From the outset, we were open about the fact that for the strategy to succeed, it had to be colleague led. Indeed we made no secret of the fact that we weren’t the experts and would need to take our time listening, talking and learning – and that is just what we have done.
With key partnerships now in place we are in the best position ever to continue the conversation and help to drive change. Increasingly we have seen (and colleagues tell us) that Inclusion and Diversity lives outside of the confines of the People Excellence framework and that is exactly right! Highlights from the 2022 I&D calendar include our third annual Princes Group Inclusion Week and the opportunity for colleagues to join live Q&As with journalist and broadcaster Louise Minchin on the subject of dealing with menopause in work and Sonia Basey MBE along with Ben Osu, Senior Lead on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion at Everton FC to celebrate Black History Month.
