Boat/Personal Watercraft

General acceptability

NEW Increased acceptability for watercraft:

• Value—$500,000 (increased from $350,000) for boats up to 10 years old; $350,000 for boats between 11 – 20 years old; $75,000 (increased from $40,000) for boats more than 20 years old (select ZIP codes in hurricane-prone states up to 35 feet in hull length and $175,000 in value)

Up to 700 horsepower for single engines/1,400 horsepower for twin engines on cruisers, motor yachts, and ski/wake boats with inboard or inboard/outboard engines

Engine configuration—Triple engines are now acceptable on certain outboard motor boats

• Personal watercraft (PWC) up to $27,000 in value

Boats up to 75 mph (bass boats up to 90 mph)

• Navigational areas: Inland lakes, rivers, and waters within 75 miles of the coast of the U.S. and Canada; 125-mile navigational limit endorsement available, which includes Bahamas

Specialty coverages

NEW Hurricane Haul Out coverage—Reimburses the customer 50% of the cost incurred to haul out their boat due to severe weather conditions

Actual Cash Value (ACV)—Pays lower of ACV or value listed on declarations page

• Agreed Value (AV)—Pays value listed on declarations page in event of total loss

Total Loss Replacement (TLR)—Replaces current boat with new boat

• Total Loss Coverage (TLC)—Pays the MSRP of a current model year PWC of the same make/model for a total loss

Sign & Glide® coverage—Help comes to your customer if they’re stranded on the water and need fuel, a jump, or tow

Propulsion Plus® coverage—Provides coverage for the lower units of outboard motors, and the upper and lower units of inboard/outboard motors in the event of a mechanical breakdown, including those caused by wear and tear

• Trailer Trip Interruption coverage pays for meals, transportation, and lodging if you have a trailer or tow vehicle breakdown or accident while towing your watercraft more than 100 miles from home

Disappearing Deductibles—Deductible reduced by 25% following each claim-free policy period; included with TLR and AV, and now available to purchase with ACV coverage

Primary Replacement Cost Fishing Equipment—$10,000

Primary Replacement Cost Personal Effects—$5,000

Roadside Assistance—24 hours a day, 7 days a week

• Medical Payments available up to $25,000

Fuel Spill Liability—Coverage for unintentional oil or fuel spills that result in bodily injury or property damage

• Wreckage Removal—Pays reasonable costs incurred by insured for any attempted raising, removal, or destruction of the wreckage; included with Comprehensive and Collision coverage, or Liability coverage when required

Water Sports coverage—Automatically included when Liability and Medical Payments coverages are purchased; Water Sports coverage covers bodily injury or property damage caused by persons towed by a covered vehicle for water sports such as water skiing, knee boarding, wake boarding, and tubing

Uninsured Boaters—Pays a covered person occupying a boat or PWC for bodily injuries caused by the owner or operator of an uninsured/underinsured boat or PWC

Pet Injury coverage is included with Comprehensive and Collision coverages—up to $1,000

NEW Safety Riding Apparel coverage—In the event of a covered loss, $500 protection included for helmets, eye wear, gloves, jackets, leathers, and boots; additional coverage available up to $3,000 can be purchased when at least one vehicle has Comprehensive/Collision

• Carried Contents® coverage pays to replace hunting, camping, touring, or similar gear that is carried while riding if damaged, destroyed, or stolen as a result of a covered loss

Enhanced Injury Protection, which covers a portion of income loss or death benefit as the result of a covered accident

Disappearing Deductibles—Deductible reduced by 25% following each claim-free policy period; included with TLC, and now available to purchase with AV and ACV coverages

• Accessory coverage provides $3,000 coverage for no extra premium. Additional coverage may be purchased, providing coverage up to $30,000. This is depreciation free. Please be sure to get an itemized list of accessories and prices.

Transport Trailer coverage available up to $10,000

Medical Payments available up to $25,000

NEW Roof Protection Plus®—Provides coverage to repair or completely replace the vehicle’s roof if it’s damaged; this coverage includes general wear and tear, and damage to other parts of the vehicle caused directly by the roof’s malfunction

Total Loss Replacement—Replaces current RV with new RV

Agreed Value—Pays value listed on declarations page in event of total loss

Actual Cash Value—Pays lower of ACV or rating base

Comprehensive coverage is now available without Collision on ACV policies
