita ineludible para los amantes del motor y una gran oportunidad para admirar vehículos clásicos. Esta novena edición contará con la participación de la piloto Jutta Kleinschmidt, la única mujer ganadora del circuito Dakar, entre los 90 coches inscritos hasta la fecha. Además, tendrá un nuevo tramo en competición, nunca realizado antes en Mallorca, que irá del Port des Canonge hasta Valldemossa y una copa especial para los vehículos clásicos eléctricos.

n 8th, 9th and 10th March 2018, for yet another year Puerto Portals welcomes the Oris Rally Clásico, as the official venue for the competition. This inescapable event for motor enthusiasts is a great opportunity to admire classic vehicles.
