THE MULTI TALENTED DIVA MAR-APR 2023 VOLUME II 1.
Being a small town girl , (hailing from Hindmotor , Hooghly district , West Bengal), Trina has always learnt to optimize her necessities . She led a simple life, devoid of any luxuries Her father is a retired banker and her mother is a home maker. Her mother was a gymnastic enthusiast, and her sole inspiration in pursuing Yoga on a serious note. She did her graduation with an honours in Mathematics , from Lady Brabourne College , Kolkata, and her Masters in Mathematics and Computing from IIT-ISM Dhanbad. She joined Indian Bank as Probationary Officer in April 2017 , later she resigned and joined ECGC Ltd. Formerly Export Credit Guarantee Corporation Of India Ltd.), under the Ministry Of Commerce, Government of India Currently she is posted as an Assistant Manager in the HR Department , Head Office, Mumbai.
She has trained herself in Indian Classical Yoga in her school days under the watchful supervision of Shri Tapas Karmakar ( M.Sc. Physical Education, Jadavpur University). She has won numerous awards in Yoga since her University days, she has also achieved Honorary Doctorate award in Peace and Meditation from Grace Ladies Global Academy on 9th of July 2022.
As she belongs to a conventional joint family, her initial days in Mumbai was not a cakewalk. She could not cope with the fast life of the busiest city indeed. At this juncture she started hovering through her childhood passion of writing poems , painting and practicing Yoga. She rejuvenated her old habits and during Pandemic situation from 2020 , she explored these activities in full swing! She had conducted numerous voluntary sessions on Yoga, Meditation poses , Pranayama and Surya namaskar in her local society and office arena. She has also led her office team in the grand celebration of International Yoga Day on 21st of June 2022 , in the Marine Drive , Mumbai, under the Department of AAYUSH , Govt Of India
She sternly believes in a simplified lifestyle, hence wants to create her own signature on this Earth through her passion in Yoga, paintings and her poems. She never dreams of becoming a billionaire , but yearns to spread positivity around her through her creativity and her eden of poesy.

Women Empowerment for me is the zeal with which any lady chases her dreams and turns it to a reality. A woman who is selling vegetables , or a woman who is an Air force pilot, holds the same significance , because of both of them are living their lives through their daily struggles and not just uttering slogans for feminism and women empowerment!
My mother is my inspiration in every sphere, be it my education or be it my Yoga regime. She has always guided me to face problems directly and fight it to get a solution. She was a gymnastic enthusiast in her childhood days. So she understands very well the significance of staying fit for every girl.
Being the only girl child to my parents I have faced many harsh comments and discriminations. My parents were ill treated as they had no son! Even when I was leaving my hometown Hindmotor, to pursue my Masters in Dhanbad, we had to face severe criticism , that it is not right for a girl to leave home for higher studies! It was even very surprising to the society that a girl alone will stay at a prime metro city like Mumbai and do her job! This was really very surprising to me, as this group of people were the ones who used to shout slogans of “Women Empowerment” in any social gatherings. They were the ones who had sent their aged parents to the old age homes! I feel that these sort of adverse situations proved very vital for me for building up my mental strength and dauntless attitude These made me even more desperate to follow my dreams.
At the rudimentary level, I would like to change the basic outlook of the concept of Women Empowerment. Somehow I feel this concept is , till date , is very much restricted to the elite society women. Women in the rural society who are working as farmers or vendors, or local fisherwoman, I personally feel they are the face of the real Women Empowerment. Therefore , I feel that the women empowerment concepts should be popularized more and more among those women who are working in the crude land level.
I will just share a personal message to all women, I am not a good looking lady. Due to my dusky skin colour and a very ordinary face , I had always heard adverse comments like I won’t get suitable grooms, I cannot get a job due to my poor dressing sense, unsmart body language, etc. But girls, trust me, the confidence matters, the attitude matters, the talent matters!

All awards are special to me, as I feel they help me to improve myself every second They are the purest form of inspiration to me So all of them are best to me! But among them the most inspiring is the Tagore Sahitya Samman Awards, as we all grow up reading the timeless creations of Rabindranath Tagore, and getting an award with his name engrossed is basically equivalent to getting Nobel Prize for Literature for me! Truly speaking , Gurudev Tagore is the stalwart and I donot have the guts to speak and describe him, as he needs no introduction to the World Therefore, till date, I feel that Tagore Sahitya Samman was the biggest award for me and my journey
Self respect is our rudimentary right of everybody, irrespective of gender So, at any level, if your self respect is harmed, please donot compromise on that Better work on it and superiorize yourself so that the other person just fears to approach you the next time Believe me, be the silent killer! The effect is praiseworthy, and you will enjoy the moment in a splendid way!
It is the blessing of God and my parents that you are designating me as a “self independent woman ” Since I am in Export Credit Insurance Sector, which is a service sector I feel blessed that in a very small magnitude God has given me the opportunity to work for the Nation
Till now, I cannot imagine that this is happening with me I bow down to every women in this society as I have always learnt form every women I have come across Be it my mother Smt Lina Kanungo, be it my mother in law Smt Rina Guha Neogi, be it my boss Smt Utkarsha Walawalkar Madam, be it the lady vendor from whom I purchase the daily food stuffs, be it anyone, I have always tried to learn from each of them And truly speaking I am blessed to have them in my life
Being a single girl child to my parents , I had faced a lot of discriminations in my locality, as if I could never be the son to my parents But gradually as I settled here in Mumbai with my current service , now those people have turned out to be my biggest admirer! I donot have words to describe them and their hypocrisy! But on 9th of July 2022, when my parents received the honorary doctorate degree certificate, that day was very special to me It is my mothers birthday, and it felt that it was her unachieved recognition that she received that day, in my name I am truly grateful to the entire team members of Priyas Wisdom Publication, for everything!
