THE FOOD SECTOR REQUIRES A HUGE AMOUNT OF LAND TO GROW CROPS AND COMMODITIES SUCH AS BEEF, PALM OIL, SOY AND PAPER ARE ASSOCIATED WITH OF FOREST AND OTHER VALUABLE HABITATS.

In 2022, Princes became a signatory to the UK Soy Manifesto, committing us to set a target for deforestation free soy, to ask our suppliers to adopt and cascade the same commitment, and to publicly disclose progress. Princes has written to all suppliers of these commodity areas to highlight our deforestation free requirements and to better understand their plans to ensure their products is from a deforestation free customers’ deadlines of 2025.
